@@HypaGames im trying to trade.me.renault megane 2 from 05 for a 97 auto starlet blue one. There prisyyyy want better fuel economy the renault loves gas
Amazing how it's the same year as your Proton, yet, this 1 has a newer, rounder look. I love the boxy 80s look of the Proton a bit more tho. But boy, the low miles help the value on this one!
Yeah this had silly low miles, my brother found it and I bought it off him. I didn't have it long though, felt guilty using it and it didn't have power steering so was a bit heavy round the corners. It has been stored away again since I sold it apparently. Very strange to be driving something from 1996 which has time warped!
the car really is in a remarkable condition. Just note that the SRS Airbag light does not come on when starting her up, eventough it should for a few seconds and then turn off again
If you can find one that isn't rusty and in good condition that has been looked after I'd say go for it. Great cars very reliable, nice engine etc. Parts shouldn't be a problem not much to go wrong really. I would say one thing, get one with power steering, a lot more fun to drive, steering a bit to heavy at slow speeds without it.
I have a question about this car, I have this kind of car starlet 1996 and I have one question is how much liters this car have? Last time I checked its 30 liters for gas but my father is a mechanic guy and he told me that its more then 30 liters so is 30 liters for gas or more then 30?
75 hp on 900 kg (including 75kg driver and all fluids on board). The P8 (before this P9) has 75 hp on 750 kg (incl.) - it‘s used for slalom-racing in Germany.
Good to hear from you Micheal. She is sleeping in storage as we speak. Wen't to try and start her recently and flat battery so will need jumping next time I go down. Had a little chat with body shop a couple of months ago and planning to have her fully restored sometime next year. They are keen to do a complete showroom restoration 🙂 Will put a video on the channel when the time comes. Really pleased I've kept the car and to have it looking absolutely new again would be fantastic. Cheers!
It's got a nice patina now and with it being outside a few rust spots yes, mostly on archers, little bit on the sills ... nothing major and no welding of course. Paint looks good on video but not quite the same as a showroom red especially on the roof. I'm just thinking it's sentimental and if it's fully done, all rust treated, resprayed, new bumpers ... everything looking mint again then it should survive forever and will be a good story to tell when I am much older haha. 🙂 Doubt many people will be restoring a 1.3 so possibly there will be very few left in mint condition in 10/20 years time.
The engine is sound ... well, its a Toyota at the end of the day. The 4efe hasn't got the legendary status of the 4age or the 2jz, but its a good power plant. Mine took me to well over 180,000 miles, with no issues. I regret the day I (had to) got rid of it. I sold this a while ago now as I thought it was to good to use. Think it went into a collection. Sorry to hear yours got written off, I do like these Starlets but if I was going to buy another it would be with power steering. Was a bit heavy on this but great engine even though I was careful with it due to mileage.
Heyho, I have the same one 😍😍😍 Does somebody knows the colour code ??? My car is still in a very good condition but there are some little areas who need varnishing...
that car belongs in a museum!!!
I've since sold it, hopefully it goes in one.

Wow this is unbelievable!
I was thinking of buying one for every day use. Is that a bit risky? I.e does it come with much problems and are spare parts becoming scarce ?

Is the Escort still in storage?

The Escort isn't too bad bodywork wise or interior wise for its age. Does it just have a few rust spots?

I've seen this same car in real life
Hi do you want to sell it ?
My pride and joy was run of the road by a stolen van. So insurance wrote it off because of the age

You can find the color code on the net. It‘s also on the type plate under the hood near the front window. 👍
