@@shanes1221 Why so negative, I'm sure they can. Sure they are use to the life they are living but, that doesn't mean all with fail at life. Some companies won't even higher a black man because of their employers hidden racism. Enjoyed listening to him. He has good life stories.
Fr homie is glowing
We need both sides. Because it’s people who sit behind computers in the suburbs who act like this is a game and this is entertainment to them. So if we shed light on these environments more people can see it as wrong instead of entertainment and maybe potentially put more resources into these neighborhoods so that the cycle can die down. I’m from detroit. Detroit is the largest city in Michigan but suburb schools are funded more. You can’t even bring home books from school and they expect people to take their study’s seriously when you can’t even read out of a textbook at home. Shit like that matters to what goes on in the hood. But people who aren’t close to the hood won’t even know that and would just think people just wanna do bad. When In reality everyone just wants to take care of the people they care about even if they go about it in the wrong way.

Being a father makes me look at these videos so much differently. I wonder what these young men would be like if they had two loving parents and had never been exposed to that life. They may very well have loving parents, I don't know.
Most of them are still kids and they're living the life of actual soldiers. Always having to be on standby, ready for a battle.
Look at all the school shooters, drug addicts, killers, majority of them had a mom and dad and loving home
@scursion07
They are no ready for nothing not because they are young but because most gangsters arent..
Not always is cause the fam, sonethimes just the place is thought, In México u can se dat, loads os good workers parents but still boys trynna take them out the hood, some thimes doin some cartel shit
I agree with this and another comment about it not always being the parents. They’re all a product of their environment and it’s make glad that my family moved from bk when we got the chance. Me and my brothers would’ve probably ended up exactly like this. Don’t get me wrong, we still grew up in this environment but it was from a distance and it was during a time big homies were fully grown men with life experience. I do think a lot of these boys would’ve turned out different if they hadn’t grown up there.
Don’t compare these low life thugs to soldiers. Fool what’s wrong with you?
You can tell they respect you by the fact they were willing to give you a gun. Shows a lot of trust for someone to do that especially in the hood.
That's stupidity. Unless you're my father or brother I won't be handing you my self defense weapon.
Tommy we respect you for going into these hoods… documenting raw footage. Your channel is authentic

This makes me sad. They don’t even seem like genuinely awful kids, especially the boy with the bape shirt, they just are a product of their environment. Seeing someone get shot at 11? I'm 87 born but 90s raised me .. coming up in my generation, we came up wit start of internet as we know it ..dial up AOL and all that shit .. til myspace and social media got big .. every single trend that you'd see around the country ALL started in one of the hoods somewhere in NYC, Cali, Miami or a few other cities .. like ATL an southern citices after social media blew up ...
Now with social media ... All the trends still start in hoods across America, eventually spread to suburbs bordering the hood Nd then far into the counties etc ...
American hood culture is talked about so straig up negatively by media but the US hood culture and Trends is one of the biggest and most valuable exports ... And none of the kids who start these trends get 0 profit out of it ...

Hey Tommy, I love this video and that you left it on a positive note with Darryl Cobb. Watching those young kids from East St Louis brings back memories. I assure you and anyone reading this that lifestyle is nothing but one of pain and short-lived. This is not a long-term lifestyle and one that will not get anyone anywhere successfully. My father passed away when I was young and I grew up hanging out with kids like that and got blessed to be able to get the hell out of that situation. Most of those people I once hang out with are either dead, in jail or probably homeless. My experience is most of these kids, like myself and those who I once associated myself with do not have fathers or role models. Getting them out of these environments and putting them around positive people, role models, and showing them what possible can is really… make a huge difference.

What does you being single have anything to do with you feeling safe? lol
@Dr Dumbo There is safety in numbers. I have no problem dashing by myself, but when I run into other dashers there are usually two or more riding around. Being by myself makes me an easy target for crime if it were to happen, being a solo female driver in a city with one of the highest rates of violent crime, murder, and carjacking is taking a risk. I love the city, and I meet good people everywhere I go, but when my card gets pulled that's it. Thankfully, I've had nothing but kindness on the streets from all kinds of people.
@Fat Mac You are so correct. I meet some of the best people out on the streets in St. Louis. The diversity is there, but the opportunities are not a given. We have kids from out of state that pay just under $50,000 a year for SLU, just under $60,000 for WASH U, before room and board, but kids that grew up on these streets don't have the same opportunity. Income inequality will always be the bigest disadvantage to overcome. We need to support our communities and have more positive role models. This all starts at home, on these streets, with kids like these. Their confidence and talent are amazing, and I sincerely hope to run across one of them in one of those big fancy houses one day. Prayers for the city indeed.
crazy how esco jamn and cts luh wick are beefing and dissing each other now
Amazing video man! I feel for those kids. I wish they could understand there’s more to life than that neighborhood.
Those guns looked fake kids should have showed the clips
The White kid just got arrested for 1st degree murder so he will be out of that neighborhood in some rural Missouri prison for a while.
@@wolfgreen8283 yea fake 🤦🏽♀️
@@youngkidz8993 without a doubt
@@wolfgreen8283 I’m sure you can just buy fake binary’s and 9 Millie’s and then bring fake guns to the north stl okay broski
You said it real well. These guys have good hearts towards the people. Its just scary to see the condition of the world and cultures that people grow up with to the point where its a norm.I pray for the best for them and much love to them and the world.❤s/o to you man

