I’m behind this 1000%! I don’t think I’ve seen a single one of these Disney live action remakes. Well, unless we count that live action 101 Dalmatians from the 90’s.
I never planned on watching this movie. I have given up on Disney for the most part. They've lost their way and seem scared to try anything new on the big screen.

The only bad thing I have to say against the Mufasa movie is all the crappy agenda Disney put in there. It has literally warped peoples minds by having them hate Mufasa and feeling sorry for poor left behind Taka.
The last movie I saw in theaters was Solo. I'm probably never going again. I never want to see another theater movie, I'm bored. But i did build an OUTSTANDING theater in my basement, and i watch LOST reruns. Definitely not seeing another sequel or prequel. Not even streaming. But GREAT Mickey impersonation, though.
I recommend watching Cinderella (2015). It's arguably the only good live action remake i've watched from Disney that's faithful to, if not better than the original. Also, no girlboss trope, no identity politics, no modern feminist messages.
That was really good. I saw with my daughter a few years bad and I was surprised how enjoyable it was. Then we watched Ella Enchanted & that was a truly painful experience for me
Ahh the good old days. Women's only goal is to get married to a rich guy. Her goal is get married, don't control your own destiny. No identity politics. Everybody should be white like they're supposed to be! Although how come THAT'S not identity politics?Maybe that's because it's YOUR identity. And who wants their daughter to feel like she can do whatever she wants right? Is it ok for Adam's daughter to have her own channel or should she go the pre feminist route and sit around and hope a rich dude picks her? Singing one day my prince will come?
I don't plan on seeing it either , though maybe I will if somebody insist me. On one hand I have some curiosity cause it is a "new" story but on the other hand it being a prequel it is to me the nail of the coffin. I already dislike they changing 2D animation for realistic 3D. But they "explaining" how Scar became evil, I think that will be probably even worse. The original film gave me enough. He was a bitchy brother that eventually showed a criminal dark side when he found the opportunity. I dont need to see him being a good guy when he was younger or him becoming a villain for any forced reasons. I dont even know if that was the idea in the original but I am not even that happy about the retconning of Mufasa and Scar not being real brothers. I have never watched The Lion King 2 or The Lion King 1/2 but I have seen parts in UA-cam and you know what? they seemed like some of the most decent direct to video sequels. At this point I think I would pay money happier to watch one of those direct to video 2d sequels at cinemas rather than the live action prequel.
I think Disney should start making hand drawn animated movies again, so those of us who don't want live action can see their hand drawn movies combo with whenever Pixar pumps out good movies.
i want you to review mufasa adam. it's free for you with your membership anyways. that said i will never ever watch another disney remake. but watching you rant about it is pretty entertaining
Free, in a sense. I still have to spend almost 4 hours between driving there, watching trailers and the movie. Plus, I just know I'll hate it so what's the point? That said, when it hits Disney+, maybe I'll give it a watch/review. A lot less commitment.
Couldn’t agree with you more! And to make Mufasa 2hrs long, was the nail in the coffin that I never planned on opening. PS: I didn’t see the last lion king either (live action) So, you’re not the only one who hasn’t seen it! 😆
Even the so called "Dark Ages" of Disney, had effort, and I've come to appreciate the movies of that time more and more since they scared me a little when I was younger. Black Caldron and Great Mouse Detective and others that aren't held in the same regard as the Classics and Rennaissance eras are Infinitely better than the majority of the drivel they have been spilling out.
Loved Mufasa. It was beautiful and the story was charming and the music was great. Kids loved it too. I never thought enjoying movies would be so difficult for so many people - watching grown people bash on a children's movies as if it owes them something.
They are threatening Tangled and I prey they don’t. My daughter and I watch it together, and I don’t want to see a remake where it’s all the Kings fault. So I’m not watching Mufasa or any other
I never jumped on the live action hype train. I think the introduction of the first two panned out because television has trained American people that animation is for children and live action is for adults. But people are waking up and smelling the crap that is being pushed and shoved every time.

Don’t give them your money
I prefer to watch Baby John instead of Mufasa😂😂
Never saw the "live-action" remake. If I wanna see a live-action talking animal movie I'll just watch Milo & Otis. 🐕🐈
Taran and black goldron ( ?) would be pure horror with the horn king
A live action Toy Story is coming, you just wait & see!!! Then live actions for ALL of Pixar's catalog!!!! Mwahaha
What? No.
Pixar already said NO to live-action remakes.
Nice Law & Order SVU reference there Adam 😂
Loved Mufasa. It was beautiful and the story was charming and the music was great. Kids loved it too. I never thought enjoying movies would be so difficult for so many people - watching grown people bash on a children's movies as if it owes them something.
They are threatening Tangled and I prey they don’t. My daughter and I watch it together, and I don’t want to see a remake where it’s all the Kings fault. So I’m not watching Mufasa or any other
@adamdoesmovies Thoughts on the live action 101 Dalmatians from 1996?
I actually like that one. The forced romance is the worst part but Glenn Close absolutely steals the show!
I never jumped on the live action hype train. I think the introduction of the first two panned out because television has trained American people that animation is for children and live action is for adults.
But people are waking up and smelling the crap that is being pushed and shoved every time.
😅 lol I Absolutely 💯 Love this Guy ❤. Keep up the Great Qork and Entertainment Adam me and you would get along Great we have the same Humor i love it brother. Would love to watch an Action movie with you come out and do Blast Noises Gush gush gsuh gush 😂.
