If Goff was going to do that why didn't he accept a smaller deal? I'm not trying to sound like a butt I'm just curious I thought for sure he would be a team friendly deal... For what this team did for him anywhere else he would of been a career back up with no shot to prove otherwise...
Hutch and Kerby are definitely biggest priority coming soon. I’d hate to see Jamo go, but I’d have to prioritize those two over him. After those guys, Gibbs, Laporta, Branch, and Jack are the main priority.
Agree with mostly everything. Aidan will be the highest paid D lineman in the league. And Kerby more than likely will get paid, possibly the highest paid safety in the league.
Are we really worrying about this now? The salary cap usually increases each year, but say they win it all this year, it ultimately comes down to whether the players want to keep running it back, focus on competing for championships, or prioritize getting paid. It’s a matter of choice. Plus, it also depends on the new talent they draft and develop. We’re only considering the current players, but the impact of incoming rookies is still unknown. Must be a slow news day. 🤣
Does that take into account the players that will be unrestricted free agents that we signed a 1 year deal for? I'm talking about starters like Carlton Davis, Tim Patrick, Zeitler, Glasgow, and key backups, Davenport and Craig Reynolds? You're also assuming that those players are willing to Sign 1 year deals with Detroit and not test the market as far as Iffy, Levi, and Barnes. Do you think we franchise tag anyone this year or next year?
Whats the hate with broderic martin? Dude is physical anomally, played through injuries and still has great potential. Whats so funny? Cuz he played a 1-2 bad games? If you gonna come at anyone playing bad on their 1st couple games escpecially as a tackle then youve never played ball
@@joshuafuentes2833 if you ain’t playing snaps you are trash, Heck even Christian Mahgony and Mekhi wingo has played more snaps than a 2 year player in brodric. So brodric is so good that he isn’t a “work in progress”?
I lowkey think if it comes to it Goff would be willing to take a pay cut to help his teammates get extended.
Or restructure. Goff got his NTC, so he's good.
Restructure not cut - pay cut for marginal players

Kerby being a safety helps. He can be franchised and it won't break the bank. Hopefully we lock up a long term deal with him and Hutch this off-season

Kerb just got All Pro so someone will give him a huge bag
I think it's required by the league to have at least one player that's completely useless which explains Brodrick Martin
I would think Anzo need a new contract early. Hes got one more year?
Other podcasts don’t want the Lions to be able to pay our players. Some of them are the ones making a deal about that. We be fine.
This guy Derrick is obsessed with Broderick Martin. I have to wonder what Martin has done to him
Were gonna save some money to pay people with replqcing these older guards.
100%

Yeah this dude has had a hard on for Broderick Martin for a while. It seems personal to me
Vildor has played better
@@Jesusvision101 bro 29 aint like that
Martin has the size to be one of the best in his position where as vildor is a work in progress
