So, it is still very overwhelming, but you have tuned the chaos down a little with your videos. Still trying to wade through all the options and noise. I agree, that you should not stop doing what you are doing. You seem to have found your niche in life!

Great video. Something for entrepreneurs diving into print on demand to note is to focus on niche markets where you can create unique value - this often leads to higher conversion rates than trying to appeal to a broad audience. Keep it targeted and authentic.

Thank you so much for doing these videos. I just found you tonight when sitting in my studio creating my own brand website where i am going to open a webshop myself selling my own creations on clothing. I was initially thinking just tshirts and hoodies, but you're opening a lot of thoughts of branching out on higher profit things as well. I will probably reach out to you for some feedback once I am a little bit further along.
I was planning on going printful as that is a lower cost per month, but as you say, there are a lot of things on the stores with such a huge cost difference that the monthly fee from printify would eat up the higher cost of each product on printful...
There sure are a million things to consider starting this up, but you sure confirm my feelings i had when starting this. I can't compete with 6 million shops on Etsy, I have to carve out my own niche and be visible by myself and build a brand.
    Thank you!

Thanks for the awesome videos!! There's so many people pointing POD arrows for methods and vendors and $$$$. Your message and attitude is my favorite and is very realistic. I've been foraying into POD/AI for over a month now and there's so much to learn (and consider for your brand/niche). You're so right, you shouldn't just 'jump in' or you could lead yourself into a lot of frustration and doing things over. -- Subscribed!

    Joe, as always, great video.
One thing I slightly disagree with you is about returns.
The fact that we use a print-on-demand model should not matter to the client. The fact that we only create their product should also not matter to the client - unless we are talking about a customized item.
That's my point of view, and I think offering returns (within a time frame that makes sense) would only elevate a business in the customer's eyes.

Joe advises against Etsy stores, in part because of the platform risk. He recommends people build their own website and drive traffic to it via social media marketing. He has a free course on his website. He says there are 3 types of stores: a general store (various products and niches), which he recommends against, a product-based store (where you sell primarily one product), or a niche-specific store (where all your designs are aimed at one niche). Either a product-based store or a niche-based store is fine. Your call.

    Few questions
    1. Do we need to open an LLC to start running POD for payment and tax purposes? (how does sales tax and shipping work)
    2. When someone orders from our store are we manually ordering each item for them on their behalf or does it automatically ship our item with an integration on Shopify from our supplier?
    3. Are discounts recommended on our store?

    • @RealJoeRobert

topic suggestions... a newbie like me might want to try more than one store simultaneously because we don't know which store will take off, so we might have multiple business names. how to handle this? do you make an LLC umbrella corp? do you get multiple business licenses and bank accounts, or can you just get one business account, one UPS mailbox, one phone number and one business bank account. also if you are using A.I. to generate designs do you need an LLC and insurance in the rare event you might be sued.

      What’s wrong with the mock-ups?

    • @MissMolly3377
      @MissMolly3377 7 місяців тому

@@RealJoeRobert It’s not your classes, as far as the mock-ups, it’s just my brain.😂😂😂 I am making a design on a sublimated shirt, but it is just a single design, it isn’t a pattern, I am using the all over print shirt because of the nature of the design, it just looks better with sublimation, but what can I use for a mock-up? I have been searching on Creative Fabrica, Placeit, and Etsy, but they all seem to be for Gildan or B&C, so I am not sure what to use. Of course, it makes sense, the brand for the all over print shirts at printify are “generic” and they are polyester, rather than cotton and I don’t want to do false advertising, so I am trying to figure out what mock-up to use for that. No one has a video about finding mock-ups, unless it is for a Gildan or B&C, or a coffee mug, but there are other products, that you have shown in your videos, that you can’t find mock-ups ups for, like the cloaks, for example. I know you always tell us to order samples. Your Shopify series is awesome. They have changed a few things since you made it, though, but I have figured it out. I love that they are simple and quick videos, Joe. 😊
