Thanks for keeping it real! Perfumes are like people-good for a reason, a season or (very few) a lifetime! I check in periodically with my collection to see if each fragrance is worthy and decluttered a bunch.
It’s amusing that people get upset that you’ve decluttered something you raved about once upon a time. You’ve made it pretty clear that you’re very picky and have no intention of having a 500+ perfume collection. There’s definitely no reason for me to be offended that you let go of things I love. LOL I still love them, and I’m not letting them go. People are so goofy, but you handled it graciously and entertainingly. 😊
I don't get it either. It seems that some people think UA-camrs and other influencers are never allowed to change their mind about anything... if they said they loved something, they have to love it forever. 🤦♀
I love watching declutters, it’s an interesting way to learn about the perfumes and your preferences. I also appreciate the heads up at the beginning to skip forward if we didn’t want to hear descriptions that might ruin a scent for us! 😊
Ahhh Anne! Your declutter-related videos are my guilty pleasure. Being a fellow fragrance lover with a sizable collection, I often found myself lost in my gems. So, I created a Notion template to keep track of my declutters, wishlists, budget, and overall collection. It's been a game-changer for me, and I thought it might be helpful for other fragrance enthusiasts too. If you or anyone else is interested, just let me know! Looking forward to more of your wonderful declutter videos!
I honestly LOVE it when people rip into perfumes and are super honest. It saves me money when I'm testing out something and on the fence of buying it. I have friends who'll tell me if it smells like wet cigarettes, bathroom cleaner citrus, pepper spray, gasoline, a PS4 😂
I love the idea of curating my collection too! I’m a lot more mindful of what I bring in and if a perfume I’m considering is similar to something I have, I don’t bring it in until I use up the one I have. It really helps keep the size of my collection down. Great video as always! 👍🏻
Anne, you are a kickassss reviewer. Just love your vibe and realness I appreciate your abrasive ( in a great way) of describing perfumes. You also crack me up. Thank you!!
Decluttering an amazing perfume that doesn't feel like you is totally a valid reason to declutter. I too am only keeping fragrances that I absolutely adore, sampling more, and blind-buying less.
January was the typical mid winter panic clean for me (NY living it’s finest) and I decluttered sooooo many (as usual) and man it felt good. There’s nothing like clearing out your perfumes and seeing that extra room open up..for more obviously but still. I was high off that shit for weeks. Go ahead girl💃🏽
I finally boarded the Cloud train, but I really wanted to get the intense. Wellll I sprayed both versions on my hands and my daughter told me the intense smelled like something that would be sold in Justice or Claire’s. I was so offended lol.
I 100% agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL of the fragrances I own, I absolutely LOVE and no matter what I grab to wear I am extremely excited!!!!!! LOVES ONLY! xo
It seems like people are TRYING to love these beautiful fragrances more than actually loving them. Because you can smell it's unique.. it smells good.. it smells quality. And a perfume can be all of these things and still not Full Bottle Worthy for your tastes. And that's ok. I would love to hear about these experiences too. I only want the best of the best fragrances in my collection that I love.
It's often a question of changing body chemistry. The way a perfume interacts with your skin is not static, it's dynamic. And sometimes that changes the way we enjoy it. It's all good.
I saw that video, and was wondering about a couple, but I figured you had had your time with them, and decided they weren't for you. No shame in that. You have always been up front about being true to yourself and curating a lot. I love Wood Sage & Sea Salt, it reminds me of my grandma, but I'm the best way possible. I only have a little 9ml of it though, and really just use it for when I want to be comforted, or sometimes to go to bed, but that's really it.
I know EXACTLY what you mean by someone saying a fragrance smells like something and then not being able to get it out of my head. This has happened before for sure. And I've done this to other people too 🙊
Lol. I got a sample and just purchased Dolce Amalfi cuz I want to smell like a piece of Juicy Fruit gum. 😂 . Sugary sweet is not usually my vibe, but this one pulled me in a nostalgic memory sort of way.
