Seems a strange choice to make choosing a faction purely cosmetic or ‘soft benefit’ kind of ruins the law, think of the game play scenarios by actually caring about who you engage with or imagine your struggling in a fight and a random faction member can help, this will separate it from a tarkov copy and actually bring in unique experiences which is what new games should be striving for
Actually, I can get behind this, it is nice to have a genuine reason to chose a faction bar just the aesthetic side of things.
Funnily enough, Tarkov does have that mechanic, but only when it comes to Scav Runs.
@@Yorickkinda yeah and if you don’t care about factions just pick the other two and let rip 😂, imagine faction call signs over voip or being paid to do be a mercenary for the peoples faction or contracts to disrupt the other factions, seems like a wasted opportunity to me 👍🏻
@@102shawj I think it would be cool if there was a way to specifically align yourself with one of the NPC factions, maybe through a special quest line.
I know for me, having choice is what matters and having a choice to not align yourself with one of the military units is something that I would love to see
@@Yorickkinda yeah same or at least make you swap factions after a week, month, or the next season to keep the factions balanced and you can still dip your toe into the independent factions ones to switch it up

I really want to try out Fenix but I’m probably going to settle with ghost’s
The Fenix will be like the Scav’s in tarkov, where they aren’t a regular faction, but one you can raid with every now and then
@@Yorickkinda I really hope that the scavs don’t attack you if you choose fenix and other people who choose the same faction are considered “friendly”

I would choose the volk but I don’t know if they are really good or not to me it feels like ghost of tabor is more then just a raiding and looting game is more like conquest all out war for full control of tabor?
