There are a few different versions of bonnets and nosecones, largely influenced by the engines Caterham have used over the years. In today's video we're going to show you how to remove them, and provide some top tips along the way.

** We've closed the keyring form now. After an amazing response, exceeding our expectations, keyrings found their way to owners all over the globe! **
I have the clamshell wings on my 1700 Super Sprint, and the Weber carbs, too. I find it easier to stand on the carbbie-side of the car to remove the bonnet. I get my hands under the centerline of the bonnet and tilt the exhaust-side up a bit. Then I can see to clear the air cleaners.
Even as a long term owner of a Caterham I always learn something new in these videos. Thanks Callum and Turn 7, keep them coming!
Excellent. Please keep making tip videos!
Yes - many thanks indeed sir!
All useful stuff, once again. Why do you find it easier to stand opposite side to air filters as if you stand next to them you can see them and locate? Each to his/her own preference of course!
If I bring my car to you for a lights upgrade can I have a keyring. I'm sad to have missed the form.
That will qualify you for a free keyring, yes 😊
Al Large?
That is the dreaded Dzus fastener that lead to frustration and paint damage on your airplane. I despise them.
They can be a source of frustration, can't they Joe? 😬 Life is much easier when one has a nice keyring that fits them properly… 😄 (if you need one, drop us an email via the website and we'll happily post you one out!)
03:01 Would you believe it, just this week I put my bonnet down, carefully, on some grass only for a dog to wander over and stand on it 🤦♂ He was a big dog too! Bent the bonnet. Sigh.
Did you shoot the dog?
@@finncarlbomholtsrensen1188 I love dogs (and have my own) so no, despite the massive disappointment I blamed myself 😆 Sigh. I did tell him he was in the dog house though. For what it was worth - he was a German dog, and my German 'könnte besser sein'.
👃👃👃👃🤣🤣🤣
Caterham should make a small bulge in each end of the bonnet, which would make it easy to remove!
