Jim was probably the funniest character in this show. My favorite moment with him is when he starts eating his chair. Him just ripping the armrest off makes me laugh every time.
Jim is one of those friends you knew who on the surface, managed to come into a job that requires nothing, pays the bills and lets him live comfortably. It's absurd and makes you wonder how he got it so easily while you struggle to make a less than modest living in a creative field you care about.
Show takes place of its time, 1999 and Jim's job was dealing with computers too new for old business tycoons. He is also in his 20s so they make him decide in marketing what the "kids" are into.

That was my favorite ep too. :)
Jim's "Ok" resonates with me on a spiritual level.
That’s a beer ticket, man. You give that to a guy at a liquor store, he gives you a lot of beer.
Sign: "NO SMOKING"
Jim: does it anyway 😂
*The job we all want:*
*The actual job we probably have:* 😢

Jim was a talented and did hi-res photoshop batch compositing
Jim is a friend we all need and deserve a true homie when Andy didn't get the job he used his Influence to get him one
So how DID Jim get that job then? Is he just that invaluable? Is he an IT guy or coder?
Could be. That right blend of "invaluable" and "invisible" that secures his job so long as things keep running.

In this episode, he is so valuable that the company was willing to give him a pay raise to cheer him up
He tells the company what the young people are into
That whole show is a time capsule with how you could get jobs in the past and live in a decent space with "low level" work
