Reno, NV Area Railfanning November 2019

On the day of and day after Thanksgiving I got to do a bit of railfanning around the Reno area, Patrick and Verdi to be exact. The first part of the video shows 3 trains I caught at Patrick in a 30 minute span with the last part featuring a train running through Verdi after a recent snowstorm

Awesome video. The best 10 minutes I spent today. Great locations. That part of the country is a railfan's dream. I would love to see your version of The Feather River Route. 👍👍👍👍

Thanks! I really need to get up to the Feather River Canyon soon, amazing scenery up there especially with a drone. I will have some more videos up soon from Donner Pass though, next best thing!

Cool seeing the meet around 1:50 mark. Im assuming the Intermodal had to sit in the hole for the mixed freight to pass. But the more I watch, I think it's the other way around. The intermodal is on the main. Mixed freight had to sit in the hole. He got in with no more than a few cars to spare.

The more I watch, that poor mixed freight had to let the intermodal and Amtrak pass. In the world of train priority, I think it goes 1. Passenger 2. Some Intermodal 3. Ethanol 4. Mixed Freight and lastly 5. Grain Trains.
