King Bob-omb is my favorite from Paper Jam because his battle is so unique, and at the time he wasn't very prominent even though he is mainline Mario. You can actually let him blow up and still survive; this is easiest to do with a super defensive 10x-copied Paper Mario, and does result in a win, which was fun to discover.
7:13 this is literally a copy paste of the Dark Star's attack in M&L BIS. I noticed this immediately as I played those games both back to back for the first time each recently.
And the attack where he spits those blue fireballs is similar to the Dark Star’s minions’ attack where they shoot little lasers at you or above you, except that King Boo adds his own twist to it by reversing them back at you.
This video is great! I love how you rank each battle.
I have to give Paper Jam credit. This was the last time Nintendo gave Paper Mario a Level up system.

Paper Mario and Mario + Rabbids are better
How is paper mario better? The series has been inconsistent with its games, while mario + rabbids only has 2 games. The m&l series has always been a consistent series. Even paper jam (despite being bland) is still a decent game to play through
The combat is unique, the humor is consistently great, the stories are excellent (except Paper Jam), and it is family friendly! Pokemon is great, but Mario & Luigi is the best in my book!

For the Ludwig and Larry fight, to dodge the double shell attack, watch Ludwig since he will always attack first. :)
Yeah when you first fight them he said "me first" meaning he will attack first.

I hope not. I enjoyed Paper Jam for what it was, but it is still easily the worst in the series. I'd rather just have more new entries like Brothership going forward, especially since it has been so long.
@@BlueGalaxy64 Maybe not remake it, but I'd like to see Paper Jam and the other Mario & Luigi games ported at least. That would come with the need to convert the games to one screen and replace the touch controls, but I'm sure they could figure it out.

My only real complaint about the boss fights were that i wish there were more Paper Bosses. Like, maybe, instead of King Bomb-omb maybe it should've been Mister Blizzard.

I agree, but I hope it is towards the middle of the game like Partners in Time or Bowser's Inside Story, and that he is not a part of the final battle at all.

I've always played Mario & Luigi games since Bowser's Inside Story on Nintendo DS to Dreamteam and Paper Jam on a 3DS that defienitily Bowser's Inside Story and Dreamteam Bros are my favourite Mario & Luigi games! But are Superstar Saga and Brothers in Time good? And about of Paper Jam bosses it's Final Boss is one of the BIGGEST because there's a real Mario characters and Paper Mario characters faces each other, but Bowser's Inside Story Final Boss is the most EPIC one! Can't wait i'm so excited for a new Mario & Luigi Brothership game for Switch!

22:22 it's actually one attack that he missed but I understand because it's rare it's an attack that he'll charge at you and you have to match the attack button with your Hammer to get them off your back. It is probably the least common attack in the final boss you rarely see it
Paper jam is pretty awesome, even if it’s one of the worst in the series, there always has to be a worst and a best, and that’s not saying that isn’t a great game. All of the games are amazing it just happens to be not as good
The series is so good overall that even if Paper Jam had been significantly better than it was, it would still likely come in last place.

It's funny that you say that most of these aren't original because as someone that avoided every paper mario game after Super Paper Mario I felt that the paper bosses were pretty interesting alongside their regular counterparts. Then again i'm much more casual about games so long as they're at least passably fun to play, and Paper Jam was just that, an okay game
I actually really liked the papercraft battles. I thought they were a unique and creative evolution of the giant battles. The bowser one was really cool. Paper mario in this game is awesome. They missed big time on not including paper luigi.
Paper Luigi would have been great, but I can imagine some reasons why they opted not to include him:
-1: Some think four characters, like with Partners in Time, was too much.
-2: Paper Luigi talks a lot, which might be considered odd since the rest of the group would mostly still be silent.
-3: Coming off of Dream Team, having 2 Luigis again is a bit repetitive.
I don’t mind any of these things personally, just trying to think through why they didn’t include him.
At least it doesn't force you to use the gyro controls or the microphone like in the giant battles from the previous games.

I’ll defend Sticker Star, so no judgement here, but I'm legitimately curious why you like this one the best? I think Paper Jam is somewhat enjoyable, but is the worst in the series due to having:
-A Shallow story
-No original characters
-Too many Ranks Ups, making your team overpowered
-The Battle Card System (just a personal disliking)
For me it’s my second favorite Mario & Luigi game behind Bowser’s inside Story, and this is coming from someone who just finished replaying through all of the Mario & Luigi games a few days ago. Yeah, the story, characters, areas, etc. may be generic, but that didn’t really bother me at all if I’m being honest, especially since the gameplay was peak which is what matters the most to me (though it would’ve been nice if this game also had a better story). I can see why people aren’t a fan of this game though, and I don’t blame them for not liking it.
If I were to personally rank all of the Mario & Luigi games after having replayed through them all, it would be:
1. Bowser’s inside Story
2. Paper Jam
3. Dream Team
4. Superstar Saga
5. Partners in Time
