    That doesn't look anything like the pie I've seen on different websites. This pie he made looks thin and runny.

    I've made this recipe like 10 times, believe it or not the hardest part is the crust. It falls apart and doesnt hold its shape. You cant use a premade crust because it doesnt have the same crispness and flavor. The worst part is that there are several different "official recipes" out there. In the end if you can perfect the crust and find the correct "official recipe" this is the greatest dessert on the planet!!

      its true. I've worked for emerils restaurants for years and there it holds its shape after u slice it. looks nice and firm you can see all the banana slices nice a clean slice, but when u watch Emeril make it, its usually runny lmao

      @@ekimfehc same! And the way he shows how to make it is not how we made it in the restaurant. Not even close.
      He has taped so many versions of it yet none are the same; cooking techniques are important here

    Doesnt look good to me... That pastry cream he poured into the pie shell looks way too runny for being chilled overnight. Looks like he didn't use enough corn starch... A good banana cream pie doesnt need all that extra stuff drizzled on it either.

    Tried this multiple times and the cream comes out more like pudding, it's runny. Any tips to make it more solid?

      Yeah, don't follow this disaster and go look up emerils actual recipe. I've made this recipe from one of his books and from HIS online library and it's a good one.
      This show is about as valuable as the crap you flushed down your toilet this morning.