Hi Anne, I know I'm late to watching this video. But I watched it and thought to myself you rolled this out perfectly. I thoroughly enjoyed this, more of this content please.
I LOVE your mindset of “no likes, only LOVES” in your collection. And how you want everything to truly feel like YOU. It’s inspired me sooo much to be more mindful and careful with what I put in my own collection. Not to mention I’ve have substantially less blind buys. Thx for being a good influence on be bby! 🤎🖤🤎🖤🤎
Totally can relate with loving Rose and Iris floral scents. Thank you for doing this! It’s helping me also rethink about what my perfumes smell like and what’s worth keeping haha
I really don't get the comparison of Dolce Amalfi with a gum. I just don't. And I really tried to understand the comparison, my nose just doesn't get it. So I'm happy to have it in my collection ☺️
@@AnneLauren yes 😊😁 I'm happy as well. But frankly it was a blind buy even after I listened to everyone calling it a bubble gum 😅 and because of it I was expecting something much sweeter. I get Green Apples and Quince in the opening + lots of spices and that is how I continue smelling it on its dry down... spicy. But no bubble gum for my nose. It's so interesting how different our noses perceive tge same scents 😁
Sometimes I get the Juicy Fruit and other times I just get this wonderful warm spicy scent. I just take whatever I get in the moment because to me it all smells good no matter what. I think that our noses can be strange like that and pick up on certain notes one day and not another. I am not sure why, but defiintely finding this to be true on my fragrance journey.
I got the juicy fruit vibe from Dolce Almofe immediately, but it's what I like about the fragrance. I wear it usually around Halloween with a shirt with pink in it because bubble gum was my favorite thing to get when trick or treating. You're not wrong about a fragrance changing on your skin. I'm a gym rat, so my diet a lot changes depending on if I'm trying to gain muscle or lose weight. For example, I love Silver mountain water by Creed when I'm losing weight, but when I'm bulking up, the metallic note gets so strong that it becomes almost unwearable for me
I’m so happy you are shining some light on Genre Parfums. They are my favorite house right now. I love so many of their offerings. My absolute favorite is an og called Jane. I’m so in love with this fragrance. They have so many that are loves for me, though . I tell all of my friends about Genre. The quality, pricing and the customer service is chefs kiss for me!! Have you tried their dupe for Mason Matha Escapad Gourmand called Mello Vanillo? Oooh it’s sweet and spicy 😍 I just want to live my fragrances and I have so many in my collection that are just like. I am a blind buy type of person so I’ve ended up some duds for sure. You had some really interesting ones here that you’re get rid d of.
I really shokedddddddddddd 😮when I saw you decluttered La Capital and Dolce Amalfi !!!!!!! I discovered your channel when I looked for best of xerjoff house, and I went to Neiman Marcus to test La Capital based on your reaction in that video about it , I really really liked it alot and found it so so sexy, and definitely will get a full bottle, I wanna get Dolce amalfi too because I like how you described it, tell me please that not usual and I will not hate them after 4 months of purchase them 😂😂
I am going to try to go into this next week with your “you do you, but I’m going to do me” vibe bc I need more of that in my life Also totally get what you mean about taste evolving! I fall in and out of love with fragrances sometimes just like I do with food and clothing and music
My teen did that to me. I bought Herod Parfums de marly and I was in love. She said I don't like it, it smells like a grandma's potpourri, after that I could not even try to wear it. I might give it to my son and see if he likes it
Curious to know what you do with the ones you declutter. And honestly as people we are allowed to grow and change so why would be want to have scents we don't absolutely love in our stash? I think you nailed why I don't like milk its the freaking tonka/sandalwood vibe I think. I wish I got marshmallows. But not mad I will finish my sample as its a learning process for me. I am trying out all my samples lately and so many have been nice but not worth it for me or surprising but its keeping me honest. I don't want to not want to reach for something if that makes sense.
