Those Vulcan engines are abusable as hell I’ve got a ranger 3.0 with 200k miles and I’m tough on it but it takes it lmao

@BADBADGER18 yeah the Vulcan is an excellent engine. All iron and way overbuilt plus low power output. I've had 3 Tauruses with the Vulcan and NEVER burned oil or any engine problems.

@@ashtondavis.3191 I must be thinking of the newer pre-Europe Rangers then. I believe a Duratec was an option at least by then. Regardless of that, both are still tough vehicles to be taking all of that abuse. If you haven't already, check out another one of Mark's previous vids where an Escape is jumped, rolled over, crushed, and still ran until the oil was drained out of the engine.
Ranger has a Vulcan or a Lima

@@joshm.9308 The Vulcan is the 3.0 V6. There is also a 4.0 v6. And the Lima 2.3 4 cylinder was used until 97 when the 2.5 Lima replaced it. 2002 I think was the first year for the 2.3 4cyl duratec which replaced the Lima. The 2.5 in my 99 Ranger has 200, 000 hard miles on it cause it was a city truck. and it still runs like a sewing machine.

Well I mean the Ford Ranger is technically a Mazda since Ford developed it with them. And there's a Mazda counterpart of the Ranger so...
The late 90's version is a Mazda. However older ranger nameplates and recent aren't. So I don't really see why they would use one. Maybe they didn't have one to destroy

In Canada every thing has to reach safety standards and sometimes it can cost upwards of $5000+ to do so. So most these cars go to the scrap yard instead and get crushed into blocks.
