I showed this to my wife and she said - “You can roll your window down on the stock doors or you can sleep in the garage with all your doors!” Thanks for this video; I’m thinking this means she’ll consider’em!
Heck I would drive your way if you decide to offload the tube doors. I am thinking of those for next year’s wheeling season. They look great for hard core trails where I don’t like full off doors.
I had a 1998 TJ with half doors that I owned from 2011-2017 and just became so used to them. I didn’t realize at the time how much of a novelty they were. I couldn’t pass up getting a set when I ordered my 2023 two door JL!
When you take the uppers off are there covers for the holes where the posts go? 12 doors don’t take up that much room, if you always have a set mounted then you only need to worry about storing 8 doors. 😊
It would be cool to see a perspective shot from the driver's seat with each of them. Maybe that would be a good IG post showing what it's like driving with each of them?
Great comparison 👍👍, bro you got to color match them half doors for sure, the tube doors look good because it's not ALOT of black, but I'm wondering now🤔🤔🤔 maybe even them tube doors would look cool color matched 😎😎😎😎.
So odd question, but since you have the proximity sensors on those half doors, did you have to do any type of reprogramming of them to work with your keyfob, or is all that info passed to the doors via the cabling?
My half doors were a dealbreaker on my 2022 order. I love them!! The issue I’m having is my passenger front is leaking pretty badly. We’re going to try & re-fit (directions are terrible) or it’s going to a body shop because something is definitely wonky. Even with all that, half doors are THE BEST!! Live having them in Florida, where we’re just getting into topless season (summer is mostly too hot).
I have a set of Motor City Aftermarket tube doors and love them, but find myself running mostly no doors with my Reaper Off-road foot pegs. I'm in Tennessee, so it's at least legal here. Half doors are such a "flex on the poors" though and come with instant cool points whenever you pull up.
Matt I love this video. I am definitely wanting to get a set of Mopar Tube Doors in the future. What I love also about this video is your door rack you have them sitting on. Can I ask where you got that? Definitely not the traditional garage wall hangar you see out there and can hold 4 doors as well! Is that fairly sturdy when doors are on it so you don’t run the risk of them falling off? Would love to get your response.
Aloha Matt. The great things about these exchanging doors are several things. First, they're rust proof. Second, you can make them appear like a full door or a half door. The cons are very expensive and space taking in the garage for storage as far as the lack of color matching that you stated too. Great video 📼 Matt.
Like you I drove 10 hours to New Taswell Tennessee (round trip 24.5 hours) to pick up a set of half door for my wife Snazzberry 392 (the doors came off a white 392) I have a 2018 2 door JK and I want to know if you know if there is a kit from Mopar? the 2 Dealer parts department neer me are not all i need to order to have a complete set of uppers
I am so torn about the color, I know off topic, sorry. Getting a Gladiator before end of this year. Can't decide 2021 Gecko or 2023 High Velocity 🤔. Never seen either in person but those two I really like.
Thx Matt. My opinion and again it’s only my opinion but for me personally I just can’t wrap my head around those half doors just being a couple of inches lower and no posts it just doesn’t justify the price for them I’d rather have the tube doors but again maybe the video doesn’t show the real difference between the half doors and the stock doors.
I think it’s a hard difference to see in a picture or video. I have a set for mine and they are noticeably lower and more open than just rolling down the windows on the full doors. In fact, they are so nice, I actually ran them all summer long and never took the doors off. The other thing I really like about the half doors is it’s much easier to pop off the uppers than remove the whole door. For me, the weather here is pretty fickle, so long stretches of doorless time don’t really happen. The first 2 years of owning my Gladiator I had the doors off 3 times, and one of those was a week at the beach. This year with the half doors I routinely remove the uppers and enjoy the Jeep even more.
I’ve got an unrelated question for you. How would you suggest removing scuff marks from aftermarket headlights? I have Axial Led headlights and they have clear polycarbonate lenses. No scratches but definitely scuffed up. I’ve seen all sorts of recommendations but would highly value your thoughts. Thanks ahead
MOPAR makes a mirror set specifically for tube doors. They're essentially the same mirrors as for full door but with a concave fitting on the bottom to mount to the top tube.
Are you a Doorder? (Doorder | dōr-Durr | Noun : a person who is a hoarder of doors) I am still jealous of those stock half doors. They are rare up in Canada.
I showed this to my wife and she said - “You can roll your window down on the stock doors or you can sleep in the garage with all your doors!” Thanks for this video; I’m thinking this means she’ll consider’em!
😂🤣😅
That's what I am hearing! Have you placed your order yet??
She didn’t say no.
😅😂😂😂
Lol the garage sounds comfy!
Heck I would drive your way if you decide to offload the tube doors. I am thinking of those for next year’s wheeling season. They look great for hard core trails where I don’t like full off doors.
I love them, just too many doors!
I paid 398 dollars for all 4 of the mopar wrangler JL jeep doors on eBay. Brand new never used.
That’s a great deal!
Definitely want to get the tube doors for my 2 door JL being stingray grey, the matte black will really pop!
They are great!
Very cool. Did you say the stock half doors have windows that power up/down?
I have the tube doors for my 2dr JL with the mesh cover and I love them. The mesh cover add a little more protection but they do howl on the highway.
Good to know!

