I’ve never been so happy seeing a character get slapped since Tyrion slapped Joffrey
Lmao yes
i absolutely hated this scene, i felt so bad for her and the bear.
But aren't you satisfied she slapped Peter?
Same when the bear died I was like 😱
Bear sometimes being a representative of Russia and him shooting it and murdering it I believe that slap was not only because she felt sorry for the animal but because she associated it which the country he was slowly destroying.
She was from German, so put this bear-patriot shit somwhere else :)
@@pabloreis1364 if u watched the series, she says that in her heart she is russian. thats why she became known as catherine THE GREAT as a result of her efforts that made russia a great european power.
Yes, quite probable. Also, at she was cuddling the bear in the same moment; 1. It was rude against her. 2. She was very near the bear, so it was a real danger for her. IF he missed, SHE could get the bullet into herself. If the shot wasnt exactly precise, and the bear got just severely wounded (verry probable), the risk was big the bear in its mortal pain and death convulsions, would hurt her... She was here in a as great a danger as many soldiers on a battlefield!!! Definitely a bigger danger than a typical commander in chief on a battlefield.... So Peter sat his wife and the russian empress to a mortal danger. Not because it was necessary, but for a drunken fun during a feast...
@@pabloreis1364 both she and Emperor Peter were foreign, but the difference between the two is that Catherine immersed herself in Russian culture (converting to the Orthodox faith, dedicating herself to the study of Russian language and culture, etc.) while Peter remained pretty German throughout the duration of his life. This helped her politically when she decided to become a reigning empress in her own right.
@@pabloreis1364 Is that why she ended up ruling Russia, you idiot?
From princess Aurora to empress Catherine , Elle fanning
you know what i like about this scene. usually peter is a lot more aggressive when someone does something he doesn’t like. he doesn’t hold back, but when catherine ever does anything, he does. maybe he held back here because of shock. idk, i just noticed this and i thought it was endearing?
Well she did punch her un the stomach after ahd threatened her.
Didn’t he punch her after?
He was probs really shocked anyone would do something like that to him outright and was momentarily shocked he later thudded her one in the gut so yeah 😭I don’t think he had a soft spot for her at this point later on he does
he punched her in the stomach like ten minutes after this
Speaking as a man I must admit that was a much deserved slap. After reading some about Peter I's life online and watching this scene it should be painfully obvious he was most definitely unfit to rule. I can understand why Catherine eventually overthrew him and took the throne.
@Remy Chiswell Some women who view all men as the same would think a man would disagree with another man being slapped by a woman. I do not disagree if the slap is deserved.
But her husband was Peter the 3. Peter the first, or the great is known as one of the greatest rulers of Russia
@@user-hr5hq7nz5f Apologies...you are correct. For some reason I got this Peter mixed up with his father.
@@user-hr5hq7nz5f I think the peter in this series is peter the great of russia cause peter the great of russia have a two wife it's eudoxia (1689-1698) and catherine I of russia (1712-1725) if you'll search it. And peter III of russia have only one wife and it's catherine the great
Why are the comments for this series filled with men and their manly opinions? Not only did he deserve the slap. He deserved the guillotine.
"Sorry Sergei."
A simple sorry wouldn't suffice for a guy you just shot in the thigh who now can't walk since his other leg has also been injured before lol.

It’s called humor.
@@outdoorminer5533 you're not fr are you
Oh the big bear😢
Yes, they spared us some graphic scenes. Such a big bear wouldnt die at once from a pistol shot, even if the shot was aimed to the heart. So in reality, there would be quite a some long dying...
I feel sad for the Bear he was so cute
this is my favorite scene ❤️ he look so funny when she slapped him and he deserve it 😂
I guess all girls have that secret desire to slap a guy across the face😁
@@federeragent that's kinda right 😂
@Valentina Gaviria it from episode 1
Why would anyone wear a wig as a hat? That’s just weird........
Back then Russian women didn’t know parisians were using them as wigs
Only 18th century woman in Russia.
@@Shaggygoingscoob really? I mean did they really wear wigs as hats back then
There was a time, I don't know what century, where many people had syphilis and it caused their hair to fall out so they started wearing wigs and it became a trend.
Peter is an interesting character.
But I feel so bad for the bear, go Catherine!
That was a good slap indeed.
Love how they used a camel sound for when the bear gets shot
Catherine: I LIKE YO CUT G
Peter: AAAAAAAA
Poor Bear :(
They should create a big brother just for the members of this palace. All the day watching Catherine/Peter.
That poor bear. :(
This whole show is very Alice in Wonderland
True
I would have gouged his eyes out for shooting that poor thing
Ur all talk or a psycho lmao
if I had such an idiotic husband, I think I would stop being married to become a widow
Have you watched the series?
That My Girl Now she Got'it a Heart of her Pet Bear she Love now she got 'it Good'!
I love catherine, she wil literally not take shit from anyone
I’m an animal lover and I know this is just a show but I would’ve done MUCH more to Peter for killing that poor Bear if I could.
this scene does such an amazing job of captivating Peter’s chaotic ruling of Russia
rip sergei
I highly doubt that an 18th century muzzleloader would have killed a bear with one shot.
Would elite women really do that? Mix their hand servants blood with cream for a blush? That’s awful
Absolutely not lol, it’s just for drama
@@maried.4980 they also used fallen soldiers teeth for dentures and masters did the same to their living slaves. You shouldn't underestimate the depravity of people, especially those in a position of power
In the states (and I'm sure other places) people would use their slaves blood for things like that and that was much more recent time than when the show takes place.
@@cosmicramen6397 Not “people.” One woman was famous for doing something like that.
@@Sam-nz3vj Nope sorry Google is free buddy
wth the bear was so cute
0:09 Lmao
Big Bear
Peter iii sure was a brat 🙄🤣 he earned that slap from Catherine the great
Why is no one talking about Sergei
Their wigs being used as hats🤡
Shouldn't play with firearms.
1:15 poor man
2:00 2:01 poor bear !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the black dude was gannibal...
An ancestor to Pushkin, the renown writer, whom had black granddad, or such.
Gannibal is not the only Black Russian/German aristocrats, there are many more such as Pushkin and Pletnyov.
Seem like it.
Ma Cetherine e Peter si innamorano?
no
Mmh più o meno
Ma nella 2 stagione
Did anyone see those black nobles or am I just going woke?
The show has a bunch of historical inaccuracies (on purpose) but people only notice the non-white cast members. How interesting.
@@anono1432 kind of hard not to considering how much they really stick out.
@@joekrebs964 they don’t stick out at all to me but to each person their own.
