So cool. You can use this technique with keys coins flat hardware like metal washers metal wire wound into a tangle flattened dried flowers thick card stock cut into intricate shapes, and all kinds of flat things. You have given me some ideas and just for amusement, I might try flattening some food and see what happens. 😂 Thanks for sharing
You are amazingly creative. I would have never thought of using foam to make designs. And I love how you show that you can use materials that aren't super expensive. Thank you so much for sharing.
You are so welcome and thank you so much! I was excited to find the DT items worked just fine. I dont love buying niche art supplies if I'm not sure I will like the technique.
All your texture prints turned out so cool! This technique has been in the back of my mind for several years now. I’ve got to hit the Dollar Tree. Much cheaper than Amazon!
How creative of you! A great inexpensive way to add new designs to paper. Could add print from foam to plain colored cardstock as well, to spruce it up. Thanks.
Absolutely - also some scrapbook paper - you could add a bold foam print over the top, leaving the scrapbook print in the background - got my gears turning haha. Thank you!
Hi from Michigan 👋🏼! I found you super early this morning when I couldn’t sleep. Then when I wanted to go back to sleep I couldn’t because I had so many of your cool ideas running through my head! I REALLY enjoy your videos! You’re so creative!! Thank you for sharing your talent! I’m curious if you post completed projects somewhere?
Oh, this was great! I remember, AT SOME POINT in your original video, wondering if foam plates would work, then forgot all about it by the time you wow'd me with everything else. Now, I have TWO Questions! 1) Using the speedball printing ink ... how fast does it dry on those already colored with paint prints? (It's always been my understanding that pringing ink dries on paper and likely will not dry on other surfaces) 2) Other than dryng time, does the consistency of acrylic ink on these embossed/debossed/whatever bossed plates give you the same results? Did you cover that in the first video and I just need to go back and watch it again? Thanks for these demos, this was very exciting stuff, Miss Shawna! ❤ Hugs, debC
These are so cool! Great idea! I personally can't handle touching Styrofoam or the sound it makes. Is the foam you originally used the other day similar in texture or sound?
Hi Alison! The other ones are more firm and compact feeling to me. But if you etch it, it'll likely feel similar. If you emboss it it's less hand on! But I understand, the sound is grating. Glad I voiceovered this 😀
Hello! No it works with acrylic but the block printing ink has a longer open time...meaning it dries slower than acrylic which gives you a chance to take your time and roll things out evenly. If you used open acrylic paint it would work well. Otherwise, you'd have to work really quickly because acrylic paint dries so fast.

GIRL! ❤
So innovative, love it! 👏 How many times are you able to reuse a styro template before it flattens too much?

Does this work only with the printer ink ? Cool looking pieces!!
