You really should not watch Tool's videos on your first listen because they will distract you from the music. :) Just take the audio or lyrics video if one can be found and let yourself sink into the musical experience. And keep spiralling out! :) Soon you can start to dig into Porcupine Tree (Hatesong live is good starting point), Haken (Visions, l1ve - long but very good) and then Opeth (Sorceress live from Red Rocs and then Ghost of Perdition, also live from Red Rocs). :D