That’s awesome!
So funny you made this video… i have been thinking about tube doors.
They’re awesome!
Another great video! The man’s on a roll.
Half doors for the win!!
Thanks for watching!

Yes there are covers for them! And even with the cart and my wall hangers it takes up a lot of room LOL
It would be cool to see a perspective shot from the driver's seat with each of them. Maybe that would be a good IG post showing what it's like driving with each of them?
That’s a great idea!
Hey Matt could you make a video about options for mounting a front license plate on the factory steel bumper?
Great idea!
What I not done take doors off maybe I'm odd ball 😅😅😅 . Love cart and jeep tube doors. Nice tag on front. Thanks for advice.
Thanks brother!
@@DIRTROADCRED Anytime!
Awesome, you got me at 12 doors. 😂 One day I’ll have those tube doors. If you’re ever in southern AZ, I’ll gladly take them off your hands.
LOL you never know where I'll end up!
Any news if Jeep is going to allow us to buy the half doors from Mopar?
Nothing yet!

Yea that is handled by the ECU itself. The doors just contain the sensors that the ECU uses to validate that it's the correct fob.
They work no problem, the proximity is in the jeep itself, the connection is just made to the door through a trigger wire!
Another good video!!😊
Thanks Dawn!
Those tube doors are nice!
They’re great!
Thanks for the review!
You’re welcome!

The half doors are sweet!

Lol the flex is real
Wow! Great video👍👍😎🇺🇸
Thank you!
I have a set of Rugged Ridge tube doors with the nets added and they are pretty nice and fairly heavy. Would love a set of oem half doors though.
The Oem are sweet!
Another great video Matt. Love the tube doors. i thing they would look good on my JL..... 12 doors.......WOW...... :-))
All the doors!

I really like the cart! The link for it is in the description!

Thanks a bunch brother! Glad to have you here!
Pennsylvania needs allow the Jeep to go door less. But those tube doors do look awesome
You’re right about that!
The JK there was a kit a while back that you could order for the half doors, I'm not sure if you can still get them at this point!
Great video…. Glad to know that you are 12 doors away …ha!😅
Lol that’s true in our neighborhood!
I am so torn about the color, I know off topic, sorry. Getting a Gladiator before end of this year. Can't decide 2021 Gecko or 2023 High Velocity 🤔. Never seen either in person but those two I really like.
I like the high velocity 😎
Definitely a big expense, but I’m glad I have them!

Let me ask my buddy! He does headlight restoration!
If you have some for my jeep gladiator rubicon I will buy them and it would give me a reason to come visit
That would be a fun trip!
I think so I think if it's ok if I email you or whatnot if that's ok with you
Do you have the Bestop full soft doors?
I do not
Can you actually order the Mopar half doors?
Yup duel door group
What mirrors do you run with your tube doors?
MOPAR makes a mirror set specifically for tube doors. They're essentially the same mirrors as for full door but with a concave fitting on the bottom to mount to the top tube.
Thank you
I typically run Carolina metal masters!
does anyone know if the front door of a 4 door jl will fit on a 2 door jl?
Yes it should!
Ill buy your mopar tube doors lol
They might be for sale soon!
Are you a Doorder? (Doorder | dōr-Durr | Noun : a person who is a hoarder of doors)
I am still jealous of those stock half doors. They are rare up in Canada.
I’m guilty !
Matt👍🏽👊🏽
😎😎😎
I can't find half doors in sarge green to save my life
Sell me your rear tube doors!
Lol I’m keeping them!
@@DIRTROADCRED man I’m trying to find rear sets but I can’t find them anywhere! I don’t want to buy a full 4 door set. Sucks!
