GRUESOME MURDER OF MOTHER AND 5 MONTH INFANT IN KHANU VILLAGE, LONGDING DISTRICT.

Longding 24 Aug 2024 : Accordingg to Longding Police, on 24 August 2024 at around 6 am, information received from one shri Manngo Pansa s/o Ganai Pansa of village Khanu PO/PS:- Wakka to the effect that one shri Nanpho Gangsa contact shri Manngo Pansa over phone that he has seen dead bodies of Ngamjun Gangsa and one infant child in the whatsapp group at Khanu whatsapp group which was circulated by the alleged accused person himself and accordingly PS team left alongwith executive magisterate Shri Bini Shiva CO Longding. While reached at PO, police team arrested the alleged accused person and visited PO thoroughly, seized local daqion being disclosed by the alleged accused person. Accordingly a case has been registered vide LDG PS Case no 40/24 U/S 103(1) BNS, self Insp. T.Konia taken up for investigation.
While proceeding towards the PO (place of occurrence) led by shri Manngo Pansa, police team managed to apprehend the alleged accused person on the way to PO (which is located at lower school colony) longding in the presence of executive magistrate Shri Bini Shiva. Upon arrival at PO, police team found the dead body of the alleged accused wife Ngamjun Gangsa 32 years, and his infant child Phagang Gangsa age 5 months, in the kitchen room covered with light blanket tightly wrapped with it, when uncovered found that both were pronounced dead at the scene, preliminary investigation suggests that the deaths were caused by chopping, motive behind the killings remains unclear, although the authorities exploring mental health issue. On the strength of disclosure statement submitted by the alleged accused person shri Gangngam Gangsa, 35yrs S/O Gangjao Gangsa of Khanu village, PO/PS:- Wakka, PS team managed to recover the weapon of offense i.e local dao(hidden in the bedroom corner) and one spade (kept in backside of the veranda) and accordingly weapon of offense have been seized in presence of witnesses and executive magistrate longding. After the post-mortem and necessary formality, the dead body was handed over to the family.
