I have a flu vaccine every November and I've never had a flu or even a cold for many years now. It really works for me. I've also had Covid 19 every year since the pandemic and I've never gotten Covid infection either.

And you know, house insects like spiders are not venomous nor sting or bite you, Just shove them away gently or just leave them for they help preventing other insects to multiply rapidly. They control the house pests by eating them. Ants are really everywhere but you may prevent them getting into house bu buying some insect ant repellants.
Take vitamin c everyday and d,a,e.if not feeling well, stay in the morning sun at least an hour so you would sweat and take out the ill feeling. That is what I do, am a senior.

Here in the U.S., when the temperature gets up to 26 degrees (C), ants and flies are all over the place. The flies here even bite. Bamboo is considered a weed here. They grow like crazy and when it snows it bends due to the weight of the snow and blocks walkways and roads. What we don't have are cochroaches
Since u have been traveling too long I suggest u ask ur wife to cook nutritious soup w ginseng to boost ur immune system, try not to eat outside food often as it’s not healthy. Take care! God bless!
