Not sure how it all happened 10 years later now, but in 2013 my appendix burst and developed sepsis and I died for four minutes in the ER. Not sure if it was the natural release of DMT at the end of life, but I went from hating my job to passing out in my cubicle and dying, to quitting my job and having a whole new outlook now. In those four minutes I flew around the world and felt what it was like to be a cloud, a raindrop, a blade of grass, a leaf, and animal, other people, and even the wind itself, all at once, simultaneously. It “told” me “it’s all one” and “you belong here.” I was never one for remembering dreams, but ten years later I still remember that experience down to the second. It was like a memory of a lesson I hadn’t learn yet. It’s amazing to think I have no idea where the experience came from, but the message couldn’t not have been more direct and true. It’s all one- just be good. You’re a part of it.
I think I died in my sleep but I don’t know obviously . I had what was either a dream or the afterlife . I think it was the latter . I all of sudden was looking down at the earth and in a matter of seconds I was flying out of the solar system and I saw all the planets and was moving away from the planets at such a high speed that I was at other stars and planets. It felt too real as if when I woke up that was dreaming and not where I just came from.

I’m a recovering drug addict. I was a functional user. I could blend in enough to hold down jobs for a year or so. I would do coke and speed on the weekends. I had a 3-4 month meth binge once. And then when I got my wisdom teeth pulled at age 29… I found the secret to life. Painkillers gave me energy, made me happy, and motivated me. And that went away soon and i was just left with a massive pill addiction. My point is that I’ve been clean off everything NOT prescribed to me. But I’ve been searching for answers and happiness. And I simply HAVE NOT found it. I’ve always struggled with death. Mainly bc Ive always questioned the existence of God and an afterlife. And this seems like it could help. I really wish Joe Rogen could hear my comment and someone could help me. I’m just beat down with my 8-5. No family to come home to. Barely see my kids. I guess this is it. This is it. If you go to a very quiet room, control your breathing and actually meditate. You can have a spiritual experience. Like, how Joe talked about doing the “floating” experiences. Those are ideal for spiritual experiences. You are dialed in to your thoughts and body. We are often distracted in the grind of life. If you sit down and really take the time to calm down and breathe. It is so beneficial to your health and well being.

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. This mental health treatment works for me too. Half micro doses do the trick for me. At least a few days at a time with lengthy time in between. Never addictive. Thank you for sharing this point!

As I lay on the floor, surrounded by pillows and blankets, I closed my eyes and waited for the DMT to take effect. It was my first time trying the powerful psychedelic drug, and I was a little nervous. At first, I didn't feel much of anything. I lay there, waiting, my mind racing with thoughts and fears. But then, suddenly, I was hit with a wave of euphoria and wonder. The world around me seemed to melt away, replaced by an otherworldly landscape filled with bright colors and geometric patterns. I felt myself being pulled into the center of this kaleidoscope, as if I were being sucked into a vortex. The sensation was both exhilarating and terrifying, and I couldn't help but feel like I was being shown a glimpse of something beyond my understanding. As I soared through the psychedelic landscape, I felt a deep sense of connection to the universe. I was filled with a sense of love and unity, as if I were a part of something much greater than myself.

it's crazy when he was talking about the shared psychedelic experience he had the first time he smoked marijuana. i had a strangely very similar experience, hash and everything. in my instance a friend of mine and i saw something at the exact same moment in time that isn't even possible in real life. it made us both throw our hands in the air, turn our heads to the side, and reel backwards in the same moment, like a reflex or gut reaction. what we saw was the traffic lights and wires that were down the street ahead of us stretch and shoot forward towards our faces. it was one of the strangest things i've experienced. immediately after it happened we both looked at each other and said you saw that? and we both knew the answer. we kind of just sat there dumbfounded for a bit and later talked about it and confirmed we both saw the same thing in that moment
So interesting, as if like another dimension/universe was being experienced for a moment and then the brain processes/logic brought you back to our reality.

