This is 4K ULTRA HD presentation of original Playstation graphics and game appearance captured. It is done this way to preserve original game look through modern footage. No enhancement or smoothing was used.
I love that you've done this ♥ Some idiots always say stupid stuff like "It doesn't have to be 4K because PS1 captures are in SD" or something but of course it's better to also upload those kind of videos in 4K because of the wildly better 4K-Video-Bitrate on UA-cam etc. 🤓
You made it look easy with your skill! I remember playing this game a lot when I was younger and it's still one of my favorite Jurassic Park games even though it can be pretty challenging in parts (the Human Hunter levels were a real nightmare for me to beat!)
The rapidly scrolling text on the left side of the intro video/loading screen contains lore and a simple Easter egg message. It contains a company email discussing introducing the imbalance of carnivores vs herbivores on the island, the introduction of the compys to their habitat and their risks , & even a reference the brachiosaurus migration which takes place a few levels in. The email seems preoccupied with the risk to the compy tribe, but they end up devastating a population of baby dinos + killing a few members of that other herbavore, yet barely cause any raptor fatalities. Which ties into elements from the book iirc. Very interesting stuff
the nostalgia feels of this game is so heavy. Being a kid in the 90s was the best time ever. Internet, cell phones, social media destroyed the beauty of this world IMO. We are all digitals zombies now
I remember playing this as a kid. I only remember getting to level 2 and couldn't get past it, and most definitely stopped playing at the time. But watching this brings good memories of this game for how simple it is, and even though i only got to level 2, it was fun playing it as a kid.
When i was young i simply did not understand the Sleeping Titan level. Even now it looks pretty jank. Looks like you just mash jump and pray you don't get stomped on and killed instantly.
I love how each playable character in this game has their own style of music and each level just further expands on the same style with extra instruments or sounds based on the level itself. It's a very simple concept yet extremely underutilized in games these days.
I love this game when I was a kid. Actually, Compy's level is the most challenge and difficult. The most difficult and made me nervous level are Aisle of Giant, Sleeping Titan, Plains, The River Edge, Beneeth the Survace, and Tidal Cavern.
I'm surprised the Compy didn't make it into Jurassic Park Operation Genesis. I heard it was because the makers decided it would have been too small to see for that game. I don't think it would have been. They could have just used the Dryosaurus model and retouched it with the TLW look.

This brings tears to my childhood heart. Thank you for putting this up, appreciate it man

The Compy chose to attack a Carnotaurus instead of walking around him. Bold little guy.
I've always liked that Faint 1:34 Tyrannosaurs roar in the background
Such good ambience , the attention to detail in this game was top notch
I always lowed the music to listen the t Rex fighting ech other
I only ever made it to the Plains once, the Sleeping Titan was the bane of my existence as a kid.

Isn't it strange how unlike the Raptor and T-Rex the Compy is the only playable dinosaur in this game that isn't also an enemy?
i feel old.....playing this at my nans house, never getting past lv 1 coz i was so bad at games abc kthen

1:14 You can use your attack on the dragonflies to get health too.

Being so small Had to be ready for the unexpected surprises on every level
This is one of the games I started to play It will forever stay in my ❤️
Hey, this game have a better design of the Carnotaurus than the movies!
I believe it's based on the TLW book design ;)
Yep

It deserves a remake for ps5 😎🤘
only The Isle Evrima was able to replace this game for me.
I LOVE THIS

Love parasuchus 😊
Was it entirely necessary for the Hunter to fire rocket propelled grenades at a compy? 😂
came here because of Michael Giacchino’s story
