Hello, thank you for your excellent videos. I have a question, on the English Wiktionary they always add passive meanings to perfective verbs too, for example they say донестись has a meaning of - among others - passive of донести. Yet you (and many others) say that -ся passives can only be formed from imperfective verbs. So who is wrong or is there a truth somewhere in the middle? Thank you for your help.
Bernd Drabick , спасибо за интересный вопрос. This part is confusing. I agree. There are a few verbs that do not fall under the common rule. I believe some reflexive verbs just lost the passive meaning. There are pairs like that. For example, начинать-начать, начинаться-начаться.

@@AmazingRussian Hi, Olga. I have a question and not sure where to send it, so I'll ask here. How would I say "I love and miss you" in Russian? I know the entire phrase would be "Я люблю тебя и скучаю по тебе", but can it be shortened so you don't have to say "you" twice or is it necessary to say the whole phrase because of the different case? Does my question make sense? Thank you for your time. Art
@@ArtWade , it depends on how clear it is to the recipient to whom this message intended. You can shorten it to «люблю и скучаю».

So, when I say something like I was embarrassed by my family why isn’t this also a passive construction? You said it couldn’t be я. This example is just a passive participle, I guess? Thx.