What I don't understand about DMT is how people can trip at the same time and have the same trip or I've heard people say they've tripped at different times but they saw the same entity without ever being told what that entity looks like. At this point I think its cooler to just believe it's a gateway to something greater than us rather than some drug with crazy visuals
The creativity thing he's talking about where the brain is an antenna - while I believe that is somewhat true - there is a spirit world and that influences your mind and heart - I do think a good answer to it besides that is: The individual is accessing the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is perhaps far more richer/ full of information collected and processed over the course of ones life, so much so that the conscious mind is actually limited in comparison. So when they say they just "get themselves out the way", perhaps what is happening is they are no longer using their conscious mind to create something, but instead choose to access and allow the subconscious mind to flow through with all the information they did not know they harboured within themselves, which converts into such creativity.
a bit like dreams, dmt feels different tho. it makes sense, certainly related with brain waves. i think the point is whether different brain "modes" unlock a deeper consciousness or unlock the capability of perceiving different states of reality

I believe Christianity was injected into humanity via Jesus 2000 years ago because that’s what human beings needed to guide them at that time in our history. Psychedelic mushrooms are truly remarkable. A few years ago, I was struggling with severe depression, mental health issues, and was diagnosed with BPD. Honestly I've tried the toad once to figure out why I'm not a better son to my parents. Was going through a lot mentally, But that was my mission. As the shaman told me to inhale I was instructed to think about what it is I wanted to figure out. As I inhaled it hit me but still wasn't enough so I had to take another hit. The second hit got me and I literally went into a beautiful place full of colorful patterns and shapes. Then I began to think of why I wasn't a better son to my parents. As I was thinking, a voice told me 2 words. You're blessed! Over and over again. I began to cry because it was such a simple answer but it made so much sense in that moment. Idk how to explain it but it was such a beautiful experience. My journey almost turned into a bad experience because you do start to feel guilty. But the shamans are their with you step by step. I couldn't see her but she hugged me and swiped my body with a bundle of bird feathers and which took away the negative energy. At that point I was still on my journey I began to think of the one thing I hope when we pass away that were able to fly through the stars and see the universe. At that moment my body literally left Earth and I was with the stars. I told the shaman "this is so beautiful. I finally understand". That's when I started to come back to earth. It took about 20-30 minutes but it felt a lot shorter then that. I recommend for anyone with certain questions that you havent gotten the answers to try it. I promise you if you find a good shaman it will open your eyes, heart, mind and spirit. Stay blessed everyone and much love and respect!!!

The one time I died briefly it was the best experience of my life. I haven't experienced that level of peace, calm, and understanding since. I was only 3 or 4 years old but it made a huge impression on me. I didn't see a portal or anything I was just floating above my body, rising upward, looking at my mom holding me and pleading with me and god to wake up. I then heard a voice say, "Not yet." I next shot back in my body and woke up looking up at my mom then I passed out. Edit: my dad collaborated some of the details about it and I still have an injury from it. I was electrocuted on my left hand and the tendons were messed up I can't make a few hand gestures due to this.
I did DMT also quite a lot, but i especially remember 2 or 3 times of them, because for some reason they were special incredible. This is awesome ! great to see Rick and Joe talking about DMT !! I was fortunate to have had 1 amazing DMT trip. That when explaining to one of my friends my own DMT experience he was able to further integrate his own near death experience , that had many of the similar characteristics of my own dmt trip. I would like to briefly explain my experience here. Sitting in a natural grass and rock natural farm environment late summer. Just after watching sunset sitting in amongst beautiful rocks up above a major river. As I started to smoke it, extreme clarity and high pitch sound, some smoke came off to the side from my pipe and these little spirits in the smoke said to me , ''your good at this " Then I had another massive hit. I had some nice psy-dub music playing from my cell phone in the background. It was amazing how the trip started syncing perfectly with the music, this was an incredible feeling to be conscious of how it knew my music and as my eyes closed . Then blast off ! wow straight up and at a faster speed than any man made rocket. Then I reached this place, amazing far away place. I remember I was still ascending but at a slower rate now There was 2 or 3 super massive entities that looked like the OM symbol in Sanskrit or something very similar. Then I felt like I was a tiny cell going up the inside of a massive tree I was still ascending and as ascending up this massive tree I could feel these entities looking at me or sending healing energy and so on. Then this amazing warm light and energy started enveloping my entire body, at the time I also never wanted to lose that feeling. After some time, It actually felt like I made it to the very top or close to the top of this huge tree. I will never forget this feeling similar to that warmth of the winter sun on your back but this covered my entire body. My body felt completely brand new again floating in pure energy, pure light , pure love. After some time the experience faded and awoke after about an hour , the moon was in the sky with massive rainbow cords that looked a little like a giants spider web, then that faded and back to normal. I think my trip was only 10-15 minutes, but I probably had a 45 minutes nap snooze because I was super comfortable. I would love to go back for bit more exploration so to speak. I came up with a DMT theory around 30 years ago while on a DMT trip that altered my sense of time. I realized that the common house fly isn't moving that fast, but to it we are moving that slow. Do to every living thing creating DMT in it's body the amount of DMT controls the perception of time. By slightly increasing the amount of DMT in the Human body it is shown to lower time perception, but increase reaction time.

