I liked your reaction with your honesty attitude about the entire video and song of Hana.
All the Kaze’s songs are about higher self (none of them are about romantic relationships)
Not only he is an amazing musician but also just an amazing human being. He often sings about perspective of death and life.
He is the only one knows what all this song is about, but what I get at least from the lyrics is your happiness is inside of you not outside. As long as you are true to your self (higher version of you) you will find absolute happiness that is not broken by anything. He strives always to deliver this message to people , be happy, be free, connect to your better version of you❤

If Japanese is tricky for you, getting the real vibe of the song "Flower" from his dance might be tough. Watch the music video - that's where the title clicks with the flower theme, revealing a deep, spiritual message in a surprisingly upbeat way right before his journey. It's a fantastic song with a hidden, awe-inspiring message for those who catch the magic between the lyrics and the video❤

Watching his other song "Garden" culd give you a better understanding about Hana bc I think those two songs r related. He likes to use metaphors n symbolism in his lyrics, "garden" is his life, his colorful outfit n his dancers costumes representing d flowers he's talkg about, flower is d metaphor of his personality which is a mix n match of various colors, he n d veiled ppl r d other selves dat he puts to rest n d ceremony is a send-off for this past selves bc he grows up n has found his more mature self (a new color/flower) he's not looking for d flower anymore, his "flower's here"

Yeah a lot of people do feel that he kinda erased the borders between gender, nationality, race and culture especially strongly in this music video. Also there are apparently only two instruments playing the music in the background. There are the drums (played by a pro drummer), and everything else you hear comes from a synthesizer (played by Kaze himself).
It's true that the two of you speak different main languages but it's interesting to see you picking up a couple new English vocab from Kaze (he did those translations himself). It's understandable though, since they're not commonly used words and more used in a poetic sense. Though we do also use wilted to describe leafy green vege that's no longer fresh.
Thats not shot in the the Grand Canyon. Or anywhere in the States really. Its shot in the great Australian outback. You know, where they shot Mad Max? 😆
