- As every year, I just couldn't help but make a festive video from Christmassy Edinburgh! Featuring everyone's favourite sparkly spots but also some details you might not have known about!
We're about to visit the Assembly Festival's Christmas market, their winter wonderland village, the Lidl on Ice ice rink, the much quieter St Andrews square and of course our favourite nooks and crannies of Edinburgh Old Town!

Oh nooooo sometimes it just gets too busy to say hi to people, I find myself in that situation way too often! Or more like... I tend to overthink the whole "should I say hi to the person who I know so well from... their instagram?" haha.

We're heading up to Edinburgh for our annual Christmas Market trip this coming weekend, although we also visit Edinburgh at other times of the year too as we need our Novapizza fix (vegan Italian loveliness). We visited the Castle of Light last year and whilst we thought it was good, we thought the light show through the Royal Botanical Gardens was magical and would recommend that. BTW, I love that you always give local businesses a shout out as they are at the heart of your beautiful city 👍

Hi I really enjoy yr videos of Edinburgh. I was in Edinburgh in late Sept and I really love the city. Would like some info from you regarding Edinburgh during winter. I plan to visit Edinburgh again during winter to experience snowfall and snows. But heard from the news that Edinburgh can have a snowstorm with the closure of airport etc. So when actually the best time during winter that I can avoid snowstorm as I don't wanna get stuck and unable to enjoy snow in Edinburgh and unable to get back home but still can experience a wonderful snow in Edinburgh?
Edinburgh is usually not snowy at all - so when it does snow, it pretty much always means some level of disruption to one’s plans! But I just wouldn’t really count on snow in general!

Hello! I am currently using Sony A7sIII with a Sony FE 24-240mm f3.5-6.3 lens for the city b-roll .) for shots with me in them it's usually a wider f1.8 sony lens!

Everyone is happy to see the more like Xmas mood in the city. However, this year Xmas market is very much disappointing. It was always expensive, but this year they got crazy. One cup of mulled wine (150-200 mL) is £7, plus £2.50 for an extra shot of rum or amaretto. This year market is tiny, and sadly the market is not focusing on local businesses. You can find many companies which are not local at all. In such events we should promote what is best in our region and Scotland has so much to offer. Overall, fairy lights are there, so it is nice to have a look, but it is not as magical as it used to be.
Is the Ferris wheel a permanent feature or just for the holidays?

Dufam, ze este stihneme Christmas market, idealne bez miliona ludi uz. To sa na vstup tam naozaj cakaju take rady? Ked uz si dnu, nie su velke rady pri stankoch s hot chocolate alebo tak? Este musim vyzistit, ako to je s tym ruskym kolom, dcera by bola nadsena. Dakujem ti za tvoje videa, rozsirujem si obzory, co vidiet, kam ist pocas nepekneho pocasia. Rada by som este videla novsiu verziu, kam cez uprsany den, kedze kaviarne niektore su uz zrusene, tore si odporucala. Board games cafes som nejako uz nenasla ziadne ja osobne, co ma mrzi, pretoze s dcerou rady hrame hry a spojit to s kavou/cajom, kolacom, pripadne nejakym brunchom by potesilo :) Este raz dakujem za informativne videa :)
Ahoj ahoj! Vypada to ze trhy budou jeste otevrene 3. ledna, a tou dobou uz snad vsichni budou unaveni z Vanoc a Hogmanay, takze urcite nebude tak plno jako ted .) ono i ted to pres tyden docela jde, ale od patku do nedele je to vzdycky sila. Listky na kolo se daji koupit predem! (£10)
S Board game cafes je to ted tezsi, uz nam zustal jen Games Hub, coz je spis takova dospelacka zasivarna, nema to uplne utulnou atmosferu ./

Nice to see certain things back to normal. Sad but not surprising to see that Sturgeon continues to enforce restrictions by the back door. The previous event company withdrew due to interference from Sturgeon and her demand that restrictions are put in place to control numbers. The crew members say they have been ordered to control numbers due to covid. Sturgeon will never allow complete normality.
So underbelly pulled out and took 5 million the council paid them never kicked them out they didn't wanna do it, worst edinburgh christmas I have seen went on opening day did a vlog or two but was bad seeing so little with higher prices Glasgow good this year the ice rink is the only thing that's better
The young lady at the start of the video can do a really good Scotish accent.
The Edinburgh markets are tatt and tacky.
