    • @MisterBrandts

      there's nothing wrong with kia/hyundai. its just in the US they be cheaping on you guys.
      every car since like 1996 comes to immobilizer (chip that require to be on the key/ close to the ignition for the car to start).
      kia/hyundai charge for that "add-on" and it dosen't come with the car unless you asked for it (i guess people aren't being offered to install it in dealerships).
      so all the kia boys do is break/ release the key cylinder and stick the usb to start the car no problem. just like you see old pickups started with screwdriver...
      so just ask for the immobilizer to be installed and you are fine.
      altgho they might break your windows and cylinder only to find out they can't steal it..

      What kids don't realize is insurance costs money. Besides the premium, there are deductibles and when the insurance is used, the premiums go up. Maybe not after the first use in all cases but still, the deductible alone can be a struggle. My deductible is $1,000.00 so that I pay a lower premium. In areas where the risk is higher, they'd want a lower deductible but then their monthly premium is higher. It's a lose-lose situation for the insured.
      EDIT: Also, if you make too many claims, your insurance company can drop you and the odds of finding another company to insure you are low. Then IF you find a new insurer, you can guarantee your premiums will be out of this world.

Many time insurance companies don't just pay out right away and it takes away from your time at work and home to deal with all of that shit. So it doesn't matter if you have car insurance it's not an excuse for his dumb ass to be stealing people's cars. He the first one who needs 10yrs prison time just for saying that stupid shit.

    The G siting on the step was saying some real shit. Most people try to blame the parents. True parents are a big influence but they can’t control a whole teenage human being after a certain point. They pray, talk, yell, etc.. but at the end of the day it’s your child. You love them unconditionally and u cry for them but you just hope and pray they make it in at night and get past this stage in their life. I pray for all these kids that they grow up and mature fast. This is chasing death , fast, literally!

    • @allfacts19
      @allfacts19 11 місяців тому +4

      A parent can guide their child in the right direction. You have to be a constant in their life. If they look up to you and respect you they'll make the right choices. You have to let them know what sitting in jail is like from a young age. Or show them how horrible the food is.

    • @ExileOnDaytonStreet
      @ExileOnDaytonStreet 2 роки тому +82

      They don't deserve it, absolutely.
      What's sad is that these kids are coming from rough situations, and their lack of self-preservation is shared by the lack of caring from the community around them. Someone (a vigilante, a cop, or even one of their own) could kill them in the street, and no one would bat an eye.
      Hell, even if we protest (because there's no due process, no judge, no jury, just the executioner when that happens), we could get Rittenhoused and people would just complain that we were "un-American" while they glorify our killers.
      I can't imagine growing up feeling like that's how society views me, or would view my death. I'd like to think that I wouldn't turn into these kids, with their complete disregard not just for their own lives, but the lives of people around them... but clearly that messes you up inside.
      And meanwhile, who suffers the most? Their own community. The working parents around them, trying to raise kids to be something else.

    I live in Milwaukee and regrettably own a Kia. It got stolen in October last year. They had it less then 24 hours and did 14k in damage to it without crashing it. Didn't get it back from the shop till January. It got stolen again earlier this month and this time it was around 10k in damage. Even with insurance it's going to cost me a $500 deductible and last time it was in the shop so long it cost me nearly 4k in rental cars. Praying it wont be in the shop as long this time. Had the wheel lock. it does shit. Can't afford a different vehicle and all Kia will do is offer to SELL me a 1k security system that likely wont do shit. I can barely afford to eat because of this repeated nightmare. These bastards are ruining me financially and putting others in danger. It doesn't matter how fast someone tries to get out of your way if they are on foot and your doing 80 mph. They are going to die. As far as I'm concerned I hope these little bastards all crash the next car they steal and become organ donors. It's the only way they are ever going to contribute to society.

      You need to get a kill switch and a boot. Seriously get a kill switch that either shuts off the fuel or the battery and hide the switch like in the glovebox under all your paper or some shit and then you can wire it through the dash or you can wire it through carpet and put it somewhere less obvious than the glovebox. And a boot on the wheel that tow truck companies would be annoying and almost embarrassing to put on your car but whatever gets the job done. I def would boot up my car at night or chain it to something if I was you. I have a powerstroke diesel they are notoriously very easy to steal. Some type of alarm that will Sound off over anything might be nice too. But the kill switch is prob the easiest thing to do and those young ass kids don’t know shit so once they rip your ignition stuff out and try to start it and it won’t start they will just dip

      Failure isn’t an option in my household it’s an option on the streets tho . I knew my ass would be out of my house if I pulled something like that and it definitely prevented me from ever even taking a chance of getting caught doing something remotely that stupid. IMO tough love is the best love especially for someone strong willed like myself. If I’m giving you food clothing, shelter, and your ass is old enough to flip burgers at McDonald’s you ain’t gonna be living in my house stealing peoples cars that simple. It’s this soft ass mentality created these kids in the first place no consequences, no remorse. My mentor got kicked out of his house at 16 and said it was the best thing his parents could’ve done for him, it’s not a lack of love it’s tough love, he now runs his own business and raised kids that never needed to be kicked out moved out on their own at 18. The very point is when you set those boundaries and you mean it they’ll never get crossed in the first place. My kids can stay in my house till their mid 20s for all I care but they ain’t gonna do it being destructive members of society

      Makes no sense, you had to pay a deductible. Your rates will rise. You didn't get bodywork done for free. Kiaboyz fucked you.

      They hit a car on 13th street. The guy was just coming home from work and bam. The kids just ran, no scratches on them, but the guy died.

    Thanks for bringing this out and giving more info on how these kids are being so reckless! I don't feel that your glorifying these actions, I appreciate you actually asking them the questions that we've all been wanting to know. We're sick of this as a community and somebody needs to bring this into a brighter light! THANK YOU TOMMY, GREAT JOB!! AND KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

      He definitely is glorifying them. Just listen to the way he talks them up throughout the whole video. Saying stupid shit like "Kia boys doin work".
      He talks about them like he's scared they might do something to him if they don't like the video and that's pathetic coming from a grown ass man trying to be a "journalist".
      Just listen to the blatant disregard he has for the safety of these people while he's still talking to them! He's treating this like it's a joke!

      @@Ezey420 I applaud him for going out and even talking to them. He didn't have any security with him and to be honest, anything could've happened to him in that neighborhood so if he had to play it up like they were cool, I don't blame him. He has to be concerned with his safety. I don't see any other news outlets getting info from these boys. They let us know That they have no regard for anyone's life, not even their own, they told him that not anybody else I'm glad to know that, know that I need to get out their way cuz they don't care about hitting me or my car, now I know for sure based on his story. He said and did what he needed to do to get the story and info out there, that's why i don't feel he was glorifying this mess. He was just getting the info out to us.

      @@Ezey420 To be fair, I don't think you get much footage or cooperation from these guys to get to the underbelly of what's really happening here unless you give them some form of positive feedback. They've got to feel like you're just some wild observer as opposed to someone who's here to report and criticize them in order to actually get this level of rapport. This isn't really glorification, because if it were, we wouldn't see him interviewing people that've been directly impacted by this shit and how it's affected their lives.

    I'd love to sit and hear stories from the guy with the puma hat. This dude seems like he has seen a whole lot of things.
