- How to activate WeChat Pay for foreigners without China Bank card?
WeChat Pay supports international Bank cards:
1. Visa Cards.
2. MasterCards.
3. American Express (AMEX).
4. Discover Cards.
5. Diners Club.
6. JCB card.
And provide your passport (if you're not from China Hongkong, Macau and Taiwan).
WeChat Pay and Alipay are the main mobile payment method in China. If you have none of them. It will be frustrating to visit China. Because China is an almost no-cash country. Sometimes, cash is useless in China. You purchase something and give merchants/vendors money, but they don't have small cash to give you change. Even they don't have cash at all.
Some services/products can be ordered by WeChat Pay / Alipay only, you should activate either WeChat Pay or Alipay before you go to China for traveling, study or for business.
WeChat Pay might be not available in some countries, but when you're physically in mainland China. The WeChat Pay feature will show up.

Do u fund Alipay?
I just entered the number, exp date, and CVV and it all worked. No verification or more info required. It says I can spend until 15k RMB before needing some more verification.

Yes, you can still use WeChat in China. Before you visit China, you need to use WeChat frequently if this is newly registered.

I used to top up in a Chinese game using Wechat Pay with my VISA card without any issues until the app detected that I did not complete id verification with passport. So now it does not let me complete transaction anymore unless I add a Chinese card. I am in process of getting my passport done next week. My question is: will Wechat let me use my Visa card in transactions again once I add my passport for verification?

Which country you drop shipping to? I offer drop shipping service as well. As for can you pay on China eCommerce platform, there's no guarantee. If you pay for merchant directly without via eCommerce platform. You or your merchant account probably will be limited or locked sometimes. Hard to say yes or no, I recommend you use it for a while to test it.
