  • Nebraska looks to have found their new transfer receiver in Isaiah Neyor who comes to the Huskers from Texas and Wyoming. Back in 2021 Neyor had 12 touchdowns and 878 yards for Wyoming before tearing his ACL in the offseason at Texas. Is he fully recovered and if he is, what can he provide for the Huskers? In this video I'll show you what type of receiver Neyor is and how he can impact the Huskers.

That's what we need, receivers who can see the ball coming and win the jump.

We haven’t had a receiver like that since Maurice Purify!!!

I do not understand, I must be mistaken about some of this, I thought the portal closed on January 2nd, what am I missing?

I might be wrong but that is the deadline to enter the portal (bowl teams are different) but players have until spring to commit / sign

@@garymorris1856it goes to the 7th of January then shuts down again till spring. That is why when the Idaho kid didn't make it this week for a visit it was to late for him now until spring unless he goes somewhere else that he's visited

yeah it's been a tough road. But he's from Texas and was under recruited coming out. A chance to go home and play for the big in state school is tough to pass up

Neyor is not the freshman flash he is now. He's been injured, and that's permanent. He never cracked the starting lineup at Texas for various reasons, not just the apparent injury. He is gifted and a physical specimen but has yet to be an elite receiver. Nebraska is desperate, so NU took the chance. Neyor should focus on getting a quality education with his scholarship because his future football career is bleak.

I beg to differ, as one who has had the exact same injury you can not judge that based on your experience of seeing what transpired at Texas. If you look at how many guys UT had waiting in the wings they just went on with next man up. I can't fault them for that. Not in today's College Football Landscape. More depends on how badly he was injured, who specifically did the surgery and how was he rehabbed? Like it or not it's different for guys they KNOW are going to be difference makers than guys who they have no clue how it will wind up. I don't know who did his surgery, where he underwent rehab and what the prognosis was for a complete recovery. I had Dr.Pat Claire himself do my surgery and had the best rehab available at the time cutting edge stuff then that's common place now...my injury might not have been as bad as his but speaking from actual experience my knee came out of it as good as before and has never given me trouble till the last few years when I can tell you a few days ahead of time when the weather is going to change. But I wasn't kind to my knees either...being a logger/Faller who Carry's a huge chainsaw up and down the mountain all my adult life over some of the nastiest stuff you could even dream of....I'm very happy to say so far so good and I tore mine in 89' so just because your upset that he left Texas for greener pastures....don't go bashing the young man.....Texas has a bad habit of getting its own way with putting 1 second back on clocks....your just butt hurt it didnt wash this time.....