You explained La Capitale so well! I get the exact same feeling with it! I was so excited to receive it after hearing so many compliments about this perfume, I was mostly excited about the strawberry note and how delicious the notes sounded together. And then I wore it and it was just completely overwhelming that i couldn't wait to get home and rid myself of it. I tested it on a paper strip too and it smelled so good days after lol
I tried God of fire & it was a like but not a love. I think there's an oud note in the mid that's not working on my skin. However, I tried a sample of Mango kiss & it blew me away...until I saw the $300 price for a 50 mil which made cringe. I'll eventually get a bottle of MK but I got to save up, too many things on my to buy list
Hi Anne, glad that I watch this vid before I ordered Navitus’ Soir Exclusif. It was you who previously sold me to putting this on my wish list. Can you please recommend to me 2 Navitus that you still love to this day.
of course! I still think Soir Exclusif is an excellent fragrance, it's more of a personal preference when it comes to almond scents :) My top 2 Navitus fragrances are Ambrosia Imperiale and Venom of Love
Anne! You shouldn't have to explain and certainly not apoligize to other people's opinions on your own collection! You are my favorite and most in -line with my very picky fragrence types. I just got my first "Big girl bottle 3.3 oz" of Ylang in Gold" yesterday based on your magical fairy/princess video and Ive got a big list 😅✨️ My next bottle (and this one has grown on me slowly 😂) Bal D Afrique! Also need Rosendo Mateau No 5 and G Water but I'm on the fence which Byredo to buy 😢 I absolutely love buying travel sprays. It gives me about a month or so to really get a good grasp on if I need it FBW ❤ LOVE YOUR Videos!!! p.s. I think all Jo Malone smell cheap to me. I don't get the hype 🤷♀️ And although im only about 3 minute's in the video..Im wondering do you sell your declutter perfumes?! I re-sell mine on Mercari or Poshmark. I only wish there was a perfume swap website!! P.S. You mention buying samples.. have you ever tried a perfume subscription box?? I think about 1/3 of an ounce is really truly enough for most perfumes. I may wesr it for a few weeks and be over it! I wish someone would do a recommendation video on what to try on these subscription boxes (hint hint video please 😂) I have used Scentbix, PURPLUX, Fragrencenet and want to try Royalty Scents.
I totally get it! My son told me that Atomic Rose smelled like bug spray! Same with Delina. Now I can’t unsmell it! I have to be sor careful with rose fragrances now. Bummer. ❤️🇨🇦
People are ridiculous. I too like a curated collection. I keep my collection at 35 and only own what I can’t live without. I tend to prefer niche scents so it also keeps me from overspending . Just keep doing you!
Great video!! Nobody should get offended, they’re just parfumés and we really change in terms of liking a parfum. I loved and wore few last year and now …..🥶 no more , something changed and I do not feel good to wear them
I totally get it what you mean when people talk about what a perfume smells like, and I could potentially spoil it for you, I try as much as possible to turn a blind ear to comparisons on my favorite fragrances cause I don’t wanna mess them up 😂
I love perfumes !! But at 35 y I finally found what I really like I do have like 50 perfumes however I did removed all the oud perfumes I have only one from Jo Malone because it’s soft and powdery ! I don’t like heavy perfumes anymore I want my scent to be personal I don’t need the whole city to smell me.
The exact same thing happened to me with Dolce Amalfi. I sold it. And never could get past a specific scent in Milk-something smelled off on me. with La Capitale-I like it, but I kept having hesitancy, so I ended up not buying a bottle and then discovered Mula Mula, which I like much better. Similar. Have you tried it?
This made me laugh so much! I am only 5 minutes in and I completely get you!! I’ve had many situations in terms of associating fragrances to a smell and then next thing you know…. It’s all I can smell. Had many fallen angels due to this! 😂
Love this video. Once I read a few reviews of fragrances I enjoyed that included “cola” or smells like flat coke… I had to sell them. It’s real hard to unknow this stuff!
hope this doesn't sound weird, but I love your blush! you look so pretty I live with my dad, any time I ask him how I smell he tells me that I smell "like talc". no matter what the fragrance is 😭
girllll!!! i bought dolce amalfi in a moment of nationalism when i saw that its perfumer is bulgarian. "gum" is what i got, immediately. it's hard to wear, i agree.
