  • So, this will be the last video from our Scotland trip.
Just a bit of fun really, 30 seconds of footage for each day and music to match the mood of each day too hopefully.
10 days of riding condensed down into approximately five minutes.
Really hope you enjoy it, it was good fun to make this one. Quite difficult to narrow it down to just 30 seconds to be honest!!!
Anyway, that’s’ it for this trip, see you on the next one.....

Thanks David and Matt for all the An Turas Mor footage. In principle we are off up there in 2 weeks time, unless of course wee Nicola cancels our plans once more! It's really helped to see the tracks, to determine bike & tyre choices and of course that dreaded ford! Quite brilliant, thanks.

Thanks so much, glad it was helpful. Really hope you get to do the route this year. One good thing is that you don't see that many people on the trail, so Covid free hopefully. Best of luck, you'll have a fantastic time. :-)

Great set of videos David, it’s really put me in the mood for doing this trip this or next year.
For some reason I had it in my head that the more northerly part of the route had less than friendly cycling tracks (like pushing over boggy terrain a lot?) but this 5 minute video seems otherwise!?
I’ll rewatch the whole series and pay more attention !
Thanks very much for these well produced and documented videos 👍

Hey Tony. Apologies for the slow response. The whole route is rideable, I don’t remember any sections that would require pushing through boggy terrain. It’s mostly single track and access tracks for power and hydro projects. There’s a bit as you leave Fort Augustus that I remember being a bit damp and has a small stream to cross and then the Ford crossing at Cashel Dhu. But overall its all good. You’ll love it, its such a great ride.
We’re riding the GBDivide next June so will be riding quite a bit of this route in reverse. looking forward to it as I love the An Turas Mor route. Good luck. 😁

I really enjoyed that! I seen you spent a lot of time in your coat. Then bare arms, then another long sleeve. Was it mostly chilly? I recognise those benches on day 7 from Contin! Thanks for sharing!!

Hey Allen. Yes, just changeable conditions really. Only felt really cold twice, on the Corrieyairack Pass and on the descent to loch Shin. Think I remember us saying that even the sunny days had a slight chill in the air, which was nice for riding though. :-) And yes, the shop was at Contin, a welcome re supply before heading up into the more remote section.