Better yet we are conscious because we are capable of generating future thoughts and past thoughts our brain is a Time Machine it’s self not in a literally sense but in a logical sense. I mean just imagine the state of your consciousness if you could not think of the future I.e tomorrow or the past. Imagine not being able to predict what tomorrow is going to be like. You would quite literally be no different from an animal. That is what separates us, it’s what allows us to dig deeper into ourselves and look ahead. Honestly it’s quite possible psychedelics played a role in the development of the human brain during our early stages. This is a perception that allows our brains to digest information. Scientifically speaking in a literal since their is no linear scale of time, the linear pathway is a logical way to measure events but is no means the actual pathway of time it’s self. Time it’s self is a constant, it’s the rate of particles over an area. Different areas and places in the universe as well as many variables will affect this rate meaning time is not locked together but is individual rates of a constant over a field of an area.
If reality is everything we experience, then hallucinations and altered states of consciousness are part of that reality and not outside of / beyond it!
While I've never experienced DMT, I've extensive use with LSD in extremely personable environments that would promote the highest level of self reflection and introspection. I am a firm believer in sobriety being the most pure form of intoxication required to reflect upon something as spiritual as an LSD or DMT trip could be. Ultimately, the experience isn't forgotten in one's lifetime. Psychedelic use is not something I could imagine someone would benefit from regular usage. Be smart, be sober, experience a trip and discontinue when you have experienced it enough to satisfy your soul. I think tripping changes your reality, as many people will reiterate but when your reality doesn't run adjacent to the reality of the cosmos you will experience severe detachment and mental health disorders, possibly the reason why drugs can 'unlock' schizophrenia because the individuals sense of reality has been permanently altered. Every instance you trip, you change. There is no way to revert to yourself to who you were prior.

The more you do it, the less special and sacred the experience becomes, the less you learn and the less you discover. It's a paradox. That's why your first trip is usually the most profound even on a low dose, because you've never experienced anything like it before. When I say tripping changes you, I mean it in the sense that after such a spiritual and awakening experience you couldn't possibly be the same afterwards and that is true for all grand experiences in life. Every experience you encounter in life changes you in one way or another, it's up to your perceptions to decide if that change is positive or negative. I think you'll find that a low dose of a psychedelic is more beneficial in the right setting than a higher dose in the wrong setting so therefore don't allow your ego to convince you that you have to take more. Less can often be more. True to the saying. If you could be alone in a safe environment you can be free of judgement, unexpected danger, unwanted interruption and one that you can change or adapt as your trip progresses, you'll find that to be the BEST setting, whatever it may be. That particular setting for me is my room, or a beautiful green field where no people will see me.

A young person who suffers brain damage, such as in impact from a sporting injury for example, will have a higher chance to adapt and overcome said injury because of the brains plasticity. While substances can be beneficial, ultimately one can only stretch the rubber band of the mind before the brain can no longer return to normal under its own tension. A sober life is the true means of happiness, a sober mind does not deceive nor does it lie. If you're sober and healthy, your reality is true. I have learned what I speak of through the use of LSD, so I'm being hypocritical but I feel I've nothing more to learn from psychedelics.

Dmt causes time dilation in your mind. You get the illusion that you're becoming one with everything and then "break through". But in actuality, you're always one with everything. Separation and individuality are an illusion of your senses. Not sure how it all happened 10 years later now, but in 2013 my appendix burst and developed sepsis and I died for four minutes in the ER. Not sure if it was the natural release of DMT at the end of life, but I went from hating my job to passing out in my cubicle and dying, to quitting my job and having a whole new outlook now. In those four minutes I flew around the world and felt what it was like to be a cloud, a raindrop, a blade of grass, a leaf, and animal, other people, and even the wind itself, all at once, simultaneously. It “told” me “it’s all one” and “you belong here.”
I was never one for remembering dreams, but ten years later I still remember that experience down to the second. It was like a memory of a lesson I hadn’t learn yet.
It’s amazing to think I have no idea where the experience came from, but the message couldn’t not have been more direct and true. It’s all one- just be good. You’re a part of it.

