you are speaking more fluently in English compared to the first YT video you posted! Definitely we will see a lot of improvement for more years to come! Enjoy your school and family life in the Philippines.
SoKor is smaller than Philippines in terms of land mass thats why houses are nearby schools. In the Philippines there are students living really far without transportation. They just walk their way to school and it gets more difficult, especially when it's raining cause some even have to cross a river.
it really depends where she lives. in Manila, schools are actually closer to each other that you can see different uniforms at noon. Seoul is bigger than Manila but Manila has 2,900+(2.4M enrolled) elementary schools while Seoul only have 600+(2.6M enrolled). so they're basically even.
Your English is a lot better now. All your efforts to learn it are showing. Keep it up! And thanks for the information, the differences were most interesting.
Having been able to experience studying 📚 in different cultures gives you an edge over other students. You've got a lot more going with you, and I can forsee your success in the future. Good luck! And keep up the good work! 😃👍
There's also plenty of buses and taxi in the Philippines BUT the biggest difference is the STRENGHT OF THE RAIN or should I say TPYHOON and also the number of typhoons that go here vs in Korea Korea is hit by like 6-8 Typhoons per year while Philippines is hit by 20-30 typhoons per year at least 5 of those are like category number 5 which is of the strongest level of typhoon lol But in the PH we don't have a hailstorm
It's not the rain, not unless it is really heavy rain and wind as in a typhoon season school will get cancelled. The main reason is the flooding it is really bad in the Philippines and small children will have difficulty walking in them and dangerous too.
it's not just when "it's raining too hard" that classes are suspended in PH. it's usually because it's raining too hard due to a typhoon. ⛈️🌀 PH is a tropical country and experiences large # of typhoons each year.. especially in recent years, due to global warming, typhoons are more frequent and stronger. Classes are suspended since some areas might get flooded and students could get stranded. There's also risk of falling debris due to typhoon winds. And, as mentioned, it might be difficult to get transportation.
Been a decade staying here in korea and lucky to this country,it seems they don't have that typhoon/storm as Philippines suffering every year. There storms is like signal 1and 2 only, unlike in the Philippines that its always be signal 2,3 and more that leads to class suspension. Even earthquake and volcanic eruptions they don't have here in korea.
The reason why they suspend class whenever there's a storm was because Philippines is vulnerable to flooding and in some areas, flooding problem is much worse than other areas. I myself experienced a class suspension when I'm already at school and the flood is like around my waistline as a kid. Glad that's fixed now and children in my area doesn't experience that anymore when it rains
Awesome vid! Lyn!! Hey got a suggestion, how bout do a vid about common korean habits or courtesy like, bowing 30 degrees or letting the older member eat first before you start eating, etc that you're starting to forget since living in the Philippines, then vise versa, common Filipino traits that you gained.
The Philippines and Korea practically have the same grade levels. After finishing Grade 10, which is Junior High School, you still have to take Grade 11 and 12 which is Senior High School. After graduating from Grade 12, or Senior High School, you can now enroll in college.
my generation didnt have have to go thru 12 grades. after 6th grade, it's just 4 years of High school. But since I moved to the US while still in 6th grade, I had to pass through 6-12. :( IMO, 6th grade curriculum in the PI back then was similar to about between 7th and 8th grade in the US.
Actually the classes suspension is depend on the places or school! Because when I was high school, we are still attending classes even the rain are strong and having thunderstorms even the windstorm.
@lovelynn_0422 do some videos reaction that really suits on your study related, I'm not bashing but I'm telling you that do some research or ask someone else who really experienced that kind of situation. But you're really good 😊 keep it up and explore the Philippines, some day you'll see that the Philippines are more different from other countries 🎄❤️ I appreciate your effort to create this vlog ❤️❤️ may God bless you and create more vlog 'cause I already subscribed to your channel
I love that you have filipino english accent + a little bit of korean accent. Your enunciation is very clear. That is actually good because filipino english accent is neutral. You will easily adapt a new accent, say, if you move to America. Good job!
Some universities in Australia do NOT require English Test for those who graduated from Philippine universities. ❤ However, for international students from most Asian countries, Australian universities require English test for admission. 😏
The reason why most of the time class are suspended on PH is because of how strong typhoons and storms can be on PH. Not to mention the almost unpredictable nature of such storms and typhoon can be on the region, it can either become much stronger than anticipated or less when it hits land - contributing to either strong winds and floods. PH is literally in the heart of a calamity zone region - both for volcanos and storms, since it's in the ring of fire and the pacific ocean is just smack to its east side. Other countries like S. Korea has a good region where they will not experience the harsh super typhoons PH have, and also, unfortunately PH also has a less stellar road and flood infrastructures than most more 1st world countries. But then again, Filipinos becomes one of the most resilient people in the world because of all these things. As they say, the strongest sword can only be forge by a blacksmith by trials and error and undergoing intense heat, which can be said about majority of filipinos.
Hi Lyn..!nice to see and hear you once again..like what you have said, transportation here is visible in any kinds as for the students..as for the school cultures there are some prestigious schools that follows their mater in uniform internationally..but when school is manage by Catholic e.g.(nun,priest),students like girls are prohibited to wear uniform that bares their knees,it must be covered..during my high school days I was at the Catholic school for boys only..girls school are at distant place..means boys are separated to girls that made us in boredom..we only see them at free times after school..😂🤣
@@lovelynn_0422 I don't think it's goodto spend your senior high in another school. Very few spend their last year at a school not familair to them. You'll be meeting classmates for the first time and the environment won't be the same. I suggest that you complete your senior high where you are right now then go another city for your college.
In our school before, it's not a catholic school and it's public but we are not allowed to have piercing, no short skirt, no hair color, no long hair for boys. That was normal before, I'm not sure now hahah
Good job!
Your english is very good now. ❤

The reason mostly for suspending classes for during heavy rains and stormy weather is for the health welfare of students also for accident prevention.
the fact that she has a korean accent and a tagalog accent at the same time, i love herr! ❤
Thank you so much 🩷💕
it's a good thing you had two graduations look how your english improved a lot and we see you sort of the official translator of the family
