I was excited to see this video pop up!! I tried doing eyeshadow over colored nail polish and it didn’t turn out 😂 now I’ll know to try it over a white background instead! I bought the Sistaco system, not sure if you’ve heard about it or seen it, but totally not worth the money I spent and their customer service really deterred me from ordering from them again 😢

I was thinking of trying this with some micas that I have from when I made soap. I don't have any eye shadow and if I did it would have been only purples LOL. It looked great

So I found that the top coat flaked off really easily after trying eye shadow instead of regular nail powder? Maybe the eye shadow was too slick and the top coat didn't have anything to grip to? And no matter how even I got the shadow on the nail, once I out a top coat on I had little spots where it looked like the shadow didn't get on the base color. Idkkkk
I found the cheaper eyeshadows work better for chroming. Not as many oils maybe?

Would this work using dip powder activator and top coats?
I have only figured out how to chrome with gel top coat but yes you can use dip in place of eyeshadow
i’m sorry, but the finish is SO far from chrome :/ maybe this eyeshadow wasn’t the best choice, it’s only giving your nail a color with a bit of pearly-silky shimmer, which is fine, but it looks nothing like chrome.
Is it possible to chrome with just a dip powder process? 🥹
Unfortunately not any process I have found 😔