Hi Anne. Another winning video. Just out of interest, how long did you have the Meleg Mushin Incense before your perception of the fragrance changed? I have the 10pc sampler set, all of which I loved, but I think now I should revisit them after 18 months of ownership and see how they hit me after this time.
Your intro was hilarious - people be getting up in arms about every little thing 😂 would love to hear how you’re liking Tangerine Boy. I loved it on a tester but debated if it’s too simple or linear.
I'm still really enjoying it! It is a more simple scent, and it won't be a love for everyone, but I like it! It's so refreshing, zesty, and I love the touch of edge that it has from ginger 😊 A good easy reach option for hot days imo! I would get the travel size and see what you think :)
Omg I’m so inspired to declutter! I have perfumes that I like but don’t love and I really don’t reach for them. I feel like others could appreciate them more ❤
I get a strong musk note that can sometimes be overpowering. Some days it works and some days it’s too much. I have a 8ml decant and feel that that is enough for me.
Same here, that damn association. Two of which I still like, but the references are clear in my head and nose. They are Black Tier Roja as Urinal cake and Amouage Material as olive brine. For the life of me I can’t un-smell it. 😂😢
I heard someone say a cedar forward fragrance reminded them of hamster bedding and I can't unsmell it. I used to really like cedar, but now cedar dominant reminds me of changing my guinea pigs cage as a kid and I'm so mad. I don't know if my husband has a busted nose, but he says a LOT of fragrances smell like his mom, and I usually disagree. But he said it about Cocoa Woods from Nest, and after he said that I couldn't unsmell it and its so annoying. Things that I noticed myself and then couldn't stop smelling it: Oriana and Love Don't Be Shy smell like fresh corn chips from a restaurant. Lune Feline smells like Carmex or the medicated diaper balm we used on my little brother when I was a kid. Spiritueuse Double Vanille smells like a cheapie I got from Rue21 or somewhere as a preteen, so it's nostalgic but smells young and inexpensive to me, which I know it very much isn't.
Milk by Commodity….hear me out, it gives me the sensation right after a sneeze, or when you’ve exhaled too quickly after drinking soda. It tickles my nose terribly!
What does animalic mean? Like is there a fragrance that is very animalic I could try to see what that’s like? What notes does that come from? Is it musk? There’s a few fragrances I own that have a pungent tang. I can’t figure out where it comes from!
Animalics include: castoreum, ambergris, Civet and deer musk, honey. Pungent scents could be herbaceous as well. I adore subtle animalic notes in my vintage inspired fragrances...
It can mean that there is a barnyard or dirty quality to the scent. Some fragrances that come off animalic to me are Xerjoff Indochine, Commodity Leather, Chanel Coromandel, & Louis Vuitton Nouveau Monde
Omgosh this was very informative! And now I’m feeling a bit stupid for ordering a backup bottle of something I love for fear I’ll come to it, and it will have changed?! Yikes, did I make a massive newbie mistake?? 😂
Awe no, don't feel stupid! Most of the time I don't have this issue, it's only very occasionally that I feel like a fragrance will change quite noticeably when it macerates. You should be good :) For the most part, the juice tends to just perform a bit better, maybe the scent gets a touch deeper. For future backup purchases, I would wait about 6 months of owning the scent before deciding for a backup, just to be sure :)
Love this! Decluttering is so cathartic. I don’t ever wanna feel stuck with something that I don’t like anymore. Oh yeah, I was trying to describe to my bf the notes of my new perfume and then he told me it smelled like toothpaste🥹 I can’t unsmell it now
Ok as long as you don’t declutter AnOther 13, I’m good LOL! But in all seriousness tho. I’m currently going through a decant of La Capitale and it’s still a very big ‘love’ for me! That fruity strawberry & peach combo, which gets quickly overtaken by the leather, amber & ginger is just DIVINE to me! So grown up, but so fun at the same time!
