The watch looks crap without the AOD though. What is the point of a nice watch face if its only on for a few minutes a day? Its literally the best feature of the watch
@@dunboy7874 compromises I guess. I'm currently testing how long I can make the battery last without the AOD and a few other features, then slowly add more and more until I'm ok with the battery
What I like about it is when you properly optimize it you can get 5 days of battery life out of it. I don't use the Ultra for fitness as those are nothing but gimmicks so those features were immediately disabled and also removed a lot of the bloatware as it's a pretty decent smartwatch.
Yea, as a fitness man myself, the whole oxygen levels, blood, heartrate, hydration is silly as heck. Only thing like is the steps, gps-miles and route tracker. I can do long marches and it keeps a record for me. This new watch is currently tracking my patterns, I hope that once it's done, the battery will calibrate more. (Like my Fold 6) It's nice to jsut take my watch with me instead of the brick of my smart phone lol
Great content. For me, I have mine on power saving mode, adaptive brightness, and limited health features turned on. And right now, my watch says I have 2d 13h left and used 17h59min. And my watch is at 80%. That's crazy battery life 😊 😊
That's not crazy. If you turn off all the features that made you buy the watch, what's the point of buying it.....I have the ultra myself. I was hoping/dreaming that the increased battery would actually last longer than my old 6 classic.
@@ShrekThePimp I'm getting 2-3 days battery with AOD off and wifi off unless I need it. HR is every 10 mins and my brightness is adaptive but I may try manual. Everything else is turned on. Pretty good imo
@Yielar1 1 day 17hours (it said 7 hours left when put on the charger) AOD on limited health features settings on. HR set to 10 min. I wish it would last a minimum of 3 full days. Then I could go away for the weekend without taking the charger with me.
turn off the OK google voice wakeup as that is what is taking up your battery. I have double press home button set to open google assistant. Works well.
I was going to share the same tip when I saw this. It makes a massive difference since Assistant was using nearly 20% of my battery. Once I turned it off, Assistant battery usage dropped to 2%.
Regarding the high battery on Google i have the same but may have the solution. I noticed on the phone same as bixby that it can be voice activated or use a button i have disabled hey google and hey bixby as iam wondering if it's draining the battery trying to listen out for the wake up and using just the side button ? And thanks for the video you have put out there much appreciated!
thanks for this. unless anything has changed, wi-fi is auto so will not turn on unless needed therefore battery savings are negligible plus if you use any apps that will use wi-fi to update it'll force to Bluetooth and drain your phone more
The only thing i dont have turned on is the AOD. Ive never used it with any of my smart watches because the lift wrist to wake works really well. I've worked out, done sleep tracking, used assistant, taken calls, pretty much everything you can do with the Watch Ultra and i get 3 days easily. Currently have 71% battery left and it says i have 2d 10h left, and it has been 1d 3h since last full charge. It sucks some people are getting shit battery life with theirs.
I had pro 5 and it lasted 3 days on the standard dial, but I switched to Garmin Epix 2 pro 51mm sapphire edition and with all options turned on and training, 30 days without charging
I have AOD off, Wifi off, the automatic health off, I dimmed the watch brightness from 100 to maybe a little less than 50% it's bright as is no need for 100% brightness. At this point, most things are on manual mode. I only have notifications for messages and phone calls too. My watch lasts me 5 days and 6 hours.
@@ForbesTechReviews yeah 🙂 straps could have tiny metal pogo pins sort of arramgement when it attaches to the body but that could compromise the water resistance ..maybe
I agree with the AOD. It was using 25%. The other options limit the functionality of the watch. I do turn off WiFi and turn it on when needed.
thanks for sharing your thoughts---i do the same thing with the wifi

@ShrekThePimp as of right now, I'm at 2 days 1 hrs left, and I'm at 62%. And battery usage is at 1 day 11hrs. Nice.
this one is amazing! Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!

What is the watch face you have with the green tint. Not the one at the very beginning
its call Scifi--its under the free ones on the playstore
Crossing my fingers on future updates that optimizes battery more
yeah hopefully so

Replace my "custom" watch face with one of Samsung original built in and I get about 8 more hrs.
thanks for sharing that- maybe i can try it myself
What is the watch face?
its called sci-fi
I wonder why they don't put thin battery in the straps itself to increase battery capacity 🤷🏻♂️
you couldnt take the straps off

@the_soultech_ST yeah i really don't know
for some reason my watch 7 ultra is draining super fast
very weird
Am good with my classic 6 47mm 2 day battery am good the new watch is not worth that crazy price
the Watch 6 classic is a great watch for sure
Price is actually amazing if you took advantage of the trade-in deals and quite the upgrade from the Watch 6
Samsung trade in deals are fantastic, really makes their products more affordable
Why buy an expensive watch and dummy it down 😮?
yes .bullshit samsung batterie
You don't have to if you don't want to
The battery is pretty good
Sounds like you missed the part where he said you could try some or all depending on your use case.
Why are you even here if you gonna leave comments like this 😂
So far i have the same things turned on that i had on my watch 5 pro and it’s definitely worse battery life. Not good
Yeah that doesn't make sense...the battery is really good
Funny video next time I'm will give you a better idea turn off your watch lol 😉
Tips to make it last longer
Lol... whats with the demonic screen saver?
its just the sun
If you turn everything off, it lasts a lot longer.
und wozu habe ich dann die scheisse gekauft ..fuck
You don't have to turn off everything
Not a smart comment
If you can't comphrehend a video then you make a dumb comment, lol
