I have a TAB A8. I am overall happy with it, except the screen has dull colors, and the processor is a bit weak. But, after watching this video, I think the Lenovo is the better buy. Samsung cheaped out with the dull screen and the Unisoc processor. I wish I'd gotten the Lenovo instead.
@@MTTP-ge6jd I'd certainly pick the Lenovo now that I know better. You can get the Tab A8 a little cheaper, but the Lenovo gives you more value for the money. But since I already have the A8, I will just stick with it. Oh, if you remember, let me know which you picked.
@@blackbeardjay79 It's not a bad tablet; overall it's pretty good, just not as good as the Lenovo. I am going to stick with my Tab A8 for at least a couple of years.
Had the A8 and returned it for the P11 Plus several months ago. The screen was a huge difference. The A8 colors looked washed out. I'm sure this P11 Gen 2 is even better than my Plus.
Nice video! I really like the Lenovo style and look. I'm just skeptical of their longevity and reliability. I bought the M10 Plus Gen3 tablet and right out of box the charging port was defective though it had a great build, screen and sound.
Love your comparison videos. I would like to see the p11 gen 2 vs the cousin m10 plus 3rd gen. Keep up the good work. Im sold on the p11 pro gen 2 ,but waiting for the next discount.
in canada the Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 doesn't come with the pen, weird but whatever I have one unused from buying a flex 5 some months ago. I just wanted a tablet to use as a second monitor during study session at university. Eager to see how that goes ! Thank you very much for your many videos concerning the P11 gen 2, made the choice way easier !
I had a horrible experience with my A8. I could live with the blueish tint of the screen . I constantly had Bluetooth issues it would drop connections and had to restart the tablet to get it back. I also had battery charging issues where it would not charge unless restarted. I finally had enough and replaced it.
I had Wi-Fi issues, too. I think the A8 requires a very strong signal. My router was adjusted to have a stronger signal and now it connects fine. I think Samsung put cheap parts in this tablet. And yes the screen colors are not the best. I don't blame you for returning it. I will keep mine since the stronger signal makes it work better, but if I started over I think I would have bought the Lenovo.
I got P11 G2 kit (case and keyboard; no pen) for $236 P11 G2 is much like P11 Plus but with better processor and 120Hz display. Now P11 G2 and P12 are my favorites
@@roseforyoubabe that's why I'm asking for the difference. To see the results. Why would I even ask if I didn't know that lower refresh rates use less power. 🤦🏻♂️
The Lenovo P11 gen2 also has 6GB version...i am interested but i am not sure about the update policy from Lenovo...I never received an update at my current Lenovo TB-X704F tablet and its still at Android 7....
Thank you for the video! Can you confirm weather this Lenovo Tab P11 Gen 2 can be connected through the USB port to a monitor (just wit the cble) to expand or duplicate de screen? Glad if you can help.
Hey I’m a photographer and looking for a budget tablet to edit photos on. I don’t need anything to crazy because I mostly use my laptop or Mac but I would like to get a tablet to take for quick edits or to show clients with out taking my laptop while traveling. Are there any options that would allow me to plug in a card reader or hard drive to upload to something like light room?
dude the video was wayyyyyy too long. Not enough side by side comparisons. You waste a lot of the viewers time by not doing side by side and taking too long for the video/sound comparisons. Good content just find ways to shorten it. Even if you did an excel snip it of their specs it would have been better. By the end of the video I have no idea which is better just the last comparison.

I think the tab a8 gets better with update n it's at a good price my 1st beginner tablet I love it

They're pretty similar actually I may have to do a comparison though
To turn off the taskbar on p11 (well it minimises it to a small white line at bottom of screen) you simply press and hold it.

Love the vids mate, are you looking at doing the Honor Pad X8 anytime soon?
its not even fair. the lenovo is a lot better. not even the same category of device.
I bought A8 and send It back in one week, the display IS awfull, then I get the P11, and I can Tell, much more decent tablet, 100% more happy

Have you tested the P11 Pro Gen 2 battery life with switching from 120hz to 60hz? I'd be interested to see the difference in battery life
obviously battery life would last longer not using 120 refresh speed

yeah they're getting a little better on software updates but not as good as samsung yet
The Samsung is meant to be Widevine L1, was this a mistake on your part to say L3 or does your unit have an issue?
Nice review! Is the writing experience on p11 gen 2 is good for note taking in school?
its okay, not as good as the s pen on the tab s6 lite but better than some others that don't come with a pen
i am using it with a chinese pen since i can't find the precision pen and it's okay honestly

Hi can make the video about Redmi pad vs Lenovo tab p11 gen2
I don't know about the P11 Gen 2, Yet I know my P11 Plus is a lot faster than my A8 that I basically removed everything Samsung wise other than UI 5.0
What is the antitu benchmark of p11 gen2
Greay video could you do a p11 gen 2 vs p11 pro, or p11 gen 2 vs m10 plus?
yes hopefully later this week or next.
If you consider tab with lte budget and high end can u give recommendations. Or i need wait at the end of the yeara
depends how much you want to spend, i'm curious to see how a couple tablets are that are coming out soon
Why does Samsung have widevine l3 ?!? Didn't know Samsung makes devices without l1
Does the tab p11 gen2 have lockdown mode in the power menu?
A8 currently on sale for $180
Can p11 be used for heavy-duty office work?
if the android version of office is ok for you yes ofcourse. the device is more than capable of that.
I just got the P11 pro gen 2 for less than you got the normal p11.
P11 is good but has a low ppi density, only 207. Picture quality won't be sharp.
Does the p11 come with an adapter or charger brick
yes

Don’t buy lenovo p11 gen 2 in India, you won’t be able to find the cases, screen protectors etc.