Commodity was super overhyped. None of them work on their own including milk. It’s too milky on its own. La capitale is a super love for me, and one thing I like about it is it is clearly not for everyone. It reads completely different to me than to you. Wood sage and sea salt is nice too but I’m not sure how much I would wear it either. IMO the more you are exposed to new scents the more understanding it is that you fall more in love with something new and leave behind some scents. It happens to me too and I’m just regular. 😂
Awe I'm sorry to hear Commodity didn't work out for you. I do love my Book and Gold I'm glad La Capitale was such a hit for you! It's a stunning unique scent And I agree! The more fragrances we're introduced to, certain scents are going to really stand out amongst the rest.
I could not agree more on Dolce A- I took it a step further and described it as licorice bubblegum. It was an instant no for that reason. I love how cutthroat you are with YOUR collection btw 🖤
It’s funny people give you crap for decluttering. I’m constantly curating my collection and if something I loved doesn’t feel like me anymore then it’s out. 2023 I’m getting my decant life on. If I don’t get through a 10 ml I don’t need the full bottle.
hahaha the first fragrance you mentioned here how your boyfriend smells like kitchen spices with a celery undertone i must be the only one who likes celery smell. i actually get a celery undertone from Velvet Chocolate and my husband says it smells like a kitchen sink sewer lol i dont even listen to him anymore! I also have had the problem with fragrances changing when they mascerate. i havent liked an apple note since the beginning maybe i am picky with what a buy but i to have been decluttering. i decluttered my Deep n desire yacht today because it is too fruity for me. i ended up buying la capitale last year because of your review! it was so good i never buy fragrances anymore based on influencers reviews but you we very convincing! lovely video. i also didnt like commodity milk it smelled like cleaning supplies and milk on me
I'm so excited to watch this! Thank you so much big kiss! Oh my God one minute in and I have to re comment good on you honest-to-god good on you this is why I love you so much!
Thanks for keeping it real! Perfumes are like people-good for a reason, a season or (very few) a lifetime! I check in periodically with my collection to see if each fragrance is worthy and decluttered a bunch.

Thank you! Absolutely! Everyone's collection should be personal, it doesn't have to match the preferences of someone online
I don't get it either. It seems that some people think UA-camrs and other influencers are never allowed to change their mind about anything... if they said they loved something, they have to love it forever. 🤦♀

Thank you so much Cindy!!
I'm so with you. If it's not an absolute love, right now, it's out. I don't want stuff sitting there just for the sake of it
Wood sage and sea is one of those smells I’d like to smell at a spa or yoga/pilates studio, but not necessarily on myself 😄🙈
I would love a "how" to declutter your collection video! Especially great sites/ resources to re-sell.
Decluttering an amazing perfume that doesn't feel like you is totally a valid reason to declutter. I too am only keeping fragrances that I absolutely adore, sampling more, and blind-buying less.
You are absolutely right! I decluttered Dior Addict. It was years ago, so closer to original release. It just overpowered me. It wore me.

I’m definitely a fan of Anne, keep doing what you’re doing.
Thank you so much!! 🙏🏼

This is the video that made me subscribe! The "I'm gonna do me" bit just WOW. Love the reviews, the tone, and the personality!😊
I 100% agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ALL of the fragrances I own, I absolutely LOVE and no matter what I grab to wear I am extremely excited!!!!!! LOVES ONLY! xo
That's the best kind of collection to have!

Great video. Sad when a frag I loved becomes one not worth owning but it happens. Thanks for sharing!
where did you get your jacket in this video? it's so cute and the color looks so good on you!