“Everybody got the same 24 hours you just gotta use it wisely” that’s actually so true

@@kaliking8628this 5 months ago gang
what happens if he gets mistaken for a gang member
@@siahnicholas4596 Or if he's interviewing some gang members with guns like here and they don't have good trigger discipline and they don't keep their finger off the trigger and the gun accidentally goes off, he( or even the cameraman) could get injured or killed.
In the military and law enforcement communities, there's different names for when something like that happens like ''Accidental Discharge'' and ''Negligent Discharge''. It's a real thing and the one dude was waving the gun around like a tennis racket and even pointing it at the camera very briefly( but I was watching his hands the whole time and he had his finger off the trigger, so that was good trigger discipline) , so something could easily go wrong unintentionally and accidentally.
What’s sad is that these poor kids won’t make 25

Tommy: Are you proud to be American?
Random 🥷 in background: IM AFRICAN 😂😂😂😂😂😂
St.Louis is a place where my people are literally trapped in. Surrounded by nothing but woods, you have to have a car to get outta there. If life gets hard in big cities, I know for sure places like St.Louis and Milwaukee get stressful.
Drugs are the only escape sometimes.
You can tell by the things these kids want, that they don’t value their life too much.
I used to be the same way, and only have a different view because I’ve been able to see better.
Tommy stay safe and keep it up. Amazing to hear you're gonna have kids. You're gonna be a great dad and we need more smart and compassionate people in this world like you. My first one is due this week. Love you buddy. Send Ben my best. - Billy b
As someone who lives close to St. Louis it’s scary just to go there to shop at the malls, my family went to a monster jam there once and a parking lot building right next to where we were parked literally all the cars got robbed
I heard an interview that Tommy G did on a local radio station in Milwaukee. The interviewer was one of these self righteous know it all types. Tommy G did an amazing job standing up to this guy. That's what made me a fan. I do hope you stay safe though. If you are ever up in central Wisconsin I might be able to get you an interview with some Amish. I can't guarantee that but I could certainly ask.
I would love to hear the interview. Link?
I seriously cannot stand them nonchalantly pointing firearms at each other, I'm not even a gun owner and it irks me beyond belief
Yeah I was cringing at that hard.
No gun discipline
yea the founding fathers would have worded the entire constitution differently just from this one video no doubt lol
@@Raindrops4891 LMAO
I mean they obviously kno how to use them
Not all of us in the STL be actin like this though. These are kids who have been raised to not know anything else. Unfortunately there are too many kids and young adults who find themselves in this position in this city. I went to school in the city and it definitely toughens you up, but the kids that didn’t have a supportive family are usually the one’s getting raised from the streets. poverty and violence is not an easy life.
Duh not you you about 46
@@tj._.0064 that’s exactly how I know about this city. With age comes experience. I was young an dumb once too, everybody is. But once you’ve seen things, you get educated in life experiences of all kinds. So yea baby, I’m 48, thanx for the compliment♥️
@@aprildedert9510 what you said is spot on these kids ain’t experienced nothing else

Hello. Thanks for sharing! Go to the tunnels in Las Vegas!
I love how you take your time out of your day to make us happy by going every where we ask
The fact that these kids really just need guidance, they’re nothing like how they’re portrayed these kids are really smart
Yes!!!!
Blacks
To be fair isn’t it kids like these that are part of the problem?
@Enoch Bullslayer nah they got heart though and you can tell they know what’s up.
They’re nonchalantly pointinv guns at the camera with their fingers on the trigger and you call that smart?
Take care of yourself Tommy. Appreciate you asking these kids about their dreams and interviewing to understand without judgement
This video is the reason I listen to cts luh wick n T4 everyday 🤝🤝
“We ain’t even have a kitchen in my last house. Straight like dat.” 💀💀
I love seeing Tommy and Brandon post. My two favorite dudes
The house I once owned is on Ruskin avenue and featured in this video. It's truly a sad thing to see these young brothers and the direction they're heading and my old neighborhood. I drove through this past June while shooting a scene for a film I was directing in that area. No judgment but they brothers could be soo much more. I want to direct a film/video with them and not have them be something they aren't but show them what they actually could be!!!!!
luh wick fresh out and dropping heat already
5:10 that’s a smart choice imo bc from all the stories I’ve read journalism is fun a job until it’s not and that’s usually when y’all go into a place or city or country somewhere like that that’s known for violence or kidnapping or high murder rate
The guy at the end is a amazing person. You can sense that from him.I never met him. He changed his lifestyle which shows its possible for anyone...Good videos man
The risks that you go through just for entertaining us. Big ups. Gotta be really really careful wit what u say. You good at yo job