I think I died in my sleep but I don’t know obviously . I had what was either a dream or the afterlife . I think it was the latter . I all of sudden was looking down at the earth and in a matter of seconds I was flying out of the solar system and I saw all the planets and was moving away from the planets at such a high speed that I was at other stars and planets. It felt too real as if when I woke up that was dreaming and not where I just came from.

I’m a recovering drug addict. I was a functional user. I could blend in enough to hold down jobs for a year or so. I would do coke and speed on the weekends. I had a 3-4 month meth binge once. And then when I got my wisdom teeth pulled at age 29… I found the secret to life. Painkillers gave me energy, made me happy, and motivated me. And that went away soon and i was just left with a massive pill addiction. My point is that I’ve been clean off everything NOT prescribed to me. But I’ve been searching for answers and happiness. I took a hit of DMT and suddenly, everything around me began to warp and shift. Colors blended together in a swirling vortex until I found myself transported to a new dimension.

3 days later I was with my mum and we were talking about our family and I was asking if any of my older family members had caught or been effected by c v..... at first she said no.... then after a short pause she said her cousin..... with the same name I had heard/felt/experienced 3 days before had been in a coma for 4 days with pneumonia and died the day after my experience......... I was gobsmacked and instantly began to feel an incredibly sadness this was one of the most profound experiences of my life......... I had only ever met the man a few times and never really seen him or his family in my day to day life or on social media as I only use this......... there had been no mention from anyone or way of me knowing about his predicament in the weeks prior.
I was a hard-core atheist before this....... now I have a new found sense of........ enlightenment amazement, fascination and desire to discover the world to which is there but we cannot see or experience, not in our normal state anyway.

If you go to a very quiet room, control your breathing and actually meditate. You can have a spiritual experience. Like, how Joe talked about doing the “floating” experiences. Those are ideal for spiritual experiences. You are dialed in to your thoughts and body. We are often distracted in the grind of life. If you sit down and really take the time to calm down and breathe. It is so beneficial to your health and well being.

Mushrooms are very medicinal. This is why anybody familiar with psilocybin and any other kind of fungi will tell you, "They are alive." They have a very ancient wisdom. To my experience, all mushrooms have always said, "Pay attention to your life. How you think, how you feel, and what will you do with the information that you always knew, but now are seeing in this point of view." This is why mushrooms are so respected in tribal cultures. After a couple DMT trips I also was puzzled by what is 'truly real'. As it does reveal a certain depth of experience that you otherwise wouldn't have access to, or even have the ability to contemplate if it wasn't forced upon you by DMT. This lead me on the path to investigate how the mind/consciousness interacts with "reality". This field of study is known as cognitive science. it's crazy when he was talking about the shared psychedelic experience he had the first time he smoked marijuana. i had a strangely very similar experience, hash and everything. in my instance a friend of mine and i saw something at the exact same moment in time that isn't even possible in real life. it made us both throw our hands in the air, turn our heads to the side, and reel backwards in the same moment, like a reflex or gut reaction. what we saw was the traffic lights and wires that were down the street ahead of us stretch and shoot forward towards our faces. it was one of the strangest things i've experienced. immediately after it happened we both looked at each other and said you saw that? and we both knew the answer. we kind of just sat there dumbfounded for a bit and later talked about it and confirmed we both saw the same thing in that moment
So interesting, as if like another dimension/universe was being experienced for a moment and then the brain processes/logic brought you back to our reality.
It’s so weird that everyone who does DMT/psychedelics all deeply relate to the same experiences they have on it, like it’s some sort of reality when our brain’s on that shit regardless

The individual is accessing the subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is perhaps far more richer/ full of information collected and processed over the course of ones life, so much so that the conscious mind is actually limited in comparison.
So when they say they just "get themselves out the way", perhaps what is happening is they are no longer using their conscious mind to create something, but instead choose to access and allow the subconscious mind to flow through with all the information they did not know they harboured within themselves, which converts into such creativity.