I am going to try to go into this next week with your “you do you, but I’m going to do me” vibe bc I need more of that in my life
Also totally get what you mean about taste evolving! I fall in and out of love with fragrances sometimes just like I do with food and clothing and music
exactly! ❤️
My first impression of Dolce Amalfi was that it smelled like Juicy Fruit gum, but I still love it! Great lasting power too.
Xerjoff performance is insane!
My teen did that to me. I bought Herod Parfums de marly and I was in love. She said I don't like it, it smells like a grandma's potpourri, after that I could not even try to wear it. I might give it to my son and see if he likes it
Nooooo the disrespect 😂😂 Luckily I don't get that and that one can't be ruined for me, that's my #1 love!
Hey Anne ☺️ what are you doing with these perfumes? Do you sell? Or do you gift them?
For some reason declutter videos is where I feel more trust towards the person doing them
Curious to know what you do with the ones you declutter. And honestly as people we are allowed to grow and change so why would be want to have scents we don't absolutely love in our stash? I will either give them to family, friends, or sell them :) & totally makes sense! I feel the same way with the majority of scents I sample.
You explained La Capitale so well! I get the exact same feeling with it! And then I wore it and it was just completely overwhelming that i couldn't wait to get home and rid myself of it. I tested it on a paper strip too and it smelled so good days after lol
It lasts very well!
Are you selling them anywhere?
I only keep fragrances i use & love, & give away to family or friends the fragrances i don't use anymore, or won't replenish when it's done
You tube randomly suggested this video and i must say, love your personality!
thank you!
@@AnneLauren Thank You for the reply. Will put Ambrosia in my “To Buy” list, again, thanks.
@@blaiseroa7727 you can find samples on Mercari and Etsy if you want to try it first!
Bummer. ❤️🇨🇦
aww noo! Luckily I don't get that with those two 😝
I actually love dolce amalfi and that it smells like juicy fruit with the contrasting spices. Maybe people just smelled the opening 😆
People are ridiculous. I too like a curated collection. I keep my collection at 35 and only own what I can’t live without. I tend to prefer niche scents so it also keeps me from overspending .
Just keep doing you!
Thank you! That's a great size!
Do you have a Mercari ?
I don't like the tonka note in Milk either, and its even more dominant in Milk+. And I usually love tonka
Lauren Mae fragrance said Memoirs of a Trespasser smells like cooked potato skin, I cannot un smell it now
oh man 😅
Great video!! Nobody should get offended, they’re just parfumés and we really change in terms of liking a parfum. I loved and wore few last year and now …..🥶 no more , something changed and I do not feel good to wear them
thank you Autumn!
Thank you for this video - especially the opening. You do you 🙂Are you selling the fragrances you are parting with somewhere? - link, please 🙂
I totally get it what you mean when people talk about what a perfume smells like, and I could potentially spoil it for you, I try as much as possible to turn a blind ear to comparisons on my favorite fragrances cause I don’t wanna mess them up 😂
ahh it killsss me!!
Have you smelled the re formulated sol de Janeiro cheirosa 62? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the old version vs the new.
Oh I didn't know they reformulated! My bottle was from a year ago, I'm not sure which version that would be
The exact same thing happened to me with Dolce Amalfi. I sold it. And never could get past a specific scent in Milk-something smelled off on me. with La Capitale-I like it, but I kept having hesitancy, so I ended up not buying a bottle and then discovered Mula Mula, which I like much better. Similar. Have you tried it?
I have! It was a big like for me, but not quite full bottle worthy for what I'm personally looking for :)
This made me laugh so much! I am only 5 minutes in and I completely get you!! I’ve had many situations in terms of associating fragrances to a smell and then next thing you know…. It’s all I can smell. Had many fallen angels due to this! 😂
Ah it’s awful! 😂😂
Love this video. Once I read a few reviews of fragrances I enjoyed that included “cola” or smells like flat coke… I had to sell them. It’s real hard to unknow this stuff!
really though!
