Just a heads up about loading filament manually on your mini; you don't even need to go through the menu. You can just insert the filament into the printhead, squeeze the extruder tension lever on the left, and you'll feel the filament fall into place. Any purging is done at the start of the next print. Holding the camera is fine for vlog style videos. Congrats on your success! 🍻
I'll definitely try out that filament loading method next time. I’ve done it that way with the creality printers but got used to hitting load. It does take quite a bit of time though with how little it purges each time you hit retry. Thanks for sharing and i appreciate your input on the camera!
@TheMountainMaker Yeah waiting for all the heating up and purging got old for me pretty quick. I use my mini with an AMS lite most of the time, but when I'm doing prints from the external spool it saves a lot of time.
I just got the UPS’s setup so now all the Bambu Lab machines are running through them to be on the safe side. Previously they were all direct to the wall outlet
There's a ton of great stuff you can make and the internet is your oyster! There are a lot of websites that have tons of free files and paid files, just have a look around and see what catches your eye! I have a video where i go through and show you where i find some of my files, both paid and free and you can check that out here if you haven't already, ua-cam.com/video/yqYSqaRx-y0/v-deo.html&lc=Ugxcrys3m--TSh8DrS14AaABAg
I like the approach to holding the phone but maybe get a small gimbal to smooth out the shaking. DJI has some awesome gimbals for relatively little money, like the Osmo Mobile 6. Plus you can use it for making awesome close up shots and the gimbal will stay locked onto any point you select so you can pan and tilt with ease. Plus a gimbal is very easy to store compared to a tripod and it is significantly more useful in my opinion. Keep up the vlogs! I love the day-in-the-life style videos. It is quite refreshing to see this type of video on UA-cam since most videos now are overly polished to me.
Doesn’t always work as it’s intended too. I had a failure the other day and one of the a1 minis recovered successfully and the other 2 did not and ruined 6 hours of prints each. Also, The P1P doesn’t have power failure recovery option so it’s definitely necessary for that one
A UPS will often deliver cleaner power than the wall socket, which can be pretty noisy, and it will help cover for brown-outs or short-lasting power drops.
Plus the eight minutes is when it’s drawing a lot of power these printers don’t constantly heat to that level so therefore it won’t only be eight minutes.
I get that every now and again if i have too much humidity in the shop or moisture in my filament. Could try throwing it in a dryer and see if that helps at all
re: UPSes. Lead acid is dead IMO. You can pick up an Ecoflow or similar 700WH LifePO4 "electric generator" for a few hundred bucks that will run a P1P for 3+hrs. LifePO4 also lasts for thousands of cycles and 10+ years. It's basically a no-brainer for me and will never buy a lead acid UPS again.
I’ve been looking into that. I’ll have to do some more research on it because my biggest concern is a power surge or short power outage that stops the prints and with the UPS, it takes over instantly so they keep on printing with no failure. Can the ecoflow do the same in the event of a power outage and switch back to line power when it comes back on, or is it essentially running off the ecoflow thats running off the wall? I suppose either way works as long as it works everytime.
Except when the printers resume print function doesn't actually work properly and crashes into the part, or for the P1P/P1S, they don't have that ability. The power issues ive had here are either windy weather related, or just random surges that happen every now and again that are just long enough to shut the power off then it comes right back on, as it did in the last video when I setup the UPS's. With that said, someone else recommended Ecoflow as an alternative and I will be looking into that as the larger power output would come in handy for those extended outages. These were more of a power just flickered again, im sick of not having an emergency backup of some sort, and could get them within the hour.
This is approach is good
Thanks. I appreciate that
love those bernese mountain dog prints. we got a bernese mix and hes the absolute best dog
They are so cute! My cousin has one and he's so fluffy looking!
I like holding the camera.
I appreciate the feedback! I enjoy it more holding the camera as well!
@ I think that’s the move.

Thanks for some great tips and I'm looking forward to your Etsy video.
Glad you’re enjoying the videos! Thanks for the support!
I have a few printers now but plug them directly into an outlet. Do you have all your printers powered through a UPS?

Definitely waiting to see the photos video!
You got it! I am hoping to have it up later this week.
I just bought a Bambu A1 Ams and have no idea what to make what it . Any help would be appreciated .

Thanks for the input! I actually just order one of them and should have it in the next week or so!
Where did you get the Bernese mtn dog file? I would love to print it for my kids.
It is from Kekreations on Thangs. I have a link to it in another video but will throw it in the description as well when i get a moment
Just thought I would let you know the link to the 4x6 thermal shipping labels is not correct. It sends you to padded mailers.
I will get that fixed! Thanks for catching that!
The Bambu printers recall start points after a power failure. Why UPS? To save 8 minutes?

Awesome! Thanks for the reply! Sounds like what I’m looking for!
Can you put a link if your etsy store in a reply on my comment
If you have real power isues ups are useless, this is just waste of money, especially with new printers that have resume printing...
