Spot on with the Trevor Lawrence analysis, but just lazy journalism to suggest Doug Pederson is on the hot seat. The Jags have finished plus .500 in his 2 years as the HC. The only two people on the hot seat are Press Taylor and Trent Baalke ✅
WHY would Trent Baalke be on the Hot Seat? His FA picks turned us around from 3-14 to 9-8...he has been GM for 3 yrs and we went from WORST team in league...to legit Playoff Contender/Division Winner...Baalke has done a very good job.
@@leevancleef358if the draft picks beyond round 1 don't produce in combination with a bad season then Baalke could be gone. Throwing money at free agents (which he's good at) isn't sustainable... And definitely not acceptable if it doesn't result in wins. The back-to-back winning seasons could be attributed to TLaw and Pederson... In spite of Baalke
@@DUUUVALJAGS NAH...Baalke in 2021 signed Rayshawn Jenkins Marvin Jones Jamal Agnew Roy Robertson Harris then drafted Trevor ,Travis, Tyson Camp, Walker Little, Andre Cisco..Then 2022 signed FA Foye, Kirk, Zay Jones, Evan Engram, and Darious Williams...and then drafted Travon, Devin Lloyd...that is some GREAT work...if you gonna HATE you gotta give him credit...those guys were ALL GOOD players for us and are the REASON why we went from WORST to 9-8...if anything Doug's LOUSY coaching Hires of Caldwell and Press Taylor as Coordinators have been the problem. WATCH what Nielsen does with SAME GUYS Caldwell had..Caldwell was AWFUL and Press Taylor BLOWS.

@@isaiah904s Nope...Jags fan for 20 years now...I call it like I see it...All these Baalke haters refuse to give him any credit for some REALLY good moves...he has done ALOT of good things here...I call him out on some things too but overall I actually think he has done a HELL of a good job.
Doug Pederson is not the problem for the Jaguars. The biggest problems the Jags have are at the top of the organization. Those two being Baalke and Shad himself. Baalke has routinely been close to, if not the least respected GM in the League ever since his last year or 2 with the 49ers. When Baalke was hired by Shad, head coach hopefuls and other people trying to get jobs on the management side pulled out due to hearing of Baalke's hire. Shad originally had another Head Coach in mind, but the person dropped out as soon as Baalke was hired. If Doug is relieved of his duties before Baalke, that just shows yet again that Shad does not know what he's doing and is blind to the elephants in the room that are Baalke and himself.
Doug was not Shad's first choice. Doug was the "best" coach available that could deal with Baalke. Not taking away any of Pederson's accomplishments. The man is a great coach. I'm simply stating facts here. Until Shad relieves Baalke of his duties and gets a legit GM who can Draft and is good with contracts, the Jags are going to suffer because of Baalke staying.
The majority of FAs don't want to come to Jacksonville because of Baalke and Shad. The ones that do are getting overpaid by the Jags to come there. Their extensions are normally over market value as well for players who don't fit the bill for the amount being given to them. The fans hate Baalke and think of Shad as a clown...openly saying so and constantly using Clown emojiis on Social Media when talking about Shad. Baalke doesn't even get clown faces, the man only gets negative statements from people. (Deservingly so.)
Anyone who tries to place blame at Trevor’s feet, needs to do some research and watch actual tape. Quit stat watching and thinking that tells the full story.

With adj EPA Trevor was a top 3 QB last yr. If he got half the EPA back from dropped passes or blown assignments or poor blocks hes essily top 5 in the league. Its not Trevor. Its not the coaches. Its execution.

That is crazy. The quarterback was injured last season. Continuity is also critical with developing a quarterback vs having to learn a new system.
Plus given his adj EPA. Trevor was top 3 if he got all of his TDs caught, assignments ran properly, line blocking solid. If the team around him committed half the mistakes less Trevor is a top 5 QB easy. But noone is talking about that.

Shad Khan is an inept owner with a track record of failure. Doug Pederson has a Super Bowl ring. I know Khan writes the checks so that makes him the man with the power, but he should really shut up and let the coach do his job.
Wouldn't say inept. Learning would be a better word. He is patient with coaches and GMs. He will give them a fair chance.
But to say he should shut up. He's very hands off. He doesn't get in the way of the coaching or the GM. He can have his opinions. But he keeps them to himself. He has never gotten out of his lane unless he absolutely had to (Urban Myer).
