You should not need one Bungy gate for every paddock. There should be one paddock accessible to the waterer at all times, right? So ((number of gates) minus one) should do it, assuming the gate sizes are all similar or the bungy gates stretch to fit.

level is horizontal, vertical is plumb. It is derived from the ancient tool of a plumb-bob which indicates vertical via a string and lead weight. (and incidentally, because lead was used..that's why it's called "plumb" as that is derived from the latin word for lead and, somewhat relatedly, why the chemical symbol for lead is "Pb").

The conductive bunjie cord it pretty cool. Cap your posts and they'll last much, much longer. Even galvanized pipe will succumb to the standing water inside it, especially since some of coating will have been abraded during the drive down.
Your frequent interaction with the cattle will make them much more cooperative with everything you have do with them.

we don't have to cap the posts my friend....I hear ya...however when you cap the post you don't allow it to breath and evaporate the moisture from the ground....so..eventually the post rots due to humidity and condensation inside the post. In places like Wisconsin and Minnesota where it’s mostly sand and the only work down-to about 30 feet as it’s a 1.25” pipe and that is about as far as a pump can lift with that size pipe. I have a spot on my property that I am going to try one that is all sand but I am not sure if the water will be shallow enough so I will dig down another 10’ or so and support the sand so I can get the water to a tank and then pump it out of there to the garden/animals.

I was born in the backwoods
    Of a two-bit nowhere town
Fathered up some rock 'n' roll (baby)
So your mothers could boogie down
    I ain't whistling Dixie
    No I'm a rebel with a groove
All around the world the go 'round and 'round
When they dig on my new stainless steel sound oh yeah
    I'm said a lumberjack baby
And I'm gonna cut you down to size
    I'm a lumberjack now baby
And you're the one you're the one that gets my prize
When you hear my motor running
You know I surely be coppin' a rise
Oh! So I'm gonna crank it up down the alley and jack it
    Woo
    I'm a lumberjack now baby
    I'm a lumberjack now baby
    I'm a lumberjack now baby
Ohh I'm a lumberjack now baby
But I ain't jacked my lumber baby
    Since my chainsaw you
    (Oh yeah)
    Ha haaa
Whether you like it or whether you don't woo
That's the way we like it

Hey Josh! Shame on you... if you don't make it easy on yourself. The time saved will really add up to a significant amount that can be better used on other tasks! Keep plugging away at it!

Hard to get help. Why buy the cow when you get the milk for free. Why work when they are giving away free money. To sponsor someone.and have them work on the farm legally cost a small fortune.
