Hello sir, your video was very true. I was good in academics in School and College and passed with good grades. Posting my comments for the fellow seafarer who are in tough phase 1. When I joined my first ship as Cadet, I was under the opinion I can pick up things and learn very fast but on the contrary I went through a roller coaster ride because of bad captain and crew. Reason: I didn't know hindi that time ( Language barrier) Since my chief officer was a very good mentor, I overcome my barrier and belief and excelled in my second ship. 2. When I was promoted onboard as second officer my Chief mate and third mate didn't like cos of jealous and continuously demotivating me. I got my captain as a good mentor and he guided me in the right path. 3. When I joined as a Chief mate in Chemical tanker (previously did as a mate on product tanker) master didn't like a new chemical tanker mate and he arranged for my sign off without my knowledge within 7 days. I self motivated me and kept my positive belief and now i have completed 4 chemical tankers as mate. whatever tough phase you undergo stay positive and have good belief, things will definitely change and it will show your real potential and ability.
Wow, you are in inspiration for all. I have also noticed that you will always have someone who will support you during such times. When the whole ship or office is against you, there will always be someone who will mentor and support. Cheers
