As you can tell, I really enjoyed this conversation with Masaba, she talked about failure and success so openly! Such a powerful woman who has fought for everything she has
Even if inspiring, but I always wonder how academia is never a thing for the kids from the industry. How come none of these thought that they could study. I think they get things so easily, they feel they just can do anything.
Much needed interview 👏👏👏👏 I am black Indian girl so I look up to MASABA (you are such an inspiration). not only me but all those girls out there who still struggle to get out of their homes and face the world. Thank You so much Faye D'Souza and Masaba ❤
What Masaba said about race and Faye also did... totally hit my heart. I am a darker coloured sister, my younger sis is much fairer than me. It gets pointed out constantly. And now its spoken of in hushed tones because its not politically correct. But it's always THERE. We humans are very racist.
There’s a reason why Masaba has been my role model for the longest time, and this conversation right here made that sense in me even stronger! More power to you! ❤
Masaba ji i love u the moment iheard about ur story what u gone through as a child n toiled through those emotions that are very hurtful n grown urself into a wonderful human being .by the way i loved ur collections shaya oxidised jewellery in tanishq n tribe by amarpali which we as modern women cherish and feel proud of wearing it and buying it. Madam lots of love from hyderabad n god bless u
Masaba Gupta, you are incredible! You embraced your roots and stayed true to who you are. Incomparable to those who go under the knife again and again just to be accepted as main stream actresses, you have fought hard and made people notice you because of your talent and authenticity. Hope many women will get inspired by your story!
I'm loving this! I love how she tried singing, dancing, tennis, and now even acting. I loved her show and love her clothes. Thank you for also talking about sustainability in fashion.
One thing I like most about Masaba is her Honesty❤ . she is very very honest while sharing her feelings and experiences. And ofcourse she is a very strong woman too who has gone through a lot and still managed to be a good hearted ,sensitive human being . Stay strong beautiful lady , sending lots of great wishes to you and your little one ❤🎉🥰
So much power radiating in that interview room. Loved every minute of the interview. Thank you Faye and Masaba for a fabulous interview. @Faye D'souza - India's own Steven Bartlett and I say this with the greatest respect ever.
So good to know someone as bold as Masaba. No qualms at all, so clear and confident. Esp. for those of us who grew up seeing both her parents. Such unique people need to be celebrated and not have such resistance! And Faye also let the conversations flow, usually we have some dominating or interrupting hosts.
When I was 8 I wanted to be an astronaut then someone said r u mad ..dream thoda low… it’s not possible 😵💫…then when I was 12 I wanted to become a singer but parents said r u crazy .how r u gonna find work 🤷🏻♀️..then my dream to be an actor was shattered by a dear friend who told me since I m short I won’t be given a chance ….the major problem here in my story is that “ I BELIEVED THEM N NEVER TRIED, NEVER PUT MYSELF TO TEST” ….yahan par masaba jaise role models play n important part.. they keep u focussed on ur goal n keep trying 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I sat through the whole episode and couldn't take my eyes off for a minute from you two. Such inspiring women and such a great episode about learning from failures. That's how a Phoenix rises.
Exactly what I felt after visiting Switzerland ….. most beautiful and serene and disciplined and quiet but I don’t think I could live in that silence … love the noise we have in India😄
I admire Masaba a lot. I am so impressed with her clothing and cosmetic brand.😍 And I also like the way she advertises or promotes her makeup products. I love to watch it.
Masaba has always been an inspiration.. she does her own life so well, not caring about anyone else's opinion.. love it! And Faye ma'am you're brilliant at your job and your interviewing skills are too good and so much better than the podcasters we have today!
The thumbnail should be 'learn from Masaba's Entrepreneurial experiences' but well we need such distasteful thumbnails to attract audiences right? This is a gem of an interview about how she faced the various challenges in her business. Lets focus on that
Wow!!! Can I just say, how much I learnt through this conversation. Thank you so much for making such quality podcast. Faye had all the right questions up her sleeves. ❤
I enjoyed watching the entire interview, loved the honesty and the resilience that she's had into trying new things until she found her own space in fashion, and that she still continued to try out other stuff like with the acting and the make up line. REally great interview.
Another great podcast Faye with Masaba . Found her to be articulate , open , clear and strong during the Podcast. She is a woman with head on her shoulder . She made an excellent point that Part from being creative , any designer need to be aware of the numbers , otherwise you and your business head or financial partner will never be on the same page . About the colour and texture of the skin, she was spot on. As Indian , we are racist and bigots. Rich or poor , educated or uneducated , it runs across all strata of society . Great one Faye D’ Sooza
I thoroughly enjoyed the interview. Faye allowed Masaba to speak her heart out which. And Masaba ...wow!! Extremely articulate, calm and grounded. I am very fond of Love Child products . They are within one's buying range. Well, mostly😊
enjoy Masabas interviews...what a well grounded Person..loved her in Masaba Masaba and also followed her then on instagram..wish her all the success and a wonderful family journey ahead :)
Loved this ❤️ Faye, could you please do an elaborate discussion on colourism in India? Nobody talks about it here or even understand it and I really feel you can make a difference.
What a fantastic set of lessons from one of the beautiful women I know and I admire. Bless my late brother's soul, he was someone who probably loved and bullied me in the same measure in my early years. I was considerably darker than my brother, who was this fair, chubby, pink kid, 7 years older, and he would bully me by singing this poem/song, काला कलूटा बैगन लूटा, and used to get pissed. I guess it eventually taught me to not care/bother. Of course, my and my Rakhi sister's retort used to be, हम काले हैं तो क्या हुआ दिलवाले हैं.... absolutely love and adore you Masaba. You too Faye....
Masaba you are the most beautiful young lady inside and out, you are an honest and attractive young lady, you don't need other people's validation, you can stand on your own and your team in fashion industry
The big deal is that there's a lot of internalized hatred in Indians about their skin colour, which they shamelessly project onto the children and adults around them.
I understand her perspective about the economics of sustainability. I disagree with the statement either pick it up in all aspects or dont harp about it. It is not going to be feasible to change everything at one go. It has to be done in phases and for the economics to work too it needs to be pushed or it will never change.
Loved this conversation. Thank you both for being open and vulnerable. I have read Neena Gupta’s book and will recommend others as well. She has to fight so hard to get the success she has gotten.
Faye, this is one of the most insightful podcast I have seen in recent times. Such deep questions and such honest answers. This is how you do a meaningful podcast which isn’t about money money money but about being human. Chapri podcasters like allahabadia etc needs to learn!
This is so inspiring.....and empowering....masaba has always been a multi tasker....so brilliant ...at her work....would love to see her in a sports biopic... looking at her sports background.....how abt the p r Usha ma'am biopic.....she will nail it
She is such a linear combination of Viv and Neena.
She has Viv's swag and Neena's candor. What a combo!
Lovely interview Faye!

