I received my Shodan and Nidan from Master Okazaki. When the ISKF was still with the JKA. I trained when Shotokan was in it's heyday. 80s/90s. It has since become very watered down (in my personal opinion, and I'm not close to alone). Too many young kids, Too many old people just starting. A lot of BBs now couldn't hold a candle to our brown belts back then. (once again, just my opinion). Even the ISKF. I will say, Master Okazaki doesn't get near the credit he deserves as compared to some other younger, more flamboyant (Yahara, Kagawa ect) Shotokan masters.
