I know it’s messed up but it still ended up working out for him and he’s living a much better life than the one he had before.
It didn't just "work out for him". He invested the money into real estate and personally I think he made many solid financial decisions.

Coming from India where this story took place, there are many cases like these. I rather give my share of money on Non Profit Organisations, and those which are trusted ones, which I personally go to visit, and I’d not give them money, I’d give them the things they need.
Need beds? Here you go. Need chairs? Here you go. That’s how I roll. You cannot trust these people with money at all.

They simply don't care kind of like how an overthinker would think about everything in detail, while most people diss those things, they can have their reasons like being made fun of as kids for doing certain things and hence they don't wanna make the mistake, other people may not see the criticism they received as anything serious and go about their life.
Similarly here the person doesn't think about others hut just himself I guess tik tokkers would be a better example being selfish unintentionally it happens all the time.
Or they just see another person as totally unrelated so even if the person knows how the other person thinks it's none of his business.

hello there, i have taken information from okcron's video and your videos to explain the void's layout. if you want to read, read. rather than just an infinite black space the void seems to have:
Front (where the filming is taken):
- grey comfortable chair
- table (although not shown, in john's videos john uses it to prop up his phone to record so that he can use both hands)
- light source
Floor:
- grey carpet north-west of the visible area
West:
- wooden shelves
- table
- upside down tub (?)
- chair
- unknown brown block facing the ceiling
- white what seems to be square caravan pillows
In the Void:
- one white pole or support of the ceiling
- eternal darkness
Conclusion:
the unknown is the further front, as it could very well be a wall or unending void. if it is unending void, then there could be multiple areas where there is all the above excluding the in the void category. the support/pole further proves this theory as this could be used to signify that there is another area by travellers.
we do not know how a food or drink supply gets to the void, john and others could have invented fire in the void and cooked the meat of the dead. how h1t1 takes victims to the void from their homes is unexplainable. he probably currently undergoes insanity so he somehow takes people (from this point two) to the void, or rather he has things controlling him from time to time forcing him to take a way of escaping the void (his sane self is unknowing of). all just a theory.
but we know for certain that the void isn't just an unending black space. good day john and godspeed.

edit: from michael storen's video on the east there is some sort of table with blinds on it. and it now seems to be a white ceiling and the void is orange with a stray painting floating. this is truly frightening.
