The Trio version of the finale seems superior, I assume it was composed later? Did Smetena even publish this Sonata? The lack of opus number suggests he might not have, and therefore felt it proper to re-appropriate this finale for the later Trio, perhaps? Either way - delighted to have heard this Sonata - Smetena is a continuous source of joy.
Fantastic why is this sonata not famous? The repeated notes in the third mov. Seem Scarlatti. This sonata has the same qualities of Mendelssohn and Brahms why is it not famous?
What an amazing Composition, very symphonic.
Top Notch!
I've BEEN looking for a complete version of this piece, thank you!!!!!
Какая божественная музыка. Thank you! Never heard before, glad to opening composer to myself. Amazing.
Didn’t expect to hear the 3rd movement from his famous piano trio in the last movement 😳
It surprised me too, at this very moment ... In fact, I thought that UA-cam was showing me another video ...!!
And in bar no 10 the Moldau.

@@schubertuk It was composed later. The superior version IMO

And a great piano as well. Wonder, ....almost sounds like a M&H with that expressive lower register.
Non la conoscevo... Bellissima, sonata di stile Beethoveniano, l'ultimo beethoven!!!!
Me gusto mucho, gracias por compartirla, es como muy orquestal...y nada fácil

Divertissement pour artiste. Composizione gradevole a tratti, ma spesso senza né capo né coda
Last movement of this sonata uses the same theme as the last movement of his piano trio
yeapp, in this article issuu.com/psoc/docs/smetana_pb_issuu
He uses same rhythm for the section. After the section changes, the rhythm changes. So it's like a story.
Very much enjoyed listening ~ thank you!
Thank you so much! The fourth movement is just amazing.
❤
This was composed before the liszt and Brahms sonatas. Underrated composer? (About his piano pieces )
To me this Sonata reminds me of Beethoven's Bagatelles.
@@bartjebartmans -- .....a powerful work....meticulous structure!
@@bartjebartmans it really does! In the first 2 minutes alone, all I heard in my head was beethoven
@@bartjebartmans which Bagatelles
15:30-15:55
This part reminds me of the tune Darryl Hannah whistled in the film, "Kill Bill: Volume One".
Да да... как такое бывает?
Tiene un aire a Liszt

Mmmm nah willy no
@@tr7938 wtf
@@tr7938 1) You like your own comments 😀
2) Philip Glass sucks 😭😭😭😭😭 why? Because some random youtube user named "T R" says so 😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎
Sounds like a simplified version of one of Beethoven’s last sonatas
I was thinking the same!
