I just got tracking for my copy. Finally! I only bought the upgrade pack/new stuff since I didn't want a second copy and was excited about new scenarios. I love the game, but it is definitely difficult to beat in any regular fashion.
That is the Pledge I was going to do, but decided against it. Especially since Colin went all in LOL. This game has a great narrative that unfolds as you play. It is a classic for sure.
Holy moly this is Colin and I am in the midst of recording with this.. I think you don't have to use the Companion app it seems to be working just fine without it

The companion app has the bonus cards in it. You can use one or the other if you got the card packs as part of your pledge. Both together are not required.
Are there any production or printing information on Mystery Tales and Treasure Chest expansion boxes or rules? Like a year or something? I'm curious if they updated any known issues,rules,grammar from previous editions/printings
The treasure chest is 2023 and the tales is 2022 so it might have been gone though and updated but I sadly wouldn’t know what I would be looking for sorry

Hope the games will be sent out soonish :P Love the new approach and hope it makes it more accessible to my game group. I love the game but hate solo ^^
Yes. we have a love hate relation ship with this game in our house. I love it my wife hates it lol!!! sorry to hear about the mixup hopefully you get your game soon!!! Like you I enjoy playing it with friends but not much of a solo game for me but it is great if you are a solo gamer.
I gave my copy of Robinson Crusoe to my daughter and her husband--because it gave me and my game buddy angst!😂 It's a well made game with nice components, but we found it too difficult.
Totally get that. We have the same thing happen here in our house. It brought too much angst for my wife so we moved on from it. There is a time and a place for a difficult game but not an impossible one lol!!!!!
I got my copy delivered last Sat. I also was wondering why one of the mini spaces was empty then I found out I had to special add on the Monkey. I think that the campsite mini is a bit much, cute ,but not necessary even for this game.
@@MeetMeAtTheTable Me neither. I just use something else. Also got one game under my belt and we found the parrot during a random build action card. Still lost the game though.
@@MeetMeAtTheTable During that play my character got a random Build event and for the rest of the game where they could only eat wood, on the scenario where you needed wood.
Have you tried adding in Friday and the Dog? It is your game, rather than remove it from your library because you cant "win", I recommend that you change rules and option in a way that you find it balanced for your play style and group. I think that the whole reason we play board games is to have fun, not solely to win, to check off a win column, have fun in any way you can/need.
Yes I am totally on board making games fun for you, based on your play style. I feel its not about winning it's about the journey in this game. It has been more of a running joke with my wife that we don't play it. I still enjoy it. Super fun.
Great question. In theory all the different components all fit in the Large core box from all of the other boxes. I could be wrong sorry I haven't tried to organize it all yet and Im not sure if the card fit if they are sleeved. You could post that question in Board Game Geek and maybe someone has pictures or can talk you though it. Sorry I'm not much help
Hey Colin, I'm trying to learn and wrap my head around how to play the Terra Mystica automa, and watched your solo playthrough on co op shop. I left a comment for you, but shortly after that I saw your update video asking for comments on old videos to be sent here. Could you kindly refer to that video and my comment? I am wondering whether you shoild have passed at a certain timestamp. The AI automa cards still confuse me
Oh boy I haven't played that since the video!! Likely the best idea would be to ask someone on BGG as those folks play the game all the time. I don't even own the game anymore. So sorry I can't help!!
I think 10 years, 40 episodes are minimum for this game considering there are 5 characters. 2 Years per character minimum to really see the characters, story and town progress. Let's be honest, this is the hot game right now for playthroughs. The March kickstarter is just going to add to the hype. I think you should really focus on this game for quite a while and build a following. No channel has played past a year and a half yet and you do it really well too. Keep going my friend.

love the game but the fulfillment company Portal Games used was terrible -- they didn't use ANY packaging materials on the top of my game (i only ordered collector's edition + book of adventures), and the top of my box got broken. :(

With the exception of the hut, there is nothing this new version improves from the original game. It's all bloat. The discs with face stickers work great. Did this game really warrant minis? If they just sold a small box with the hut, 3d bananas and wood, and a couple more scenarios, i might have considered it. But this is just going to make the game harder to table.
I'm with you. I decided to keep my original copy and just back the book of adventures. Seems like more content than I'd ever need and I'm perfectly happy with the production value on the original game.
This is a ton of stuff for sure. The book and the extra event cards for the pirate, plague and the other one are really good upgrades the rest is really cosmetic and a few game play changes. I can't wait to see those in action.
This was by far the worst crowdfunding campaign ever. Years of delay and still not completed. Lies, super bad communication and still mistakes in the product. The reputation of Portal Games and Ingnazy completely destroyed. You could make a documentary about how not to do it.

Awesome video. The 3 new “game changing decks” are specific to the “companion app” which is needed to be used with each of the 3 decks.

You seam to be missing a shield token(the rounded ones). You have 3 compass ones and one shield where there should be 2 each.
