    My husband and I have a 5 year goal to move to Nicoya, Costa Rica. We've never been there, but I came across it through some online research about Costa Rica. I have no idea how I will make this happen, but I'm going to try lol. The biggest obstacle is income. My husband has a great job here in Georgia, but it isn't something that can be done online. Neither of us have degrees. I'm very computer literate and love tech, but he is the opposite. So I'm trying not to get discouraged and trying to keep looking for ideas of an income if we made this move. I appreciate these videos and Kema maybe one day we will meet in Nicoya lol!

      Hang in there, It's an adventure. If it doesn't work out you can move someplace else. It's easy once you make the first step

    Thank you Devon! Kema is The One. Every time I think "It's too much, I don't want to make the move," it seems Kema comes up on my videos, living her best life in the way I want to live mine. She wooed me away from plans to move to Panama because honestly I didn't know there are as many Black expats in CR. I happen to live in one of the few places left in the US that's peaceful, safe with lots of nature, barely enough services and of course pathetic overpriced healthcare, or it wouldn't be so hard to leave, but Kema is still the temptress. Whatever I decide/gets decided for me, I wish her and her family, in the US and Costa Rica, every good fortune. Her daughter is already so impressive!

      Hi! Thank you so much for commenting. How fortunate you are to be in a calm safe place. I hope that whatever you choose, you get to live and experience life fully. That is really all that matters. Thank you for the well wishes for my family.
      Blessings

    I’m interested in the fact that you opened a bank account on a recon trip. Did you have citizenship before you opened a bank acct?

    • @TheAngelsGirl
      @TheAngelsGirl Рік тому +2

      Hi Pamela! I don't have citizenship now, I am a resident. But in 2018 when we did our recon visit, we were able to open a bank account. We had to have a detailed list of documents and letters from our US bank, but we were able to. I have heard that in the last couple years, the requirements have changed and I am unsure if you can still open an account without having residency or opening a corporation. I will ask around and come back to update you.

      Hello friends.
      Do you live in San Jose close to the immigration building?
      Who do you use to fill your information forms?
      Are they charging more than a 1000 dóllars for that application ?
      Thanks
      Larry

      @@Caveman007freelancer Hi Larry! No we do not live in or near San Jose. I fill out all of my forms myself, so I am unsure the going cost for such a service. Sorry I could not be of more help.

      Yes it depends on where you live and how you want to live, and you will need to be a bit frugal. IMO. But everyone is different.