Hiii! Love these types of videos. Are you selling these on third party sites?
I give all my perfumes that are a bit too immature for me to my daughter. She loves them!!❤❤❤
Awe that's perfect! I love to gift some to my younger sisters 😊
hope this doesn't sound weird, but I love your blush! you look so pretty
I live with my dad, any time I ask him how I smell he tells me that I smell "like talc". no matter what the fragrance is 😭
Why are men like this 😩
The question is does talc smell good? Hahahah
OMIGOSH, mine too, but he usually says gasoline... But he doesn't like "smelly/stinky stuff"
not weird at all! Thank you! ❤️
Omg nooo 😅
I also think Milk smells like almond- I was looking so forward to smelling it and was confused when I did. Lovely, but not for me either 🙂
girllll!!! i bought dolce amalfi in a moment of nationalism when i saw that its perfumer is bulgarian.
It was about 8 months later!
@@AnneLauren I have the travel spray in my Sephora cart! Will definitely give it a try. Thanks Anne 💕
I hear you on this!
I'm all here for a capsule fragrance collection ❤️❤️❤️
lol the gummy part is why I love and purchased Dolce Amalfi - we are opposites in this regard
Omg I’m so inspired to declutter! I have perfumes that I like but don’t love and I really don’t reach for them. I feel like others could appreciate them more ❤
Yess! It's refreshing honestly
I would agree La Capital is not what you expect. I used to like it and now my nose picks up a cherry cough syrup vibe. I let that one go too 😞
oh interesting!
Milk gave me a headache, I guess too much of that Iso E Super..
What are you going to do with them: i would love to have your la capitale please
Eric, you did NOT do that to my beloved Memoirs of a Trespasser! 😭
😩😩😩
Same! That scent is ME in a bottle. The audacity!
I’m not a fan of Commodity Milk. I got too much of a weird licorice vibe from it.
I get a strong musk note that can sometimes be overpowering. Some days it works and some days it’s too much. I have a 8ml decant and feel that that is enough for me.
It was so synthetic and cloying. It was a "hell no" almost immediately, sadly.
Oh interesting!
@@breannacarels6479 I have an 8 mL decant as well. I was so disappointed that I didn’t like it since it seemed that most people rave about it.
@@theprousteffect9717 I agree!
Same here, that damn association. Two of which I still like, but the references are clear in my head and nose. They are Black Tier Roja as Urinal cake and Amouage Material as olive brine. For the life of me I can’t un-smell it. 😂😢
noooo 😩😅
I heard someone say a cedar forward fragrance reminded them of hamster bedding and I can't unsmell it. I used to really like cedar, but now cedar dominant reminds me of changing my guinea pigs cage as a kid and I'm so mad. I don't know if my husband has a busted nose, but he says a LOT of fragrances smell like his mom, and I usually disagree. But he said it about Cocoa Woods from Nest, and after he said that I couldn't unsmell it and its so annoying.
Things that I noticed myself and then couldn't stop smelling it:
Oriana and Love Don't Be Shy smell like fresh corn chips from a restaurant.
Oh no! Hamster cage smell. 😝
The mom comment! 😅 Awe man. I love cedar but I've heard others say they feel the same ☹️
Are you going to declutter EBK Deep n desire?
Nooo that is one of my top favorites!
I wonder what you’d think about Henry Rose Dark is Night. 🤔
We seem to have similarities in our noses…not exact but some overlap. Have you tried it?
I have! I think it smells good but unfortunately sweet, creamy vanillas with dark, heavy notes (that patchouli) annoy me 😬
@@AnneLauren 😂👍🏻 fair enough. I live in a colder climate too.
Celery undertone 😂 I’m sorry but I couldn’t help but laugh way too loud out in public once I heard that
Omg!! 😂
Milk by Commodity….hear me out, it gives me the sensation right after a sneeze, or when you’ve exhaled too quickly after drinking soda. It tickles my nose terribly!
omg 😅
What does animalic mean? Like is there a fragrance that is very animalic I could try to see what that’s like? What notes does that come from? Is it musk? There’s a few fragrances I own that have a pungent tang. I can’t figure out where it comes from!