Folks need to see this.
So inspiring ❤️
Great Conversation ! Inspiring at so many levels !
Even if inspiring, but I always wonder how academia is never a thing for the kids from the industry. How come none of these thought that they could study. I think they get things so easily, they feel they just can do anything.
The only thing off about this interview is your comments on her! Bad interviewer!
Much needed interview 👏👏👏👏

She and her mom are probably the strongest women out there.
There’s a reason why Masaba has been my role model for the longest time, and this conversation right here made that sense in me even stronger! More power to you! ❤

So relatable, especially the part about separating and dealing with the 'artist' and the 'business person', both of which are equally important ❤
She is right skin bias colorism has increased not decreased.
So much power radiating in that interview room. Loved every minute of the interview. Thank you Faye and Masaba for a fabulous interview. @Faye D'souza - India's own Steven Bartlett and I say this with the greatest respect ever.
Masaba's eyes lit up when Faye asked about West Indies... loved it

What a genuine human being and this conversation was for real people and real situations
I sat through the whole episode and couldn't take my eyes off for a minute from you two. Such inspiring women and such a great episode about learning from failures. That's how a Phoenix rises.
Masaba is so articulate, well spoken and nuanced. Pleasure to hear.
What a woman she is!! Absolute inspiration !! Such raw energy!! More power to you my love🩷
Exactly what I felt after visiting Switzerland ….. most beautiful and serene and disciplined and quiet but I don’t think I could live in that silence … love the noise we have in India😄
Faye!!! You are a bundle of surprises; nothing stale, monotonous, repetitive or boring about your show!! Much ❤️
I like how she has separated the art and commerce. "This is art and you can put it on the wall."
two rockstars and one super episode that has given me 100x energy to keep going and find a way!
I admire Masaba a lot. I am so impressed with her clothing and cosmetic brand.😍 And I also like the way she advertises or promotes her makeup products. I love to watch it.

Over 80% of Indians are dark skinned. What's the big deal.
The big deal is that there's a lot of internalized hatred in Indians about their skin colour, which they shamelessly project onto the children and adults around them.
