- The UST law community showed its deep appreciation to Ephraim Bie, 2023 Bar topnotcher, through a victory event held on Tuesday night, December 5. After a dinner, the community paraded at UST grounds and prayed inside the church as a sign of gratitude.
A grand fireworks display capped off the victory event dedicated to the newest flag-bearer of UST law.

Masaya sila pero pag naalala ko si Atio Castillo who died of hazing nalulungkot ako. Siguro kung buhay siya, isa na rin siyangfull pledge lawyer ngayon. Soo sad. Meron kaya nagdasal para sa kanya or nakaalala man lang sa kanya when they were inside the chapel?

Normal kasi na at the very start pa lang, the defense will aver na walang intent to kill at very common sa defense to claim na yong victim ay meron nang pre existing health condition at palalabasin na hindi yong hazing ang cause ng death kundi yong health condition ng victim. Marami rin judge and even senators/congressmen/politicians na nagtapos ng law ang members ng frat at dumaan rin ng hazing kaya meron mga factors na pwedeng ma influence ang objectivity and impartality ng judge.

Congrats to all passers..But Philippines needs more Research Scientists and Medical personnel
UST is producing a lot. In fact UST produces the most number if doctors and nurses in the country.

@@SteveGates36They’re training and enticing their college students in the ways of research, at least. I just graduated from UST College of Science just this year and for me to go up the stage to get my diploma, I had to write four different research articles (one independent in 2nd year, two grouped in 3rd year, and a final major grouped one in 4th year). We defended each one of them to a panel of professors in and out of the University’s faculty. To this day, we still want to do more research even if we are working professionals already since our professors made the whole research process fun for us.
Add to that the two research studies we had in Senior High School as well - also in UST.

Karamihan ba ng mga law students sa UST sumasali sa frat na may hazing?
Seeing the law students and the Dean of the Faculty of Law celebrating with so much glee brings back the memory of the senseless death of Atio Castillo. Hindi ko personal na kilala si Atio or yong family nIya pero nakaka offend sa sensitivity ko na Nakikita ko na ang saya saya Nila pero Pag naisip ko ang damdamin at Emotional pain na dinanas ng parents, siblings, friends and family ni Atio ay meron halong galit at lungkot akong nararamdaman.

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO UP LAW???
UP has the most number of 2023 bar passers(the only school woth more than 200 pasers), UP also has the most number of bar topnotchers(top 20) and UP placed higher than UST in the school performance category.
@@user-mt9mx4nt3cbut UP only placed third behind Ateneo san carlos u and san beda (passing rate ). Apparently, UP should have been always the top performing school because of strict application and screening process but still being outshined by Ateneo san carlos and San Beda.
@@girbaud07 Para sa akin, Top peforming school pa rin sa akin ang UP kasi UP producef more new lawyers than Ateneo (229 for UP vs 159 for ADMU) , difference of 70 or 44% more new lawyers (bar passerd) than Ateneo and the difference in the percent passing rate between Ateneo and UP is ONLY about 5%. Pag yong %passing rate lang ang basehan eh di lalabas na mas magaling pa yong mga schools na naka 100% sa UP at Ateneo kahit less than 10 lang ang bar takers nila. Para mas maintndihan, a concrete example ay yong board exam result ng latest Board exam para sa Physical Theraphy. PLM (Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila) is the Top Performing school with 98.23 passing rate, 113 board passers. Second is UST with 97.44 passing rate, 156 board passers , 43 passers more than PLM or 38 % more than the number of PLM board passers and although the percentage passing rate diffetence between PLM and UST is only 0.79% (less than 1 point) PLM is ranked as the Top performing PT school pero para sa akin mas angat pa rin ang UST sa PLM sa performance in terms of the number of new PT produced by the schools. Parallel to this, para sa akin ay mas angat pa rin sa akin ang UP sa Ateneo sa 2023 Bar exam at para sa akin Top performing school pa rin ang UP, lalo na mas maraming UP lawyets among the top 20 and very negligible lang yong difference sa mga scores/grades yong mga nasa Top 20.
