Hi first time watching your video like it can you make a video where you can talk about the real state and properties in your town prices and all that good stuff thanks
@@MovingToMexiCo figured!!! You have similar stories. FYI - I also at one point moved from Calgary to Mexico! Back in Canada at the moment but Mexico never stops calling 📞 📞📞😊. Thinking San Pancho 🙏‼️
I learned in my early 20’s and always had a pretty good grasp. While my Spanish is not at a level of a native speaker, the 9 years living here has made it a true second language.
That’s a beautiful thing . My wife and I are planning a trip to P.V. Or somewhere thereabouts early next year, maybe we can meet. Keep up the good work and look forward to watching more of your video, adios.
Lol, I never knew you from Adam a week ago but I've probably checked out at least 5 of your vids. How old were you (+/- 5 years lol) when pulled the pin? I live in subtropical Edmonton, so....it's probably time to....✈
Thanks so much for the personal glimpse into your life. I have often wondered what your background was. Really enjoy your channel. Keep up the great work!
Interesting video guy. Success is never without struggles. Are there any videos in the works for furniture purchasing options and suggestions for healthcare insurance providers?
Great episode guys, and really cool to hear the history behind the "move to Mexico". Paul - great interview, and thanks for the cameo 👍. Joel - Janice really prefers the new look. Also, heartfelt thanks for your inspirational story - we all come up with too many reasons and milestones that we have to hit before we can make a big move. You and Jillian are proof that a more fulfilling lifestyle can be yours if you're willing to take the risk. Michas gracias mi amigo!
Nice chill video. Totally get the baggage part! Coincidently, we’ve spent time in Belgium too. Europe is so very civilized for riding (unlike where we are at in Vallarta!).
62 comments. My wife and I watched your last 3 videos, the sapi sounds interesting. There's really nothing new we can say that hasn't already been said. Love your videos you two are amazing. Hope to see you in Bucerias someday when mandates are dropped here in Canada.
Love the video's guys! I've been emailing with Daniela, so thank her for keeping me updated about the projects. We just closed on our place in La Misión de Mita in Punta Mita . Thanks for the Solutions Mex plug. We'll take a look. Short beard looks good. I've never been able to grow one. Only hair on the top of my head!
Love your videos Joel and Paul. We also moved from Calgary last Sept and are going to be settling in Bucerias (on the Upper East side😉). look forward to meeting you one day!
Great video guys! So needed to hear this story right now Joel. Been sitting on the fence since we talked about a year ago!how do we do this? What if? What if?……. As time ticks by. Cheers!
@@MovingToMexiCo I’ve been spending winters in Mexico for 10 years. My Spanish is still at an introductory level because I haven’t taken lessons and almost everyone in the stores and restaurants in Melaque speak English. I really need to step it up.
@@MamaDeezVids I suggest downloading an app like Mondly (I’m learning Arabic and Turkish with it). Then supplement with a program like Michel Thomas Spanish. You can actually take the first course by watching that playlist on our channel. Finally. Just start using it. Even if people speak English just respond In Spanish. If you are uncomfortable that means you are learning;)
Like the beard better now, I was interested in your story of how you came to live in Mexico, but how did you decide Bucerias was the place you wanted to put down roots? I am a fairly new subscriber so sorry if you have already explained that in previous videos. I’m coming to Mexico in November this year and plan on at least three months there in different areas. Love the vibe of your channel, hope to get some time to backtrack and watch some of your past videos.
Good question! We started vacationing in Bucerias almost 19 years ago. After 3 years we new we were going to want to make Bucerias our winter getaway. So we bought a home and then used that evey Christmas and other times during the winter. So that made it easy to make Bucerias our final home.
Hey Joel, I am from the GTA. I am an early 60's ODC roadie, old decrepit & crippled yet still riding fairly strong. Just wondering what your cycling background is? I am just starting my visa application and hope to be in PV beginning of July. I would like to find a good deal on an apartment rental for 6 months. Would you be able to suggest some areas that I should look at? Cheers, David
Thanks for the comments and questions! Got back into cycling in my late 30s. Was pretty competitive in the masters and Cat 3 stuff. I sponsored a local team in Calgary for years and then we moved to Mexico and started doing bike tours. Put on 25 lbs over the covid years but I was too dam skinny anyway ;) still riding just fine. No longer interested in pushing it and rather just enjoying it. Bucerias is one of the best areas to be if you like to ride. Easy acess.
Great story on the move, way too long for a mojito, most people want instant gratification.... 😂 The beard looks way better, we were waiting for the Capt. Lou Albano binder to show up. 😆
We live half the year in PV (and the other half in Vancouver), but right now we are in Calgary babysitting our granddoggie while our daughter and son in law visit Europe! We happened to drive past Casel on 17th yesterday!
Not to be picky BUT you did it wrong. In the video, he muddled the mint first then added sugar and continued muddling for 2 minutes FYI! Made them last night - he also premade the lemon juice soda water with lime. Here's the link:
Actually i did mention that he premade the "lime" juice. Just did not think it is necessary unless you are just trying to save time. In the end, stiring the mint before adding sugar is 6 or 1 half dozen of another in my humble home bartender opinion. ;)

MOVE to Mexico now! We bought through Joel and couldn't be happier.
Hola, new to your site and enjoying the shows. Joel how long did it take you to learn Spanish?

The most favourite people we meat in Ajijic are from Calgary and I spent some time there in the early 00’s really nice city.

Agreed. Life is a constant challenge. We learned a lot from our past and always use that experience to try and build a better future.
Several options but we use Solutions Mexico for most of it. www.solutionsmexico.com/

Thank you 🤗...YOu can definitely rush the mojito but it is not as good.
Great to hear your story. What did you do for medical?
Expat insurance. www.vumigroup.com/ This is the company we have been using.
Great history lesson of why you moved to MX. The "tidier" look suits you! The Mojito is one of my favorites; as long as its not too sweet.
Right on!

Yes. But I would say at half the level I am now. Also I’m still learning new words or sayings.

Just Curious. If you formed a Corporation for the Real Estate Development Business how do you find the corporate and personal tax environment?
We have found that as long as you have a good lawyer and accountant you are off to the races.
Yes way better shorter.

she prefers less ;)