Honestly I've tried the toad once to figure out why I'm not a better son to my parents. Was going through a lot mentally, But that was my mission. As the shaman told me to inhale I was instructed to think about what it is I wanted to figure out. As I inhaled it hit me but still wasn't enough so I had to take another hit. The second hit got me and I literally went into a beautiful place full of colorful patterns and shapes. Then I began to think of why I wasn't a better son to my parents. As I was thinking, a voice told me 2 words. You're blessed! Over and over again. I began to cry because it was such a simple answer but it made so much sense in that moment. Idk how to explain it but it was such a beautiful experience. My journey almost turned into a bad experience because you do start to feel guilty. But the shamans are their with you step by step. I couldn't see her but she hugged me and swiped my body with a bundle of bird feathers and which took away the negative energy. At that point I was still on my journey I began to think of the one thing I hope when we pass away that were able to fly through the stars and see the universe. At that moment my body literally left Earth and I was with the stars. I told the shaman "this is so beautiful. I finally understand". That's when I started to come back to earth. It took about 20-30 minutes but it felt a lot shorter then that. I recommend for anyone with certain questions that you havent gotten the answers to try it. I promise you if you find a good shaman it will open your eyes, heart, mind and spirit. Stay blessed everyone and much love and respect!!!

DMT is definitely the best trip I've ever had. Was really amazing!
The one time I died briefly it was the best experience of my life. I haven't experienced that level of peace, calm, and understanding since. I was only 3 or 4 years old but it made a huge impression on me.
I didn't see a portal or anything I was just floating above my body, rising upward, looking at my mom holding me and pleading with me and god to wake up. I then heard a voice say, "Not yet." I next shot back in my body and woke up looking up at my mom then I passed out.
Edit: my dad collaborated some of the details about it and I still have an injury from it. I was electrocuted on my left hand and the tendons were messed up I can't make a few hand gestures due to this.

This is awesome ! great to see Rick and Joe talking about DMT !! I was fortunate to have had 1 amazing DMT trip. That when explaining to one of my friends my own DMT experience he was able to further integrate his own near death experience , that had many of the similar characteristics of my own dmt trip. I would like to briefly explain my experience here.
Sitting in a natural grass and rock natural farm environment late summer. Just after watching sunset sitting in amongst beautiful rocks up above a major river. As I started to smoke it, extreme clarity and high pitch sound, some smoke came off to the side from my pipe and these little spirits in the smoke said to me , ''your good at this " Then I had another massive hit. I had some nice psy-dub music playing from my cell phone in the background. It was amazing how the trip started syncing perfectly with the music, this was an incredible feeling to be conscious of how it knew my music and as my eyes closed . Then blast off ! wow straight up and at a faster speed than any man made rocket. Then I reached this place, amazing far away place. I remember I was still ascending but at a slower rate now There was 2 or 3 super massive entities that looked like the OM symbol in Sanskrit or something very similar. Then I felt like I was a tiny cell going up the inside of a massive tree I was still ascending and as ascending up this massive tree I could feel these entities looking at me or sending healing energy and so on. Then this amazing warm light and energy started enveloping my entire body, at the time I also never wanted to lose that feeling. After some time, It actually felt like I made it to the very top or close to the top of this huge tree. I will never forget this feeling similar to that warmth of the winter sun on your back but this covered my entire body. My body felt completely brand new again floating in pure energy, pure light , pure love. After some time the experience faded and awoke after about an hour , the moon was in the sky with massive rainbow cords that looked a little like a giants spider web, then that faded and back to normal. I think my trip was only 10-15 minutes, but I probably had a 45 minutes nap snooze because I was super comfortable. I would love to go back for bit more exploration so to speak. Thanks guys your both doing absolutely amazing work. I cant wait to go and listen to the full interview. Wish all the best. Thank you !

I came up with a DMT theory around 30 years ago while on a DMT trip that altered my sense of time. I realized that the common house fly isn't moving that fast, but to it we are moving that slow. Do to every living thing creating DMT in it's body the amount of DMT controls the perception of time. By slightly increasing the amount of DMT in the Human body it is shown to lower time perception, but increase reaction time.

