Motorcycle Mechanic from Wisconsin here, love the video, just getting into sewing and looking to get into making waterproof bags for some of my more adventure motorcycles. Super informative and just what I needed to learn, thank you ladies. Glad to be both of your channels newest follower
PUL can be ironed. I fuse interfacing to it all the time. It was made for diapers and can be washed and dried. The holes from sewing are closed by putting it in a hot dryer. It is autoclavable.
Thank you both for this video. I just bought water-resistant canvas and have only previously used waterproof canvas. I am so grateful to learn the difference!
Wow, I learned so much. The info about letting the fusing cure made so much sense. I’ve made quite a few leashes with WPC recently. No ironing, just lots of clips!
The / to the stitching is natural. The top and bottom thread twist to make a stitch. If the type of fabric(water resistant) does not have a place for the twist to bury into, the / will show.

If I have problems birthing a bag made of water proof canvas , I use a blow drier to make the canvas more pliable.

Even when using WPC, the seams are not.
