This is a wonderful episode. Thank you for having the brilliant lace knitter Monique Boonstra! She is so knowledgeable and so fun to listen to. I hope there will be more 💕🧶
This was very informative. I’ve never used a lifeline. I use ChiaoGoo red lace interchangeable needles, so I should be able to do it! I’ll have to find a good demo video, or, if you feel like it, perhaps you can do a short video demo😉
Very helpful thanks. I will definitely be rewatching this before casting on. Just got shipping notification for my yarn. Now I have to learn the pronunciation of minogame all over again😂😂I was pronouncing it wrong, started using your pronunciation Irina, and now need to remember Monique’s pronunciation.
BTW, I just spent the entire morning on my iPad, sourcing out a suitable lace weight yarn for this project. I always try to patronize my LYSs, but I guess it’s not practical for them to stock a “niche” yarn…they do have plenty of fluffy mohair lace, which is super popular for garments etc. I’m in Canada and finally settled on a lovely Holst lace yarn, 80% alpaca, 20% wool if I remember correctly…my head is going in circles from all the tabs I opened! Looking forward to the KAL.

Oh, we haven’t even started yet 😂
This was a wonderful interview with Monique! So inspiring and informative. Thank you Irina!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Hello from St. Louis Missouri! I love lace knitting I think it’s so beautiful and delicate.
Yeah, me too
Once again great questions and also great answers. I got convinced to swatch. 😉
Me too 😂

A demo would be most helpful. I've Chiagoo needles too but have yet to figure out how to use it to put in a lifeline.
Great to hear the designer. Thanks Irina.
Great video. Monique is one of my knitting heroes; I agree that her talent for reading patterns on historic lace is extraordinary. Thank you!
Glad you liked it
Thank you for sharing, just waiting for my lace yarn to arrive so I can start. ❤❤
Hope it will get to you soon
Thanks, Irina for this episode. Monique is great and her tips were very helpful. I love listening to her.
We spent half a day chatting:)
@@Fiberchats Well, that would be half a day well spent 😊