Better yet we are conscious because we are capable of generating future thoughts and past thoughts our brain is a Time Machine it’s self not in a literally sense but in a logical sense. I mean just imagine the state of your consciousness if you could not think of the future I.e tomorrow or the past. Imagine not being able to predict what tomorrow is going to be like. You would quite literally be no different from an animal. That is what separates us, it’s what allows us to dig deeper into ourselves and look ahead. Honestly it’s quite possible psychedelics played a role in the development of the human brain during our early stages. This is a perception that allows our brains to digest information.
Scientifically speaking in a literal since their is no linear scale of time, the linear pathway is a logical way to measure events but is no means the actual pathway of time it’s self. Time it’s self is a constant, it’s the rate of particles over an area. Different areas and places in the universe as well as many variables will affect this rate meaning time is not locked together but is individual rates of a constant over a field of an area.
DMT doesn't increase reaction time 😂 it dramatically reduces it!

If reality is everything we experience, then hallucinations and altered states of consciousness are part of that reality and not outside of / beyond it!
While I've never experienced DMT, I've extensive use with LSD in extremely personable environments that would promote the highest level of self reflection and introspection. I am a firm believer in sobriety being the most pure form of intoxication required to reflect upon something as spiritual as an LSD or DMT trip could be. Ultimately, the experience isn't forgotten in one's lifetime. Psychedelic use is not something I could imagine someone would benefit from regular usage.
Be smart, be sober, experience a trip and discontinue when you have experienced it enough to satisfy your soul.
I think tripping changes your reality, as many people will reiterate but when your reality doesn't run adjacent to the reality of the cosmos you will experience severe detachment and mental health disorders, possibly the reason why drugs can 'unlock' schizophrenia because the individuals sense of reality has been permanently altered. Every instance you trip, you change. There is no way to revert to yourself to who you were prior.

The more you do it, the less special and sacred the experience becomes, the less you learn and the less you discover. It's a paradox. That's why your first trip is usually the most profound even on a low dose, because you've never experienced anything like it before.
When I say tripping changes you, I mean it in the sense that after such a spiritual and awakening experience you couldn't possibly be the same afterwards and that is true for all grand experiences in life. Every experience you encounter in life changes you in one way or another, it's up to your perceptions to decide if that change is positive or negative.
I think you'll find that a low dose of a psychedelic is more beneficial in the right setting than a higher dose in the wrong setting so therefore don't allow your ego to convince you that you have to take more. Less can often be more. True to the saying.
If you could be alone in a safe environment you can be free of judgement, unexpected danger, unwanted interruption and one that you can change or adapt as your trip progresses, you'll find that to be the BEST setting, whatever it may be. That particular setting for me is my room, or a beautiful green field where no people will see me.

A young person who suffers brain damage, such as in impact from a sporting injury for example, will have a higher chance to adapt and overcome said injury because of the brains plasticity.
While substances can be beneficial, ultimately one can only stretch the rubber band of the mind before the brain can no longer return to normal under its own tension. A sober life is the true means of happiness, a sober mind does not deceive nor does it lie. If you're sober and healthy, your reality is true. I have learned what I speak of through the use of LSD, so I'm being hypocritical but I feel I've nothing more to learn from psychedelics.

When I did DMT for the only time, I didn't saw any gods or angel or love or goodness, but I faced the demons that I was trying to fight since child (incest-rape-abuse) and I won by using these bad life experiences to get strong, the weird thing on all of this is that, the demons told me how to get better in life and use the bad life experiences as life experience that makes you strong, they were right !!!

I had a natural dmt occurrence that was stronger than my experience with ingesting dmt it only lasted 4 minutes and I ended it at will because of the raw feeling of hyper reality was just too intense for me I was listening to 4hz isochronic tunes and I just so happened to line up a deep breathing state with my heartbeat

Joe is forgetting about how that stuff syncs between two people on the same substance. For example, how both can see the lights flicker at the same time or the same colors or ball of light. If it was just a “drug” …you think all would have their own individual “high” and not see the same things.

Dmt causes time dilation in your mind. You get the illusion that you're becoming one with everything and then "break through". But in actuality, you're always one with everything. Separation and individuality are an illusion of your senses. Just as you can only see so many colors, touch within a certain temp, smell certain smells, hear certain sounds, you can only think within "now". Smoking dmt essentially disables your regulator that keeps you in your natural state of perception, overclocking it. You can even hear the sound as you "breakthrough" like a tape fast forwarding. All that is happening is that your brain is perceiving more information per brain cycle.
So if you've ever seen a speedster super hero like the flash or quicksilver, you can understand how dmt entities could exist all around you all the time without you noticing. They exist in a faster than light space time. And you can't physically run into or hold them them, for the same reason you can't run into or hold light or gravity.
