I am not really sure about that. Haven't tried that specific tuning on my cittern. It really depends on the string gauges you are using an the scale length of the instrument:)
Thanks a lot, François! I really appreciate it. My cittern is made by a swedish luthier Mats Nordwall. You can find his website if you google Nordwall Instruments. Mine is his "big cittern" model, but he makes different models.
Mine is tuned CFCGC, so a bit different to the quatro, which is tuned in fourths all the way, if i am not mistaken. But my two lowest courses are toned in octaves as well. So there are definitely some similarities ☺
I tune it CFCGC. The strings are double strung like a mandolin. The two lowest C and F are tuned in octaves with a nylon bass string from a classical set. The steel strings i use are thomastik bronze wound and the gauges are 0.13, 0.18,. 0.30, 0.22, 0.30 and a standard E nylon string for the low f and a Hannabach H9 for the low C.
Nice collection on the wall friend!
hehe thanks alot! Though it is filmed in my father's workshop. He is a professional luthier 😄
@@VilladsHoffmann that’s a priceless opportunity for a student. I often think of learning that craft, but it’s hard to know where to even begin.
@@binary132 heh, yea indeed. I also just find it inspiring to play music among so many instruments.

Is it tuned the same as the Quattro of Puerto 🇵🇷 Rico?

@VilladsHoffmann This is because your bazoukki has 10 strings, and the Quattro too.
@@CarlosVazquez-p4c ahh yes, make sense! Would be cool to try one one day
How are you tuning? String gauges please, and is it simply double strung like mandolin?