Animalics include: castoreum, ambergris, Civet and deer musk, honey. Pungent scents could be herbaceous as well. I adore subtle animalic notes in my vintage inspired fragrances...
Ouds and some woods can also be animalic...
It can mean that there is a barnyard or dirty quality to the scent. Some fragrances that come off animalic to me are Xerjoff Indochine, Commodity Leather, Chanel Coromandel, & Louis Vuitton Nouveau Monde
I think of it as a very slight hint of sweaty ferret 😂
@@AnneLauren thank you so much!
You're so honest. I dig it
I appreciate you!
Love this! Decluttering is so cathartic. I don’t ever wanna feel stuck with something that I don’t like anymore. Oh yeah, I was trying to describe to my bf the notes of my new perfume and then he told me it smelled like toothpaste🥹 I can’t unsmell it now
It is!! Aw nooo 😩
I feel the same way with Apple notes. Kayali Eden smells bright and fruity and good, but I don't want to smell like it. Not for me.
So grown up, but so fun at the same time!
oh no, never!! I'm ride or die for Another 13 😉 And La Capitale is great! I agree, grown up fruity!
I hope you can put time stamps on your future vids 😊😊😊
Commodity was super overhyped. None of them work on their own including milk. It’s too milky on its own.
La capitale is a super love for me, and one thing I like about it is it is clearly not for everyone. It reads completely different to me than to you.
Wood sage and sea salt is nice too but I’m not sure how much I would wear it either.
IMO the more you are exposed to new scents the more understanding it is that you fall more in love with something new and leave behind some scents. It happens to me too and I’m just regular. 😂
Awe I'm sorry to hear Commodity didn't work out for you. I do love my Book and Gold
I'm glad La Capitale was such a hit for you! It's a stunning unique scent
And I agree! The more fragrances we're introduced to, certain scents are going to really stand out amongst the rest.
run for president you have my vote
I could not agree more on Dolce A- I took it a step further and described it as licorice bubblegum. It was an instant no for that reason. I love how cutthroat you are with YOUR collection btw 🖤
Thank you! 😉
Thankyou 🌺
Do you still like Book by commodity? 🌸
love it! 🥰
It’s funny people give you crap for decluttering. I’m constantly curating my collection and if something I loved doesn’t feel like me anymore then it’s out. 2023 I’m getting my decant life on. If I don’t get through a 10 ml I don’t need the full bottle.
Yesssss decants are where it’s at, I do the same.
I'm like let me have my perfect collection thank you 😅
omg la capitale!!! I could never hahaha
hahaha the first fragrance you mentioned here how your boyfriend smells like kitchen spices with a celery undertone i must be the only one who likes celery smell. i actually get a celery undertone from Velvet Chocolate and my husband says it smells like a kitchen sink sewer lol i dont even listen to him anymore! I also have had the problem with fragrances changing when they mascerate. i havent
liked an apple note since the beginning maybe i am picky with what a buy but i to have been decluttering. i decluttered my Deep n desire yacht today because it is too fruity for me. i ended up buying la capitale last year because of your review! it was so good i never buy fragrances anymore based on influencers reviews but you we very convincing! lovely video. i also didnt like commodity milk it smelled like cleaning supplies and milk on me
I'm glad you're enjoying La Capitale!
Not Dolce Amalfi! I’m sad to see him go 😢
He's a gem 🥹
Haha my sons ruin scents for me all of the time!
aw man 😩😅
I'm so excited to watch this! Thank you so much big kiss! Oh my God one minute in and I have to re comment good on you honest-to-god good on you this is why I love you so much!
Awe thank you Linda! ❤️
Do you sell any fragrances that you’ve Decluttered?
You’re hilarious! Loved this video ❤️
thank you!❤️
