    Definitely always have to have some brainstorming going on to make some stuff fit. It doesn’t always match up perfectly even though it should. Thanks for sharing 🍀💰😎🍻👍

    What about the crossover? Those tweeters would be playing the full range of sound withought a xover installed

      @djronthemechanic3695  2 роки тому +5

      These are just connected to the factory radio they have a built in crossover

      @@djronthemechanic3695 Maybe yes maybe no....The factory nissan/infiniti tweeters don't have a factory crossover in the radio. The cheap stock tweeters have a resistor at the input terminals on the tweeter itself which you removed. It's unclear without better video to see if the aftermarket tweeter had an inline resistor or not. If it doesn't the tweeter is indeed receiving a full range signal. Nice install regardless.

    How did you remove the pillar that was stuck on the plastic hook? im struggling trying to get the pillar off. Greatly would appreciate your advice!

      Use a pry tool , it's really stuck on by a plastic tab . pry and pull forward at the same time.

      @djronthemechanic3695 thank you for the quick reply, I really appreciate it! I've been trying to pull that dang panel off for 3 days now, thinking I might snap it, just no way to get the hook to come out, I'll try your method. Thank you again! God bless brotha!

      @@djronthemechanic3695 I’m having the same problem..what do you mean by “pry and pull forward”? Which direction does the plastic tab need to be pried? It feels like there’s a hook on the back side but I can’t seem to release no matter which way I pull it.

      @danielboland9333 I did, I ended up snapping the plastic hook on the driver side and some how was able to get it off on the passenger side with out breaking it, you have to pull really hard and not worry about snapping the pillar. Everything still fit back as normal when i put it back. Even on the one with the broken hook. Just put some muscle into it

    I was really hoping to see how to remove the panel. It's the only think I was really hoping to see and it's the only thing you skipped entirely 😕

      Uh he pulled the rubber gasket, then pulled the panel out with his hands. There was something preventing him from opening fully so he said about 20 times he was going to cut the video get a tool and get it open

      @@danielboland9333 it’s hard to take off the pillar for sure, I did it with my dad, there might be clips but it was over a year ago so I don’t remember. Good job but if you noticed factory speakers had a factory compositor new ones didn't should've got those installed with new tweeters aswell but install was OK but like other review crap replaced with crap so more then likely will be replacing again just next time get quality with a aftermarket compositor both installed but that's just my opinion.

      Just for a replacement those tweeter’s sound good just to run off the factory radio. I didn’t wanna install any expensive equipment since we ended up selling the car.

    • @kyleszen3346

      are you talking about the capacitor? thats there to form a high pass filter with the coils inductance (to remove bass/mids out of tweeters) I could be wrong here but I believe most aftermarket speakers have tuned coils to do this without adding additional components. i guess it would depend entirely on the value of the speakers you're buying.
      just as a side thought the reason im here in the first place is to get a look at the factory setup before going through it my self. I've noticed distortion in the highs when I crank the factory head up I was planning on adding a cap inline to block bass/mids but it seems nissan has already done it. i would like to know the capacitor value so I can get the cut off frequency but wasn't able to see it on the video. im thinking now if im going to pursue this further it might be more feasible to just go aftermarket on the tweeters as im already replacing the 6's and 6x9's

      @@kyleszen3346 this setup here I had been replaced the factory 6.5s and 6x9s but the factory tweeters were too quiet.These tweeters you just connect the wires because they have a high pass capacitor built into them. The end result was everything sounded much better compared to the factory speakers.But here is the kick the newer Nissan cars have 2 ohm speakers.If you’re going to use the factory Nissan radio I would suggest getting the JBL speakers that are 3 ohms to get some volume from the factory unit.
