I'm not the biggest Oasis fan (a handful or their songs are very good, I'll give them that) but I'm a HUGE Kinks fan, and I was thinking that Noel doesn't really deserve to be interviewed shoulder-to-shoulder with such a legend of rock. But then Ray mentioned his brother (in regards to bringing kids on tour) and then it clicked. Now I want to see more of these two together. They get each other.
Apparently you never listened to Something Else by the Kinks; The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society; Arthur or the Decline and Fall of the British Empire; Lola vs the Powerman & the Moneygoround....and much of his other unnoticed (At the time) works. Noel may be a God...but gods come and go where legends stay forever. I quite like Noel, but Ray is one of my favourite writers.

I think Live Forever is up there with anything the Kinks have done, Even Waterloo Sunset, In fact id rate those 2 songs as equally as good as each other.
Reading through comments on vids like this always confuses me. Why the fuck does music have to be a competition? Personally I enjoy both The Kinks and Oasis immensly and see no reason to even compare them. They are two fantastic bands whos given me a shitload of great songs to enjoy. Long story short, Ray and Noel are both legends in their own right.
its funny to watch Ray watching someone else as famous as him get 'ego massaged'. he likes it, but its slightly annoying. especially when the youngster is a massive fan.
