The water containment alone is a big improvement from the previous model. I hated how it would soak the whole area and draining the thing was the worst.
I have this same saw. I got mine for about $100 off around Black Friday in 2020. It definitely cuts porcelain cleanly. I wore that stock blade out though. I bought the Ridgid Diamond Mesh blade today. I like that it's a great saw that's not too large or expensive for us DIYers. I don't see me buying another tile saw unless this one dies, but I guess the lifetime warranty will not allow that. I am renovating our small hall bathroom and have mine setup in the bathroom. Perfect.
I've got this thing...love it. Perfect blade size and well made. Stand is kinda wobly when dry but feels nice and solid when filled up with water.
Hello Eddie. Is it possible to cut 24x24 tile diagonally?
@Linson Thomas think its 18in diagonally and 24in rips
Thank you..
love mine! they came out with the 10" with same features 👍.....I've got the BIG Dewalt, but this is my everyday saw🤷♂️👌
Really needs an extender to support long ones.
Only if ridgid would pay this much attention to detail to their power tools.
@fartpoobox ohyeah I have almost every tool ridgid ever made, but I made the switch to milwaukee. I'm not knocking the quality but there intuition on coming out with new tools are lagging..... Hell even roybi tools are surpassing ridgid.
The wheel casters and tray last about 4-5 months before they break and there's ZERO replacement parts... They claim they haven't made them yet even though it's been out a year. I've had 2. Both ruined garbage within 5 months
A lottttttt of movement in the tray
I had the exact same experience. The wheels on the tray broke. Literally all 3 wheels. At the same time. It lasted 7 months of cutting. The same thing happened to the 7" version. Ive gone through two 7inch rigid saws and one 8inch rigid saw. As much I I love them, I cant deal with the tray wheel braking problem. Exact same lroblem on all of them.
I use the smaller one. It’s awesome. Unfortunately it was impossible to register the warranty
Excellent video and demonstration.
thanks! 👊
This saw is a beast, been using it on 8x48
I like that fence!
You are wonderful man thanks for all your fantastic information
My everyday saw for 4 years now… same saw, still going perfect. Paid $449
I got a Kobalt a year and a half ago and wish I had gotten something like this. I’ve spent too much time (and wasted money) having to polish/ sand edges down due to chipping and re cutting tiles because of blade deflection. The more you know.
Looks perfect for what I need
We got this too, it’s sweet for the price. Clean square cuts and I don’t need to baby it.
I own the cheaper rigid without the drop fence that saw is pretty great. I've done over 10000sqft with it. I'm right now working on a 4000sqft floor job and wish I had a larger cutting tray as the plans are 8x48. Thinking I should get this maybe.
It's a good saw! Little loud is all
Need to do a review on the new 10” version please
WILL DO
Great saw
Does this machine compete with the likes of the higher end dewalt, rubi, and IQ saws?
Would this be a good replacement for a Dewalt 10" D24000 for commercial use?
Awesome reviewwww
how are those pica waterproof leads to wipe off after a cut off you don't remove the line? I got some on the way to try but I've had bad luck with markers leaving permanent marks on porcelain
Just watched you do some rips, but how about the cross cuts with 4 ft tile. Hows that work.
You'll need a manual tile cutter for that
looks like a decent saw
R4041S is the model number i believe
Can this saw rip 24x48 tile?
I’m curious if it can do a 32x32 10mm porcelain- that’s what I got it for and about to start a remodel this month, hoping I don’t have to return it
I got the 10” saw and the Home Depot app said it has a laser guide but it doesn’t have one. I didn’t notice a laser in this video either.
The button is on the black handle to the right
Hold on…. You never told us how to adjust the laser?
I mostly work on showers, bathroom floors, and back splashes at least once a week. Would you recommend I get this saw or the DeWalt 24000?
Dewalt 2400 is hands down the best all around. This saw is inexpensive and lighter to move around.
Looks like this saw is $599 right now at my homedepot. Would this be the best saw in that price range for a DIYer or is there a better option?
I bought the Kobalt and i love it
This saw is definitely worth $599. It has a higher rip capacity than DeWalts $1200 saw
Is a 32x32 considered a plank tile? I got this to rip that size but not sure if that is a “plank” more of a square tile
Negative, plank is usually 6" x 36"
@@LandbergTileTV can this saw rip a 32x32 in half?
Hi I need to cuts some tiles. Whats the quality of the cuts?
How wide can you cut with this?
Love your videos thank you for all the information. Looking to buy a tile saw, i am an advanced DIYer, would you recommend the 8" Ridgid or the 7" Delta or something else ? Thank you for your help!
I would recommend this saw 100%
@@LandbergTileTV l like the look of this tile cutter but for the amount of tiling l do would prefer something smaller but still has the sliding table, l remember seeing one a year or two ago but can't remember the make and model, any ideas?
Are the tray and fence sold separately??
Everything included. Even a crappy blade
But what’s still the best wet cut saw to use? 😉
🟡Dewalt 36 or 24 🐐🤷♂️
@@Losas.Company stilllll the best?
@@simonstones1918 I think so. My opinion of course but I think so. I wouldn’t be surprised most installers would agree here. Real installers I mean 😎
@@Losas.Company what can I use that doesn’t cost £1000 to buy tho?!
@@simonstones1918 buying used would be best. They all surround that price point. The good ones at least. Delta/rubi/Dewalt/rigid/MK/kobalt
I think that this is a 7" tile saw, not an 8". I could be wrong of course.
This is 8"
@@LandbergTileTV My mistake. Ridgid makes a 7" just like this one. I meant no disrespect.
No table extension is a deal breaker for me
Loved my saw until at about a year old the bearings went out! I’m a handyman so it’s not like I do tile every day! 3-4 bathrooms a year maybe! It’s been fixed and not covered under warranty. Using it for about 2 years for about 6 bathrooms and the bearings is going again! Would not buy another Ridgid! Update 3/15, bearings seized today and saw stopped working completely. Smoke came out of the motor so it may be fried too!
They are a little cheap, but usually have a lifetime warranty if you register it on their website
Oh how i hate the 7 inch version. I am so very happy with the delta cruzer with the gravity stand
👍
This was not a legitimate review all these guys get saws sent to them and they can’t say negative things about them. Notice he did not say he bought it I swear all these guys are selling out to the industry. He used it one time and thinks it’s great not even comparing it to others. There has to be something negative about the saw but I heard nothing looked more like a commercial to me.
I purchased the saw with my own money brother cost me $550.00. I've used it dozens of times and still have it. It's an awesome saw
